Love this jacket! Only thing I'm hesitant about is the velcro!

Warm jacket and comfortable

It keeps me warm enough. The only problem is that if your small at top and hippy, the fit is off. Fits me good on top, arm is good but pass my waist is tight and the zip keep opening up. I love the hood. It keeps my face protected from the elements.

Warm comfortable and good quality

Very warm and comfortable. Very flattering. Fits true to size. I will say the bottom of the zipper often unzips with movements which is frustrating

I live in NYC and was looking for something that would get me through those walks to the subway, waiting outside for a bus or going for a walk in one of the parks. I also wanted a coat that was not BLACK like all other New Yorkers' coats. I almost didn't buy this because there were many reviews talked about the coat being too heavy. As someone who moves around and travels a lot, the thought of a heavy coat was not appealing to me. However, I decided to bite the bullet and try the coat anyway. I would NOT call this a heavy coat. When my mother saw it one of her first comments was, "Wow, it's pretty light." Ok, it's not as light as one of those ribbed light-weight liner coats or as one of Columbia's Omni-Heat coats (which I had before, but got really old), but I would say the weight is not excessive. I love the color of the coat (green). I get a lot of compliments on it. I think it is a good length. The hood is warm and the pockets keep your hands very toasty. The COAT keeps you really warm too. After the Christmas snowstorm in the Midwest, I was taking a walk with my parents. My dad was complaining that his arms were pretty cold. I was perfectly fine. Glad that this handles city cold and Midwest cold. I have two qualms with this coat. 1) The front closes with velcro (There is a zipper and then there's velcro. There is only one snap at the very bottom of the coat). This means that every time I put on a scarf, the velcro pulls at its threads. I have to remember to be very careful, because I don't want to ruin all my nice scarfs with this coat. :( I wish the coat had metal snaps from bottom to top. 2) The inside pattern of the coat is a little over-the-top with bright blue and highlighter orange. This wasn't a deal-breaker because people don't see the inside, however I was hoping for something that looked more "serious." My plan was to take this to a pretty formal office so I'm a little disappointed that the "vibe" of the inside doesn't quite match the outside.

I have always loved the arctic parka. The new design of the hood is a little annoying and the velcro bothers me. If wearing it open the velcro gets stuck on things and the hood pulls the coat backwards. Other than that it is very warm and great in cold weather.

When the winter temperature dropped down to 11 degrees, this Arctic Parka coat kept me warm and the material blocked the cold air. I am satisfied with my warm winter coat and I wear it everyday.

Very cute and flattering. Unfortunately, as other reviews mention, just a bit too snug across the hips to be comfortable. If it were 2" wider, I would have kept it.

Perfectly warm. Bttons in place of velcro would've been better.

It's a little stiff, but it does keep me warm. The neck ands collar are a little rough and not too warm, but the coat keeps you warm.

It's too big for me ,it's nice to have a xx small size. but this one really likes

A bit heavy! But keeps your warm

Love the length and warmth. Neck area hard to get tight to keep cold out. I have average build and find lower part of coat a smidge tighter than upper and so zipper a little challenging. Color is a little disappointing as it's more dull than what how it appears online. So despite some initial disappointment and slight fitting complaints, I still like the parka enough to keep it.

This is a beautiful coat! I am short so the small was too big, but great quality.

Warm and nice color

I don't have much luck with North Face coats. My usual size of medium is often a bit snug in shoulders, chest and even hips. If I go to a large, I am swimming in it. So I pretty much give up. The Arctic Parka is a beautiful coat and I imagine it would very warm--it just doesn't fit me.

I had this coat for a decade and it was perfect for NYC winters, but finally needed to be replaced. It was beautiful, warm, and lightweight. I'm 4'11 105-110 lbs and the XS fit me perfectly with room for layers, and because I'm so short it went past my knees, which I loved. Unfortunately the new one runs slightly bigger, mostly in the sleeve length. I just couldn't justify the cost not being 100% in love with the fit. But if you're not super petite like me, go for it!!! It'll keep you nice & toasty and stylish :)

Very fitting not too tight or loose. The right amount of warmth for the cold.

This coat is great and really warm overall, but the velcro closers are annoying and stick to my clothing and my scarves.

Good quality and warm but the size is a little be off.
