love that beautiful coat and so warm

Walking to work on very cold, windy or wet days. My other down coat is not as warm. I like the hood-maybe by itself or in addition to my hat.

I wear my Parka when taking long walks in the cold upstate NY weather and I can't believe how warm I feel. I am so pleased with the quality.

I bought this coat because my other coat (different brand) wasn't good.....I bought this coat and it is great, we have had heavy snows and windy cold weather and I use this coat and was not cold at all... It's a great coat! The grey color is lighter than is pictured, more of a light grey than a darker grey....

I've been eyeing this jacket for a while and I finally got this jacket during the Winter sale and I'm so glad I purchased this. I wore an ADD down parka for the past 4 years but it lacked structure and could use extra padding. This parka has everything I want in a parka, stylish, durable, nice structure and extremely warm and most of all comfortable. I am petite, around 4'11" around 95lb, and an XS is a perfect fit and sits right above my knees. My only comment to this jacket would be the hood. I wish it was a bit bigger like a rain jacket hoodie would so it could protect my face a bit more from the cold and the removable fur lining could be softer. Other than that I'm very satisfied with my purchase.

I purchased this coat as a gift for my granddaughter who attends college in the U.P of Michigan - where winters are very bitter and long. She reports that she is now able to walk comfortably, and in style, through campus on even the most frigid and blustery days. Thanks North Face for such a wonderful product and the smile it brought to my granddaughter's face!

Purchased on suggestion of my daughter who owns one . She purchased to walk the dog before dawn on wintery windy days - I just wore mine to the city recently on a cold winter night- very comfortable and wind breaking - not bulky.

This coat is a valuable investment that will last a lifetime . I bought it on sale on the advice of a coworker . We are essential employees so regardless of the weather we are required to be outside in the elements . Many of the hospital employees sport this coat and now I know why. The olive coal or is vibrant and met all of my expectations . The coat is just the right length and does not feel bulky at all. I would recommend this coat 100 percent !!!

Boston winters get pretty cold and this jacket is keeping me toasty! It's also quite stylish and has a great fit- it's not super bulky like most down coats.

Love the color and fit

I'm 5'9" and 140 lbs. Bought a medium and it fits perfect.

I spent 2 months researching this coat. The reviews were less than helpful and not really detailed. The Northface stores are so far and few in between, I wasn't able to physically try on the coat. Since this is my first purchase from The Northface, I wasn't too sure about fit and sizing. So this is my attempt to leave a DETAILED REVIEW and help anyone looking to purchase this coat. First let me give an overview of my size/body type: I wear a L/XL shirt (depending on the brand). Bra size 40C/38D. Pant size 14/16 (depending on the brand). None of my features are overly accentuated. I have hips but I'm not too hippy. My butt is rather on the flat side. I have a round abdomen (not grossly large but it does poke out a bit). My shoulders are proportionate to my size. I haven't measured myself so I really don't know my hip or waste size in inches. On to the review: so I purchased the coat in a 2x because I read reviews saying it runs small. The coat fits a little roomy for my body type, but the XL would have been too small (in my opinion). I think someone that's the same size with more hips/butt would fit a 2X comfortably. I honestly don't see it fitting anyone larger than size 18. I have plenty of room to layer. And even though it's roomy, i don't look like I'm wearing a tent. The waste is sinched with internal elastic, which gives it a very flattering look. The sleeves cover my entire arm, from shoulder to wrist. There are elastic reiforcements inside the sleeves also. As far as warmth, THE COAT IS WARM! Today it was 28 degrees and I felt adequately prepared for the cold. The coat falls slightly above my knee (I'm 5'4") completely covering my butt and upper thighs. It's also windy today but it's hard to tell with this coat. I wasn't able to feel any cold or wind on the parts my coat covers. The material is excellent. I purchased black. Black usually attracts a lot of lint and dust. This coat doesn't. Overall, great coat. Hope my review helps

Brought this coat in Heather Grey. It's a lot lighter in color than the picture but the quality can't be beat. I got a 2XL from the extended sizes and it fit perfectly! Best investment ever! Buy it! I don't feel a thing in the 27 degree weather in philly!
