This jacket is perfect for Chicago winter weather! Not only is it beautiful and warm it fits perfectly. I'm pretty short 5'2" & petite so I was worried about the length & fit. I used their sizing guide & I couldn't be happier.

This coat is so warm! True to size and definitely blocks wind very effectively. The jacket is super cozy and cute and keeps my Californian blood warm in New York City.

I use this coat daily in Chicago! I was advised by the store manager to purchase this coat for walks to the bus and while walking my dog. This coat keeps me nice and warm while being outside.

I live in Michigan and I'm always cold. I have been wanting to replace my 6 year old metropolis parka III with something a little more stylish and updated (and with a fur hood!) and this coat (the Arctic parka) is it! This is definitely a more 'fitted' coat and I won't be able to wear bulky sweaters under it but I love the warmth and the fact that it's wind and waterproof too.

The size totally fits me! I can wear two layers under the jacket. It's windproof, i feel warm enough these days in Boston.

I just moved to the east coast and needed a winter jacket for the cold and snow. This jacket is incredibly warm and comfortable. You only need to wear a sweater underneath and you're good to go. I also like the length of the jacket. It hits me right at the knees because I'm 5 ft 2, so it's perfect. My favorite part of this jacket is the sleeves. I love that there's an inner fleece lining. The pockets also have fleece lining for extra comfort. Overall it's very flattering for a slim silhouette. It's worth the investment!

I hope this review can be helpful to anyone uncertain about sizing, as it seemed unclear whether it ran large or small. I'd say it feels true to size. My size guide actually recommended an M for me but I decided to risk it and buy a S based on some reviews, because I did want something form fitting, especially in a jacket that has some bulk to it, to avoid feeling like marshmallow. So for reference, I weigh 135 lbs and I'm 5'3". I wear a size 34D bra, and usually a size 6 fits well in most clothing. Most of the time size 27 jeans fit me. For fitted tops, I wear a M, and for looser tops, a S fits well. I got size small in this jacket and it fits exactly the way I like. However, if you're my size and prefer a looser fit, M would be the way to go. The sleeves are a bit wide in the upper arm and slightly long so I was afraid sizing up would emphasize that. The body is a lot more snug. I also did not find the length of the jacket an issue at my height of 5'3". For me the length feels perfect. A couple small gripes are that the neck/collar area of the jacket feels quite stiff and the fur trim on the hood seems to sit a bit awkwardly on top of the head. I am finally (and for once!) ready for this NYC winter!

It's a great jacket however I had to return my initial order. I recommend buying one size up if you have a fuller chest. I typically am an XL but I could t zip it up and had to return and reorder XXL. The fit is way better and I have room for layering. I've been wearing it in single digit temps and feel very comfortable. Personally I find the hood a little big because it likes to fall in my face, but I think that's more so I need to adjust it better when I go out. I have the black and it so comfortable and beautiful. I feel very stylish and I would happily purchase again. I highly recommend it to someone looking for the perfect winter coat.

This is my go-to winter coat this year. I love the longer length and feminine cut without the jacket feeling too heavy or bulky. Like other TNF coats, it's extremely warm and comfortable. The removable fur and removable hood are a great option to have, but as of now, I'm wearing the whole ensemble and love it.

I am a teacher with recess duty and I needed a warm coat! This is the perfect coat! I hesitated due to price but it's worth every penny!

I love this coat! I appreciate the sizing tool on The North Face website as it accurately predicated the coat size I needed by answering just a few simple questions. The coat is very warm, waterproof, and great for cold, winter weather! I appreciate that there are cuffs at the end of the sleeves to keep the sleeves in place and prevent cold air from entering the sleeves. I also appreciate the style of the coat (and cinching at the waist) as it provides a flattering look.

So far I've only used this parka a couple times out in 30 degree Manhattan weather, and it's been incredibly warm. With my jacket zipped up and my hood on, I can only feel the cold in the bottom half of my legs! I'm very grateful for this below-knee-length parka (I'm 5'4") and even though it looks a bit big on my smaller frame, it's actually pretty slimmingfor a gigantic jacket.

I wear this coat on really cold days like winter is great for as well with rain so you shouldn't have a problem with those elements wearing this coat. This jacket is true to size the only thing I wish I brought a bigger size cause when I wear my sweaters the feel will be tight but not to tight. But overall great coat for the winter it will keep you dry and warm.

After moving back north from the south, I was on the hunt for a great winter coat. After an unsuccessful purchase last winter, I decided to splurge on this coat, and wow am I happy I did! I am typically a medium but ordered a medium and a large just in case I needed the bigger side for layering. Ended up keeping the medium, as I was swimming in the large! It is definitely a little constricting (can't lift my arms above my head easily) but not feeling like a snowman with slim fit and style makes it worth it. It is absurdly warm for how light weight it is. and doesn't let the wind cut through like my previous down jacket. Highly recommend!

I use this to go to work, around town, for walks. It really does it all, and the nicest thing looks elegant enough and is waterproof, unlike most puffer coats
