I love this coat for winter! It's warm, but also extremely flattering, which is rare to find in a parka (at least for me).

Got this for a last minute up north! Totally surpassed my expectations!

I've been wanting to get a long winter coat, especially since I am transferring to a 4 year college next year in the mid west. I know I will be doing a lot of walking across campus in the frigid cold. I am so happy with this one from the North Face! It's extremely well made and warm. I love the green color and that it's machine washable!

Love the heather gray color. This jacket is warm, comfortable and fits true to size. The length is great,not to short nor too long. I like that it cover the cold car seat when driving.

As a soon to be Peace Corp volunteer in Eastern Europe, I knew my Floridian closet wasn't going to cut in over there. I wanted a coat that was both warm and durable without leaving me looking like a marshmallow. This coat fits all my needs perfectly. While I have yet to test this coat against bellow freezing weather, I have no doubts that it will hold up nicely. I definitely recommend it!

This jacket is so warm, even on the coldest and windiest days. The length is great, goes to my knees and I am 5'6". The good fits perfectly, isn't too big or small and stays on when here is a if wind gust. This jacket is a little fitted at the waist but I am still able to wear a fleece under it and have room for probably another layer. I can move my arms freely and not feel constricted. I love that the sleeve has a ditties cuff at the end and doesn't allow for snow or cold air to get up the sleeve. You will not regret buying this coat!

I am a desert rat relocating to Minnesota- the idea of a true winter with ice/snow/wind is something completely new to me. I opted for this coat after reading TONS of reviews- I am not disappointed. This coat is by no means bulky and cut very flattering. I have more of a waist in this than I did in my prom dress. I never felt cumbersome moving around and never got sweaty or too hot transitioning indoors/outdoors in 5 degree weather. Blown away by the value of this coat- would buy again without hesitation!

First off, I LOVE the new taupe colour - green but still neutral (I usually go for black or grey). Second, this jacket is literally perfect. It's so so so warm but not heavy or restrictive. I wear it during snowstorms and rainstorms, or even just for a walk around the block on a chilly evening. It has a stylish fit which makes me not embarrassed to wear it when commuting to work (I work in a formal business environment - I don't feel like I need to switch out this jacket for a less-warm but perhaps more professional pea coat - I've actually received many compliments on my parka from colleagues). Purchase this coat once, and you'll find it lasts you for years. And when you do decide you'd like to change in for a new one, you'll likely want to purchase the exact same one again like I did (perhaps in a different colour!).

I love how flattering this coat is. It's tailored for a woman's body and doesn't look like you're wearing a sleeping bag like with most down coats. It's very very warm and stylish! Love the New Taupe it's like a dark khaki green color. Would recommend!

I am so happy that I bought this jacket! I am taking a trip to the arctic circle and looking forward to see how good this parka works! I got another one from Eddie Bauer to compare and the north face is SO MUCH BETTER! There's even a convenient pocket on the inside of the NF jacket and is waterproof unlike my EB parka. The fit is true to size. I always wear a M but I got a L bc I will be layering a ton of clothes underneath. The shoulders are slightly narrow on me but fit fine because I sized up. Highly recommend!

I got this parka on sale in vintage white. The color is gorgeous. The fit is very good, with appropriate figure enhancing seams to show a shape (instead of looking like a pillow lol). I'm 5'10 and I got a medium (I went by waist/chest/hip measurements on the size chart). I have pretty long arms and I was worried about it being long enough. Well, it's definitely long enough! I wore this for a dog walk in very wet, cold weather. The rain literally poured! I was completely dry and warm. The water rolled off the coat like beads. Then the dog covered me in mulch and dirt, well, I thought... "that's it for the vintage white coat, Should've gotten the black". Guess what? By the time we walked back, most dirt rolled off of me with the rain pouring on me and washing the dirt off!

I am in love with this jacket. I have been looking a jacket like this for a long time. It is warm, lightweight and waterproof. Good for winter, windy and rainy days. Stylish since the body design is not straight like a bucket. The hood with fur is so lovely, it fits me so well.

It's been YEARS since I've had a really warm coat. I live in NYC and I've always prioritized fashion over warmth. I just got this coat and it's made a world of difference already. I can wear a t-shirt under it in the current ~35+ degree weather and feel warm. It really feels like I'm being hugged with warmth. I don't think the pictures really do this coat justice. It's very fitted, sleek and stylish and has a beautiful lining. I'm 5'4, 125lbs and my waist is about 28 inches. I got a small. The sleeve length is perfect. The fitted waist originally seemed a little tight but I just needed to get used to it, there's room, but I would say size up if you feel you'll need more room than your immediate waist measurement. I love the hood because it's not huge and stays on when I have headphones or a hat on underneath, unless it's windy. The coat goes right above my knees in front and a little lower in the back. It also has a double zipper so if you need more leg room you can unzip it from the bottom. I do wish that the neck area was wider. I can't zip the coat all the way to the top comfortably. I'd like to be able to do that and put my chin into the neck, but that's not possible. If I had bought a medium it probably would have been but I think I would have lost the fitted shape.

I was looking for a warm but stylish winter coat, and saw this on someone. I am 5'9" and 175 pounds and the large fit me like a glove. Love this coat!!

I'm from Minnesota so winters are brutal here and this jacket has kept me warm. This is actually my second time purchasing it for myself because I wanted a different color. I also got it form my 82 year old grandma who needed something warm in the winter I highly recommend this jacket!!

I LOVE this coat!!! I have gone through a lot of down coats because I was always worried about my finances and bought what was cheapest. This coat is worth every penny I paid for it. The fit is comfortably slimming and snug. With my other down coats I always had to wear a sweater or polartec to be warm enough. Today I wore a long sleeve t-shirt and my coat even though I was walking to work in the middle of rain storm. My coat beaded up the water and kept me dry and warm. I still have my first North Face down coat I purchase as a graduate student in 1984. It may not be in the prettiest of condition but I use it to do chores around our farm. I cannot say enough good about North Face products, if you can spend a little extra you will get a high quality product.

I absolutely love this coat!!! So incredibly warm. I'm 5'9 155 lbs and I ordered a medium and it fits perfectly! The sleeves are even long enough for me which I can rarely find in a coat. I bought the black one and it's gorgeous. I would love to get the gray eventually too...

I lovethe coat so far. Have only had a couple of days so no chance to wear it yet. On the pro side it looks very durable. Also the zipper seems VERY durable. Very stylish and comfortable.

I have been eyeing this jacket for awhile and then it went on sale and I decided to jump on it! And so glad I did!

I LOVE this coat! I had originally purchased a Columbia coat and I found it to not be very warm or wind proof. This coat is both of those things and more! Very cute and flattering and great quality! I would buy this coat over and over again!

I finally have a North Face coat. I always buy for my son has 6. We live in the North East and have major storms. I really really Love that I found my size.

I really like the Arctic Parka II ... This one replaces the one I bought years ago ...

Bought for my college-age daughter. It keeps her warm on long walks to class!!
