Great buy! Super cute and very warm. I live in the U.P. Of Michigan and it keeps me nice and toasty!

Love the look of this coat, however it is really big. I ordered medium, I am 5'8 140lbs and its big all over. Exchanging for the smaller size. Zappos was as awesome as ever though, always so fast!

Super cute! No way it will work with a sweater or sweat shirt underneath. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs. Going to buy the next size up and see how it fits with extra layers.

This jacket is overall great. The fit aligns to expectations (not too big or small) and it keeps me toasty. I've been using the jacket in an arctic climate (lowest being -35 c) and have found it to be well suited for every day use. The one downside is the zipper quality on the jacket (Northface, what are you doing?). The zipper on the jacket is closer to the type that you would find on light summer wear; it doesn't match the jacket type. It's also flimsy and gets stuck in the lining quite often. I'm at the point of debating to remove the old one and replace it with a more heavy duty zipper as it's such an irritation. If they improved this element on the jacket, I would give it 5 stars.

First, Thank You So Much for making a Parka that is a perfect longer length for a Short Petite Woman. I am 5 feet and104 pounds, so not easy to find a coat that fits perfect. Usuallty they are way too long. The entire coat in an XS is a perfect fit, except the arm length is about 1 inch too long :( I am willing to deal with it . I may take it to the tailor. Also, the placement of the little black square for cords, is almost an eye sore. When the jacket is zipped nicely to the chest area, with the coat folded back, the square hits sideways on my chest. It should be placed or hidden under the jacke more. Its annoying that it can not be removed. Its actually a feature I would not use anyway. Lastly, I wish the pockets were larger and not zipped. When you place hands in pockets they are small and you feel the cold zipper at your wrist. Add something soft also to the inside of the pockets. Otherwise, it is a streamlined coat. I felt like I was sweating trying it on in my house. So should be perfect for cold temps. The fur on the hood is beautiful and looks real! Nice shades of black, brown, and gray. Sorry this is detailed, but it is so close to perfect for me. I love that it doesn't have a stand up neck collar!! Please make more parkas in this length, and add more colors!!!!!

Fit was great. I weight 220 pounds, and have wide hips. I was going to purchase the longer version of this coat, but because of their size chart I decided not to and went with this version instead. I love The North Face stitching in black (instead of white). I don't like people noticing the brand before the coat itself. I will be taking this to Germany in December and I know I will do fine! So excited. Will update this post if I get cold in Germany. *I should mention this fits perfect, but do not expect to wear anything too thick underneath. I'll just be wearing base layers though, so no complaints there.

I found the parka to be a little light, otherwise I loved it

The Mauna Kea has styling similar to the Trillium coat in a certain Goose brand, but is much more affordable. It has knit ribbed cuffs to keep the cold out, handwarmer pockets on the chest, and no velcro (velcro gets caught on knits and is a sure way to ruin sweaters, gloves, skirts, etc). It looks awesome on my petite frame: I'm 5'1", 115 lbs, 32C and got the Small (the XS was too tight in shoulders). Unlike other coats that can be a bit overwhelming, this coat is very flattering. One thing to point out: it could be a bit longer - it barely covers your rear when sitting and those 3-6 inches of extra exposed thigh make a difference on cold, windy days. Another thing: they say that the pockets are fleece-lined, but it's more like a thin flocking - doesn't give you that cozy fleece feeling when you shove your hands in to keep them warm. Overall, a pretty good buy - but if windchill bothers you and you don't like wearing long underwear or layering pants, maybe go for a longer coat.

I had the hardest time figuring out what size I am. I am 5'2'' and weigh around 130 pounds and I bought a size small. It fit but it was too tight for me. I am going to return and try to get a size medium.

I am 5'9, so I have long arms, I probably should have ordered a Large for the length. Wish there were side pockets, otherwise, cute coat

I purchased this for the Boston winters. My old coat wasn't cutting it, and I have high hopes for this one come November. I immediately started to overheat while just trying it on, so I hope it will do its job when it gets below freezing. I love the cut and design of the coat. The buttons are so cute, and there are so many pockets. My only concern is the zippers. They seem to stick at the bottom. Hopefully the track will become smoother with use. I purchased the grey, and the color of the fabric and the fur are true to how they look online. I have high hopes for this jacket.

Great coat for NJ winters. Love the style but wished it was about 2-3 inches longer. The sizing for me is a little off - the XL was too big but yet the LG is a little snug.

Good warm jacket but less flattering than on the model. THe grey looks like it's a little sinched and has a waist in the photos but in reality it hangs pretty heavy.

I ordered this coat for my sister who was looking for a green winter coat with a furry hood. Although it was slightly more fitted than she'd like, she ended up keeping the coat because it's thick, warm, looks nice, and made of good quality. It also means she wouldn't have to layer as much since the coat is already very thick and warm. Not a short or super long jacket, so I think it looks good on people who are 5'4 or shorter. Great coat!

warm and comfy - zipper a bit strange

I live in Wisconsin and have had the jacket out in low 30's with wind and the jacket is very warm. I love the way the looks and the big pockets are great! The only con I would say is that it is a bit snug, partly because the inside is down and compresses as you wear it, but it isn't as roomy as previous North Face jackets I've had, so if you're between sizes I'd go up.

This is my 3rd Northface coat and I love it! Gets a little overheated in subway or metro so may help to unzip or take off while riding

made small, I have 4 other North Face jackets, all in size small that fit perfectly, however this was far too tight even with a t-shirt underneath so I had to exchange for a larger size. Also not as warm as I was expecting, compared to other North Face down parkas.

Nice parka. Didn't like the way it fit on me. Had issues with the zipper.
