Using this to go out

I always take this parka in snow and big wind days. It is very warm.

I got this coat to be prepared for college in New York winter - though I do currently live in Chicago. This coat is very warm, all of the pockets are fleece lined which adds extra warmth for hands. My only complaint is that the shoulders are a little tight, but nothing too bad. I would highly suggest this coat. It is also quite frame flattering.

I use this item almost daily during the cold mornings. It gets to below freezing and the coat without a doubt keeps me warm. It's a very cute coat too. I like the structure of the coat, very feminine lines. The buttons are also a super cute detail. My favorite aspect is you can actually move in it, it's not too stiff. Which I frequently find in winter coats.

Great coat! I live in Iowa where it can be VERY cold and this coat has a great amount of insulation to keep warm but not be so bulky like some coats. I read the reviews before buying and I am normally a medium, went with a large, and it fit perfectly. For reference, I'm 5'2 and 140 lbs. I like coats loose enough to wear a thick sweater underneath and this is a great, comfortable fit.

J'ai achet ce manteau dans une boutique Montral car j'tais mal prise et sincrement je suis vraiment surprise par sa qualit. Je conseille de prendre une taille de + qu' l'habitude, car il sera trop serr sinon (je fais habituellement du XS ou du S et le M me va parfaitement!). J'adore ce manteau car il est super chaud (parfait pour attendre le bus en ville ou se promener durant quelques heures) et qu'il n'a pas de fourrure animale!

I needed something that would look good with my work attire AND keep me warm. This coat will do both. I couldn't be happier with my purchase. Runs true to size.

Really warm. I love it but I will agree that it is slightly small in the hips but I'm curvier in that area. 5'2 125lbs and i ordered a small. Fits perfectly but slightly snug in the booty.

Manteau vraiment chaud et lger porter. La coupe est trs belle et poches sont grandes. Mais attention, taille petit! Habituellement chez North Face je fais du M, mais celui-l il a fallu prendre un L. Malgr a, je suis trs contente de mon nouveau manteau.

My husband got me this coat as an early Christmas gift! I needed a new winter coat as mine were too big, and we are going to Finland at the end of the month. I. LOVE. THIS. COAT. I would definitely size up, but it is seriously so warm! We live in Minneapolis, and the temps have been in single digits, this coat has kept me so warm in the evenings while out walking the dog. Now its definitely not a coat you go skiing in, but to wear out and about on super cold days its worth it!

This is my first North Face jacket. I wanted something that was windproof and waterproof to keep me warm while walking dogs, running errands, etc. in cold weather. I'm very satisfied! It keeps me quite warm (sometimes too warm if commuting in the car or subway--but unzipping helps). I wore it for an outdoor event recently and was standing around outside for several hours. My toes were cold--but everything covered by the coat stayed nice and toasty! My only quip is I wish the sleeves were just a tad longer--they slide above my wrists if I lift my arms to shoulder height, but I do have longer that average arms.

Arrived promptly in the mail after two days (<3 zappos!). Beautiful, lightweight coat that will be great during winter months! 5'2", 128 pounds, small fits perfectly with room for sweaters/layers. Only wish would be to add a belt to cinch the coat around the waist to make it look a little more fitted.

Love this jacket. It's so warm but lightweight- exactly what I was looking for. Perfect for Chicago winters! It's just as warm as my NF metropolis, but with half the bulk.

It looks great, perfect length for my 5'2" height and not too bulky. It appears well made with the down in the inside and dense outer material which seems like it will be wind and rain resistant. Have not worn outside yet. I am 130 pounds and the medium fits well with plenty of room for a sweater underneath.

Love the look of this coat, however it is really big. I ordered medium, I am 5'8 140lbs and its big all over. Exchanging for the smaller size. Zappos was as awesome as ever though, always so fast!

Super cute! No way it will work with a sweater or sweat shirt underneath. I'm 5'1", 110 lbs. Going to buy the next size up and see how it fits with extra layers.

This jacket is overall great. The fit aligns to expectations (not too big or small) and it keeps me toasty. I've been using the jacket in an arctic climate (lowest being -35 c) and have found it to be well suited for every day use. The one downside is the zipper quality on the jacket (Northface, what are you doing?). The zipper on the jacket is closer to the type that you would find on light summer wear; it doesn't match the jacket type. It's also flimsy and gets stuck in the lining quite often. I'm at the point of debating to remove the old one and replace it with a more heavy duty zipper as it's such an irritation. If they improved this element on the jacket, I would give it 5 stars.

It's a warm jacket, but gets dirty rather quickly and is a little snug for a size small. I probably should've gotten a Medium
