Lightweight and comfy. Cool!

The apex bionic has always been my favorite style by the northface. Casual enough to wear with jeans yet dressy enough to wear with dress pants for a more business type of look. My only complaint with this jacket is that when you sit down it really bunches up. I was going to go with an extra small size because I'm always nervous about the way jackets fit on me without trying them on. I decided instead to go with a small and I'm glad I did. The sleeve length is perfect and although it does bunch it's a comfortable feel. For reference I am 5'4 and 107lbs. Also, like many of the other reviewers have written the collar does not like to stay rolled down, this doesn't bother me but for some it may.

I love this jacket although I should have purchased it during the cold season. It's too heavy for spring. Can't wait for fall!

I like the way the coat fits. I bought it in March, I can't wait to see if it keeps me warm in the winter. I hate heavy bulky coats.

I bought my first jacket in 2010 so it lasted 6 years before I bottom another one! And it still looks good, a little wear on the sleeves and elbows.

This jacket is very nice. I'm glad I bought it. It is a softshell material. It is said to be windproof and water resistant - I haven't tested those. The fit is "active", which seems to be just about a half size smaller than normal. I am a solid XS (5'2" 107#, small busted). I bought a SM because the XS fit was spot on when I only had one shirt on, but when I added another layer suddenly the arms were stiff and it just felt too small. So the SM hangs on me a bit if I don't layer up, but I figured I'd most likely be wearing this jacket on days when also layering. The arms are a bit long - not awful but about 1 inch longer than they'd be on 'normal' sized women. The length comes down to about the bottom of my butt - again not awful, but about an inch or two longer than on a 'normal' body. I'd love to see this is a Petite size - it is nice when clothes fit right. This isn't something that can be altered easily but a novice, though I don't feel the need to alter. I really do like it, mostly because it is warm and windproof. I plan to wear it on the boat wear the wind can make me so cold, and also around town as a casual jacket. I also would love to see the option for a removable hood or one stuffs in the collar. I don't have any need for a hood in town, but I'd love the option to have one when the wind picks up on the water. I also like the bright colors for on the water (just in case that wind takes me in to the water :)

I ordered the white jacket and I love it. I get lots of compliments when I wear it out. It so comfortable and warm.

I live in Michigan so I am was looking for something to wear on those not bitter cold winter but not quite spring days. The morning could be 30 but when I leave work it might be 50. Aside from the jacket being warm but light,I absolutely LOVE the color!

I can wear it with at t-shirt or I can have a hoodie underneath if it's super cold. I like that it can go from a casual jacket to a dress up jacket.

I bought two of these jackets for myself--one in white and one black--as well as one for every member in my family. We all LOVE it! Not only does the fleece lining make it warm and comfortable, but it is also sleek and stylish enough to be worn with virtually any outfit. I wear it to work with my business casual attire during the day, when I'm out with my friends for cocktails at night, and on the weekends when we play outdoors. It is super easy to clean, which is a HUGE plus! I get compliments on it on a daily basis, and love the way it fits. This is the only jacket you'll need this winter! *Best for mild winters, as opposed to negative temperatures and several feet of snow.

This is my first Northface product and I have to say I love it! Fit is good but not oversized. More like a glove that gives when I move. Very warm and comfortable. Sleeves are a little long on me. My arms are average length.This is not a problem though.

I bought this for my wife. She loves it and it looks great on her. She says it's very warm and she loves the style.

I don't like to wear winter coats and prefer to do layers. This is perfect to use paired up with a hooded waterproof jacket for rain or snow or fleece for more warmth.

I wore this jacket for the first time running on a very cold windy day. It is lightweight enough for running and the wind did not penetrate! I am a size 12-14, so I purchased an xl because I like extra room with the active cut, but probably could have gone with a large. The xl is plenty big enough for layers underneath. Overall very satisfied.

This jacket is one of my best envestments. You can not feel any wind through it on a highly windy day. Plus on cold days it would be easy to layer under it. The fit is just superb. Very feminine. I enjoy that it is a little longer in the back.
