I really like the jacket style & fit. My daughter has one like it in a child's size and I've liked it since giving it to her for Christmas. I ordered the sugary pink/high rise gray but didn't realize the gray would show through the pink. It looks like stripes of gray/dirt along the seams. I couldn't see this from the picture on the web. I called Customer Service and they were very helpful. I'm sending the sugary pink one back and have ordered the bright pink instead. So disappointed that the sugary pink didn't work - but looking forward to the new one arriving soon!

I live in Michigan and it has been extremely cold this winter. I was worried this coat would not be warm enough but it was actually pretty good. The fit runs a bit small once you add a sweatshirt or sweater underneath. I used the fit selector on this website and it suggested that I order a Large (I wear a size 10 jeans and I'm 5/7") but I wish I would have ordered an XL. My coat is black with hot pink interior, which I love! However, today my zipper pull fell off and there are 6 teeth from the zipper track missing. I called TNF and they offered to let me mail the coat back and then they would ship me a replacement. Fine, but they are out of my color and I have to replace it with something I don't care for as much. I'm pretty disappointed. I'm not rough with my coat and I've been using it for less than 2 months. Very disappointed in the quality.

I loved the idea of this jacket, being thin and able to keep you warm from the "thermoball technology". It looks great on and it is nice and thin. However, it is not what I would consider a winter coat. The wind goes right through it, and it just does not keep you warm. I have to wear many layers under it. Still a great jacket for Fall and chilly nights, so I decided to keep it. But I am still in search for a winter coat, this one just did not fit the bill.

This coat looked adorable on my 13 year-old but when she wore it to school on a 30 degree day she froze. I wish NF would have actual temperature ratings on their products like LL Bean to take out the guess work.

I was very unhappy to receive such a thin jacket :( I bought this for a ski trip and this would do nothing to keep me warm. $200? this thing is worth 50$ I am returning. My north face jacket from 10 years ago is much better quality for the price

I bought this jacket in matte black hoping I could hike and jog outside in winter with it, but I am not sure if it is warm enough when it is windy as well as freezing in the Northeast. A few times, I had to go back inside and switch to a warmer jacket. And sadly, it is unflattering if you are short and curvy. It seems to be designed for tall, flat-chested people. I bought both the small and the medium based on the size-finding tool which predicted 25% fit on Small and 75% fit on Medium. The Small fits perfectly everywhere except around the chest. It zips up and everything but looks tight in the chest. The medium is too big everywhere and looks dumpy and dorky. It just doesn't look like I spent anything like how much this jacket costs.

The jacket was not what expected. I order it online in black, which in person looked like a hefty bag. And for the price, definitely was not expecting super lightweight. However the Crescent fit my needs way better.

6 moths after purchase the zipper is jammed and won't zip up. The plastic protected on either side of zipper is peeling off.

The fit was bizarre: top was too big and loose and hips were too tight (I am a size 2, 113 lbs, and size small fit did not fit). I tried virtually all versions of this - including the down jackets, with and without hoods, and all of them had this odd fitting problem. I returned the jacket.

So the color (and image) say asphalt gray - which you expect to be a dark grey. This jacket is black. Perhaps closer to navy blue, but there is nothing about it that is grey. Even tried on with a pair of black pants and it all looked like one color. The zipper color is also actually more of a true bubble gum pink, but that isn't nearly as poorly misrepresented as the "gray". will be returning the jacket.

I wanted a light weight winter jacket for mild days and to use when snowshoeing and winter hiking. I was led to believe that this jacket was breathable and as warm as similar weight in down. Unfortunately, I just had a chance to test it for snowshoeing. The jacket was totally soaked inside which means it did not breathe. It is not good for wind resistance. All I can say is it looks good, fits good and is definitely only for casual wear, not windy, mildly athletic wear. It is an expensive jacket for such a limited athletic use.

This jacket was way too small had to return it ...my friend has the same jacket XS size and I purchased S size was exactly the same measurements ....I went to the local store that has this kind of jacket and small size Was fine true to size in one color then I tried another color size S it was to big .... Very confusing what I discover that there is three different jackets that I tried on size small that actually are three different sizes in the real life ......

I felt like the Michelin tire guy in this jacket. North face site recommended size M, but the sleeves were puffy huge, and the jacket itself felt loose, not form fitting, sleek as pictured. I am 5'5", 128 lbs, slightly curvy, average figure. It was a lot more lightweight than I expected, but it did seem that it would be warm. Not for me .Returned.

I gave this 2 stars because of the style. It is a very pretty coat and you can wear it by it self on cool days, the arms also seem to be a bit longer and I like that. The reason it did not receive 5 stars was because after only one month of wearing it it started to ball up. All of the little pouches on the coat started to deform. Making it no longer warm or beautiful. I tried to return it online and they said my order number was invalid. I tried to return it in the store but they would not it let me because they said I needed to have it freshly washed in order to do that. And to return the next day(but it is an nour and a half from here so i will not be going there again)And that because either had worn it a month they didn't think Northface would accept the return. I paid a lot of money for this jacket and find it frustrating that it fell apart. And that it has been such a pain to return it. At this point I am keeping g the jacket, but only use it for barn work as it is not presentable for anything else.

The only reason I didn't end up buying this jacket is because I wished it was a few inches longer. The warmth that those extra inches will provide makes a big difference.

I loved the look of this jacket because of it's off-the-center zip front. I bought an XS because I am petite. However, this jacket feels even too tight for my small frame. I fit in it but would not he able to move around or do any sports in it. So I will need to return. It does however look stylish and feels warm.
