I liked the vest, but I am longer in the torso and this was a bit short on me, so I had to return. Still looking for the perfect winter vest!

Loved this vest! It wasn't too puffy for a puffer vest. I love things with inside pockets which this has. The collar is comfy and the vest is warm. I was so sad though when I zipped it up and the length on it is very short. My stomach would still get cool. I like things like this to fit snugly so it keeps me warm. This just didn't quite cut it due to the length. :(

I purchased this item for my girlfriend and had to return because it was too large, even though I used the sizing software on the North Face website and was very accurate with my input parameters. Besides being a bit too large I would describe it as a quality product, and I actually reordered a different style of North Face vest upon returning this item.

I'd been wanting a Northface vest for years (based solely on reputation and style) and finally decided to purchase one after moving to Nothern AB. I completed the fitting questionaire and based on the results I got, ordered a small. I'm 5'6", 117lbs with broad shoulders and unfortunately for me, the vest was HUGE and had to be returned as it made me look way bigger than I am. I tried on an XS at the store and it also was too big for what I wanted. Needless to say, if you're looking for a vest to wear bulky layers under this might work but if you're hoping to just wear a base layer/fitted top like I was, this might be too big. It would be great if Northface would design an xxs or make their clothing true to size! For now I'll have to look to other companies for a down vest.

I really liked the vest, but the pink was too pink accents were too much for me. It would have been hard to wear this vest with other colors, so I am returning for another NF vest.

I have the original Nuptse, also 700 fill, but thicker/heavier/warmer, straight cut, and I love it and wear it all the time over everything form gym shirts to sweaters to my fleece jacket. I really wish TNF would bring it back! Especially since it's really a different cut and style from the Nuptse 2, which is thinner/lighter/less warm and has a more feminine (read: tighter) fit. This is not a bad thing, but the armholes on the N2 are much smaller than on the original Nuptse, so layering the N2 over a thicker type of pullover is impossible because it chokes the armpits. This is a common design flaw in many tops (not just TNF) and a very annoying one. This coming from someone who's 5'4" and 105 lbs. Please make the armholes larger! And bring back the Original Nuptse!

I bought this to wear casually as a layer over other hoodies/fleece and my scrubs(I'm an RN). It was a lot puffier that I had thought and it wasn't that long-those were the biggest draw backs for me. It made me feel very bunched up with other layers under it. It was very warm however. I think this is a good product, it just didn't fit my needs.

I ordered this with the intention to use it over a hoodie or just a fleece pullover. It was boxy and seemed bulky.

Originally I bought this in a small and it fit perfectly everywhere besides the shoulders it puffed about two inches above, like a too big life vest no returned it and got an extra small, it still feels like it has too much air in the collar and I can't get it to sit right. Now it fits in the shoulders and everywhere but when zipped is way too tight and the bottom across the waste and a little too short. The fit of the best is just awkward.

I love the color combination, black/green/ and it is long enough. It is just bulky for what i like a vest for. Wear them all the time ,but i like therma ball weight and construction, so you can add to it .Wouldn't ever want to try and put a coat over this .

This vest I feel is average. I was expecting it to be "puffier" being that it is 700 down. Also, I think the size runs a bit small. Online, I had put in the measurements to get a size suggestion and was told a size large. After trying on the vest, it needs to be exchanged for an extra large as it is too tight in the mid-section and it would be nearly impossible to try and wear a sweatshirt under the vest. Other than that, I feel that I will enjoy the vest once I receive the proper fit.

I think I'm somewhere in between a medium and a large. If it had darting (or just darts) it may be more flattering. I look like I'm in the middle of a box.

Thought this vest did not work out well, North Face exchanged it for the black vest, which I love so much and have no problems with!

First of all I would like to say this is a comfortable vest, and if you are looking for warmth this is the vest for you, however I was seeking something more on a fashionable style. I am 5 ft 4", small frame, I usually wear size 4. I ordered a small it fit comfortably with 2 layers on, but it made me look large in the waist area, my torso is short. If you have a long torso, I think it would look better. In my opinion this vest does not flatter the waist area, (unless you leave it unzipped). It is very well made and I would definitely recommend this to a person looking to just keep warm this winter. Also the arm holes are way too big. I am sure an extra small would have fit better in the waist area. I feel it is a great price for the product.

I wanted to love this vest, but the gap between the vest and my shoulders was strange. I have never seen this in any of my vests (North face, Columbia, Mountain Hardwear, Nike, Patagonia). If it was not for this, I would have kept it. I originally purchased the Medium and thought this issue was because of size, but I think it's the design. Generally I love North Face products, and we have bought luggage and all sorts of clothing and shoes. So sad I had to return the vest.

My 1st vest became discolored and "spotty" looking so I returned it for another. The 2nd one had this same problem after only 2 weeks of wear. I washed it but the "spots" remained. I will be returning it. The vest fit me very well so I'm disappointed in the fabric.

Zipper fell off the first day. The store would not exchange it to my surprise so it went to their warranty department January 16. March 7th I called and was informed it passed their review?!? At this pace I will have a down vest for summer. Terrible experience!

This is too big and too puffy. I am 5'5" and 115 pounds and the small was too big. Which is insane.
