I was disappointed with these boots at first. I am a 7.5 and ordered a 7.5 but they felt a full size too big with a thin wool sock. They rubbed the back of my ankle. I figured they'd fit with a thick sock though, and I couldn't find another all black waterproof winter walking boot. Now the snow and ice is here and I'm really happy with these. They fit well with my thickest socks so my feet are really warm but never feel sweaty. Great traction, I feel secure walking in snow, and they seem waterproof. They secure around my ankles well and the rubbing is minimal now. They will only be good for winter weather, but that's a long time here in Michigan. I'll have to get something else to wear during the warmer months.

Overall I really like this boot; it has a solid sole, laces up quickly, and is moderately warm. I wear an 8.5 but many Salomon’s I need an 8 -so def order 1/2 size down. I’m outdoors everyday with my dog or walking. I have to level up to a warmer boot if temps are below 20s. We haven’t had enough snow to experience how the boot is in the snow but I assume it’ll be ok. I’ll never understand why they put the flimsiest, nothing inserts in their boots. I have to pull them out and BUY good inserts to place instead and for that, I took a star off.

9 too small and 9.5 too big. Narrow at parts. Nice looking shoes and good grip. Really wanted to keep but it didn’t work out.

The boots fit great. Fit is excellent. Then i took them for a spin. Felt supportive, warm & even waterproof but after a few times i started having nerve pain up my right thigh to my hip. I'm sure its just me, but they continue to give me discomfort. I never had a problem before wearing them. So, they have to go back:(

Uncomfortable inside

Wish I could get a refund. The lace hooks catch and I’ve tripped numerous times. They are not malleable So I cannot close them tighter w pliers. Terrible design

I bought this boot years ago and have worn it to the point I desperately need another pair. Too bad for me. Salomon now thinks women's sizing ends at 10. I was told by a representative that I am now supposed to go to men's. Really? Do men with small feet go to women's shoes? They would never think of doing that. It took US consumers years to get Merrell to include 10.5 in their sizing, and now if you want a 10.5 they are always sold out. Get with it Salomon if you are going to sell your stuff in North America, or just keep it in Europe.
