I enjoyed this bag for three months - I used it for my laptop and notebook. The zipper broke and repair would take over a month. For a high quality expensive product I would expect a better product but even more, better customer service. I went to the store which would not take a return. They ship it to the repair center, and they take over two weeks to contact you and give an estimate. Then another two weeks for repair and ship back. I would not buy Tumi again.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE THIS BAG! I purchased the black color and it is absolutely beautiful. The fabric and quality is exactly what I would expect from Tumi. The gold hardware makes it dressy enough to use as a handbag. The multiple pockets are perfect for your cell phone, wallet, makeup,books, magazines, iPad, laptop and lots of other goodies. I really love the flap on the back which allows you to securely place the backpack on the handle of your suitcase. It easily fits under an economy seat on an airplane too. I can't say enough good things about this backpack. Tumi thought of everything with the Voyageur Calais Backpack!

I love this backpack. I was looking for something to use for a carry on that could hold my purse and other things that I could slide under the seat. I hate gate checking bags, and there are several things I need to carry. The khaki was gorgeous, looking more like a shimmering gold. I tried the smaller version of another Tumi pack, but it was too small and didn't have as many internal or external pockets. I could easily carry this as a larger purse on a daily basis, but probably won't. It was very comfortable on my shoulder in spite of being loaded down for my trip. It's a lot of money, but I consider it well spent.

Really great perfect-sized backpack for laptop and general work/travel needs. Super lightweight, just enough pockets, and straps are really comfy even when bag is loaded with stuff. Does not look overwhelming on a petite short frame.

FINALLY!! I have been looking and searching for a work bag that could hold my umbrella, lunch bag AND my laptop along with the kitchen sink and not feel like an anchor. The Tumi Voyager meets all of my needs! Enough room on the the inside where I won't have to struggle to pack for work. Best investment in my opinion.

Overall a nice bag. Debated on a Tumi backpack for a long time and finally decided on this one. It’s one of their larger bags so wasn’t sure if it would be too big but really it is not a “large” backpack. Wouldn’t have wanted anything smaller. Styling is very nice as expected. The only thing I really don’t like about the bag is there is nowhere to put a water bottle. The exterior side pockets aren’t deep or tight enough to hold my S’well bottle securely. So I have to put it in the main compartment inside but there is nothing to hold it in place so it ends up laying sideways at the bottom of the bag. A little strap or something to hold the bottle upright along the side would be a very welcome improvement. A minor thing but for this price it would be nice to have. The material of the bag is very thin and silky feeling which makes it feel “dressier” than a typical backpack. Not sure how well it will hold up over time but so far no issues. Granted I use the bag for business, not backpacking on the AT. :) All in all, a very nice bag.

Beautiful bag! Spacious, but not bulky, very organized and stylish. I used it the first time for airline travel and it was great! I will not go back to a tote for travel. The backpack is much healthier for my back. The shoulder straps did not slide off my shoulders. I am 5'5" tall. The bag is wide enough to carry letter size folders horizontally, so I will even start using it in lieu of a brief case for work.

I took this backpack to Africa. Plenty of room for items for the long flight. Fabric easy to keep clean. Love the idea that it will slip over the handle of luggage for easy travel through the airports. Got in purple and had many complements for my choice of color. Can use on a daily basis for commuting

Function and beauty in one!

I am able to carry my laptop, files, random items and lunch in upright position, which is a major factor for me!

Gorgeous backpack. This is really not a handbag substitute. It has lots of room for a laptop, good pockets and sturdy straps. And it is really cute! I ordered the Halle and this one. Since I was looking for a bag only to carry my DSLR and wallet, this one is really more than I was looking for. It's going back...until I can find a reason to own it!

I can't say enough good things about this bag! I bought it for a trip with an airline that had strict carry on requirements. I love all of the interior and exterior pockets, it makes it easy to stay organized and the fact that it can slide over your suitcase and stay secured is invaluable! Highly recommend!

The best purchase ever! It has enough space for just about everything, without becoming too heavy. Such a well-made bag; I'd be lost without it!

Tumi is my go to luggage..It is durable, smart looking and holds so much. This bag was purchased for my first trip to Africa. So it needed to hold a lot. Love t!

I love this bag. I use it Monday through Sunday, every day in all weather and with all my outfits. The pockets make it easy to pack flat and still be able to access everything. I love the snug trim shape.

It’s a beautiful backpack designed for urban living and travel. Easy to stow a laptop separately and not need a laptop case as well. I especially like that I can attach it to my luggage through the sleeve. This is very helpful when rushing through the airport, getting on and off a plane, or when I’m fatigued and don’t want to carry anything on my shoulders. It’s well made and I have two suggestions for the next update: create a place to conveniently store an accessible water bottle and allow the straps to be made smaller for petite frames (had to take in for strap alterations).

I ordered the Pine color. It's not the Calais backpack above, but instead appears to be the Tumi Daniella backpack, but with a scratched and battered tag claiming that the backpack is a "Calais." It is not. I'm returning it. Buyer beware -- if there is only one Pine colored backpack, don't order it.

INDIGO FLORAL ONLY: Not sure if this is defective or simply the result of a poor fabrication decision on Tumi's part. The fabric is so soft that the bag does not stand up enough to load with being cumbersome. I feel like I need a third hand just to get to my mobile or wallet. Fail.
