Rugged and light but won't fit overhead. I fly mostly AA. Have had to check it in 2 out of 3 flights. Kept this and got the Topas instead which is much heavier but no problems carrying on.

Alloy frame, hinges and corners make this an extremely stable & durable piece - the same as Topas except it has polycarbonate vs. aluminum shells, so it is a bit lighter. This is the larger of the two carryon pieces Rimowa makes and is a bit large for smaller/older overhead bins - it is ideal for international business class. I also own the slightly smaller IATA size for use otherwise. This is essentially the same dimensions as Rimowa’s 26” check-in piece, only 4” shorter. I have 2 of those as well, but Salsa Deluxe vs. Limbo & the Limbo is MUCH sturdier. Rimowa is expensive, but worth it in my opinion.

Wheels great. A bit wider Han your average carry on. Light!
