I have purchased two of these packs over the last 5 years. They are both used daily by my sons to carry a ton of school books to and from school and classes. They have been extremely durable and have the right amount of humongous capacity my high school student needs. This pack has been a great investment.

Great backpack and durable.

I bought this for my 15 year old daughter for Christmas at her request. This backpack fits a tiny 80 lbs 5'4 young lady well and is very comfortable for her computer and books. She loves it for the elements. We live in MT and feels comfortable using for short outdoor trips; as well as, keeping stuff books dry in the snow and varied conditions when she travels for sports in MT including skiing. Great backpack.

It's not only comfortable and practical but looks good. Using for school and travel and works well for both.

Great backpack so far. I love show many pockets and separate areas there are in the backpack. Makes for great organization for school and travel.

I was juggling a few different brands of backpacks to try as my Swiss gear bag finally wore out after about 16 years of use. I was already leaning towards NorthFace as I have a few of thier jackets and they have held up over a decade so far. I decided on the Recon backpack and right off the bat I can tell this bag will last me for many years to come. High quality zippers, well designed compartments, and holds my MacBook securely in the extra laptop section. This is by far my favorite product I have purchased from the North Face. What I love about them is their stuff just lasts. As the saying goes, you get what you pay for. Highly recommend!

I use this for school! It fits my laptop, binders, books, and more! My previous North Face lasted 4 years until I finally decided to upgrade to a bigger one!

Great backpack!!

Amazing! I've been using North Face backpacks since my sophomore year of high school and they continue to impress me with every backpack they release. This one is by far my favorite- no only because of its beautiful design and color, but also because of how much space there is inside! This backpack comes with an abundance of pockets- all of different size. I've been looking for a backpack that was visually appealing yet had a small pocket for pens, a large flat one for computers, and two medium compartments in between. This back is everything I've ever wanted! 12/10!

I use this backpack for college and it is the best! It's durable and it is waterproof I've never had anything inside get wet. I LOVE IT

Bought this for my daughter going to college next fall so she has a new one...although her existing TNF backpack is perfectly fine! She loves the rose gold hardware and all the features. She will only use TNF bags!

My teen son loves this backpack b/c it's lightweight yet sturdy. I love that it has numerous bells and whistles such as outside pockets, padding for laptop/ iPad, and the chest trap!

This backpack is perfect for everyday use and short trips. I use it everyday to and from work and all outings with my family.

I would highly recommend this to anyone, great quality.

Even room for a hammock.

Perfect laptop pocket, can fit my lecture books (2-3 big) in the main and the straps are extremely comfortable. Best everyday/school pack!

Good color for my father!

I bought this for my dad as a travel backpack and it's been wonderful and super useful.

For school

The Recon backpack is great for most applications, it is not small but if a large bag is needed look for alternatives. Very durable.
