Used for light hiking. Doesn't hurt my back.

I use it daily to carry my laptop to work. I've also used it for hiking. Super comfy straps and holds a LOT. Love all the pockets and compartments.

So far the backpack has been great. Just what I was looking for. Big enough for what I need and not too big. It's a bit different than the Recon I bought my daughter 5 years ago before she started college. If it last as well as hers has, which she uses regularly and is still going strong, I'll be thrilled.

The looks, style a d just plain cool

I recently purchased this backpack for my dad to travel with. He loves the sturdy back support and all the pockets. He used it as his under the seat carryon. The separate compartment for a laptop allowed him to remove it quick and easy for TSA without accidentally dropping stuff that didn't need to be removed. Having the smaller pockets at the top of the bag made it easier to retrieve stuff during the flight. The front mesh pocket was perfect for his newspaper. His favorite detail of the backpack was probably the whistle that is part of the chest snaps. He would use it whenever he couldn't find my mom. He asked why I didn't buy him a NorthFace backpack sooner.

Great bag for all the essentials in a short business trip.

I got this for my husbands birthday and he is obsessed! It has everything! It has the laptop pocket, great size compartments, smaller pockets and holds 2 water bottles on the sides. It looks very high quality, it's light weight and very comfortable. It would work well for hiking too!

I've used this same type of backpack for 6 years and needed to get a new one. I got the darker gray color so it doesn't get as dirty quickly!

I use it for school, it's a little too small but overall i like it.

I use the backpack as an everyday tote to carry all my items that wouldn't otherwise fit in a purse.

These are the only back packs I use! They fit everything in an organized fashion and have 2 spots for water bottles, which is key as a student!

for traveling and groceries laundry to work and from work i like the TNF backpacks it's easy and everything fits in very perfectly yes i will buy again it's stylish

I use this backpack to lug around all my medical school supplies. I only buy North Face backpacks since they're so durable and stylish.

Great bag for work. I have to walk a ways to get to the office from where I park. I love all of the pockets. It was a little stiff at first but it is softening wuickly. I still highly recommend it! Such great quality and fancy for a backpack!

Tons of useful pockets and holds a ton of stuff

Had this backpack before a few years back and was stolen at the local ski area, so I ordered this model again. Same quality as the first, but camouflage design with ripstop material.

My last backpack from a different brand did not last long. This one is much nicer quality. My main use is for work. Only con is the base is made so it cannot stand up when placed on the ground. Would recommend.

Love this backpack. My son can actually fit everything he needs for school in it. Since he has to carry everything from classroom to classroom. I would love one myself for school but, I am a bright colored person and wish it had more fun colors and not neutral colors.

The book bag is great! It's spacious, compartments are very convenient and the size is great!

Love the backpack, it's very comfortable to wear. I feel like it could be a bit roomier, but it's still a great backpack.

I use this for school for and it is perfect. The bigger compartments are for my laptop, textbooks, and binders. And the small are for my smaller teams like keys.
