Like, but don't love it. This back pack is plenty tall for putting things on top of books, but it's not very deep and you can't fit as much in it as I hoped. Still, back is well padded with comfortable shoulder straps and its a fair price. Like the organizer section in the small! front pocket. School starts tomorrow so I'll keep it.

I carry this backpack for travel purpose and personal use. It is comfortable but it does not have a stable base.

This backpack is good. It has lots of nifty pockets and zippers and gets the job done when it comes to a school backpack. It had a good run when it was in use. The only issue, mind you, quite a big issue, is the stitching of the straps that attaches them to the body of the backpack. For some reason, after less than a year of use, one of the straps came clean off. It didn't tear (there is no visible damage to the strap or place where it was stitched onto the bag) or go through any distress, but it was as though the strap was not stitched onto the bag correctly, practically slipped off. I've tried to fix it myself but it cannot be done as it is a manufacturing issue a regular person cannot fix. Disappointed as this was my first (and likely last) purchase from TNF that I had to use my first earnings on.

I bought this backpack after reading amazing reviews by commuters. I thought it would be perfect for everyday commute to work. But a few weeks in and the straps seem ready to tear off. I don't carry anything too heavy, ( wallet, book, make up bag and occasionally my lunch). There is no reason for the straps to be ready to tear. I heard so many wonderful things about The Northface backpacks, but as of now I am really disappointed.

I really liked the streamlined look of this backpack, and was super excited for it to come in! It's so cheap, thought I, and so cute! I had previously enjoyed the Recon style before my dog got to it, and was very happy with The North Face's quality products. So when it arrived, I was naturally excited. But then I tried to fit my books in it. Not nearly enough room for a student. There is too much room at the top of the pack that seems wasted in my opinion. Then I set it on the ground. It rolled flat on its front. The curved bottom is not a good thing!! I got black so I could have lived with it getting dirty, but forget about any of the cuter lighter colors! Also, the organization is missing. I don't like that it is only has two pockets, and the smaller one is very very small :( As much as I really liked the look of it, I don't think this is a good fit for students with lots of books or anyone who likes the look of a clean backpack. Sorry, North Face- you didn't impress.

Bought this about a month ago for school. Basic needs: books and a lunch. Seems simple, right? Anyways, I quickly realized the design and layout of this bag are awkward. It doesn't stand upright at all because the bottom is slanted and slightly tapered, which also means it will only hold increasingly smaller books the more you put in. Also because the zipper ends so high up (above the water bottle pocket), it creates a bottle neck so once you have a textbook in already, good luck trying to squeeze larger items past it to utilize the tapered, bottom portion of the bag. Definitely wish I could return this and get something else.
