I use this bag for school and I have to carry lots of binder and a computer. It makes my load seem light and the backpack is very clean looking!

Purchased as a gift for my father. He loves the bag. He uses it daily for work and when traveling. Fits his computer and everything else he keeps with him!

I am notorious for carrying around way too much stuff, and this is the first backpack that allows me to do so without my back hurting! Its rigid back panel contours to my back and makes it feel like I'm not carrying anything. The stylish colors and large outer pocket are great features as well! By far the best backpack I have ever used; I am excited to bring it along on all my future adventures.

Love the cloud blue accent. Not an overpowering blue. It's perfect. Super roomy and comfortable.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter from her wish list of things for grad school. It looks like the perfect "everything" to haul everything she needs to become Physical Therapist. I can always count on The North Face durability factor and this doesn't disappoint. And it's cute. She'll love it.

My daughter uses this backpack for high school. When my middle school aged son needed a backpack as well, we bought the Recon in a different color. They both love the back pack.

Take it everywhere. I travel a lot and work 24 hour shifts. I need to carry everything with me.

This was an amazing purchase! Coming from cheaper backpacks that always wear down and have holes, this backpack is amazing! The flex vent helps me keep my back dry and it is so versatile and stylish. The last backpack you need for just daily use for school!

I got my first recon bag about 12 years ago. It lasted until now, and when I was at the North Face store I mentioned that it had some normal wear and tear, and she told me to consider sending it in to north face under the lifetime warranty. I brought it in and they took care of the rest. About a week later, the north face sent me a gift card (digital and physical copies) for the full retail value of a brand new recon bag, which I have just received. Love north face; love a company that builds products that last over a decade. I am a customer for life! 10/10 would recommend.

Great backpack. Bought one my first year of college - now in 4th year and am replacing with one just received. Practical, looks great, can carry all my college books and laptop with no problem.

I bought the backpack for my boyfriend as a Christmas present. He has had a North Face backpack to take to work for the past 10 or so years and it finally gave out. He is a chef and will often have knives and food in the backpack to go to catering jobs or to bring to work. I like that it has padding on the back because he will wear it on his motorcycle and the padding will add a little extra support for the items he carries.
