I ordered this backpack for college and whenever I got it delievered, I was so excited to get open it and put everything inside. It has so many pockets and room for my laptop, books, water bottles, and anything else I may need!

My daughter loves this backpack! There is a lot of room for books/stuff and the color is gorgeous. Very well cushioned straps and the back of the backpack. Nice job North Face!

I wanted something that would provide enough storage and space to place my things for classes. This is perfect!! It's very durable, even with textbooks and electronics being carried all over the place. I'm not having to choose what to put in there, because there is room for it all. Despite the weight of items in the bag, it's extremely comfortable to wear around campus while walking to classes. Makes life much easier for myself. Northface has done it again. I can see this bag lasting a long time. Definitely worth the investment!

best backpack ever i love them so much. there is nothing this backpack can't hold i mean this thing can hold up to fifty pounds and it is the best for school i used this for three years in middle school and i think that in can last at least seven more years and i recommend this back pack ten out of ten five stars

I'm a "theatre kid" and this backpack can hold all my school stuff (three binders, 2 textbooks, and lots of notebooks) plus my script and all the rehearsal essentials. I love this backpack!!!!

I had a North Face Backpack all throughout High School and I could honestly still be using it for College. Now you might be asking "well if you could still be using it why buy another one?" well curious reader, I thought it would be appropriate to get a more "usable" color. My old backpack is brown, pink and purple while my new sophisticated backpack is all black and I think its the best decision I've made all year. This backpack has TONS of space, more than I could ever imagine. It feels even more durable than my old one which is so nice. I would recommend this backpack for anyone, school related or not, it's worth the money.

I bought this backpack to carry my laptop and all other technology back and forth to work. Love the fact that it has 2 separate padded compartments for a laptop and tablet - great for an iPad and laptop! Both compartments have plenty of space for peripheral devices and chargers.The 2 side pockets are perfect for carrying enough water to get you through the day. The back area is great for tossing items that you need to secure and still easily reach with one arm - example - car keys! Incredibly comfortable when fully packed and the shoulder straps don't leave your fresh pressed button down full of creases! Seems like it would be perfect for a day hike in the mountains too . . . ah, one can dream! :)

I've used this pack for 14 years! It lasted all through college as well as many hiking and camping trips. It is also perfect for a short vacation to hold all my gear and keep it organized. I love the ergonomics and durability. I was heartbroken when some of the material inside the pack started to breakdown but the warrantee service was impeccable and I've received my new pack within days! I look forward to putting the new model through its paces! Thanks

I am a freshman in college and this backpack has everything I would need. The size is perfect to comfortably pack all my books as well as my computer to carry class to class. I highly recommend this purchase!

This new replacement from the prior Recon back pack feels lighter, with seemingly better materials which repel water well. I enjoy a better internal pocket arrangement which permits easy recovery of storage items. Also, the external outer flap pocket is better designed to store wet beach items or training gear. I examined current backpack stitching closer and found it to be excellently done, designed for exact stress points of the backpack to perform well.

I love having this bag, I am planning on using it as a carry on for my trip to Australia. I am excited because it has so much room for all that I need to bring with me.

Since my daughter has a lot of books/supplies to carry around, she was pleased with it's size and durability.

I got the recon in gray and pink a few weeks ago and I already love it. It has so many pockets that work well for fitting my sunglasses my phone and my surface. I would not have wanted another brand. Fits everything well with great support

This wonderful backpack is set up to be a multi-purpose bag. From camping to the classroom, it has all the features my child will need to be successful.

After almost 40 years of service I sent in my oval intention tent to see if it could be revived. Alas, it had seen its last journey. Since I had purchased the tent at an outlet store, North Face backed their product by providing me with a gift card for half the original purchase price. My wife and I both purchased the recon backpacks and both of us have been exceptionally pleased with their fit, performance and versatility. Even better, we know that North Face will stand by their product for decades to come.

Great backpack for all my school supplies in college.

I bought this as a gift for my daughter-in-law's 25th birthday and she loved it. She is a teacher and plans to use it during the school year to carry her supplies. This summer she is going to Mexico and plans to use it as her carry-on bag. Great storage pockets for both uses!

This backpack is hands down the best purchase to date. Extremely durable, great looking and perfect for a college student or a hand core traveler.

I had last year's version of this backpack and I couldn't resist buying this year's! I love the new colors/design and it holds more than it did before. I use it for college and it's great for walking to class: doesn't feel like I'm trucking across campus with 10,000 pounds on my back even though it's holding a majority of my stuff.

Love the new design. Picked the red and I'm very happy with the color. This will be perfect for carrying a laptop and charging cord along with books and notebooks around campus. The fleece pockets are great as well.
