Purchsed for my granddaughter and he was trilled.....She loves her new backpack

This backpack holds all my college books and binders along with my laptop! It is holding up and will last a long time. All of the pockets are every convenient.

I've only recently received my backpack, so I haven't had a chance to use it extensively. The few times I have used it have been wonderful! The pack itself is light, but sturdy; it does a fantastic job of distributing the weight evenly. My laptop fits in the compartment for it, and there are enough pockets in the front compartment to organize all my other items. The main body compartment is definitely big enough for a few changes of clothing (even shoes!), so this is a perfect solution for me for weekends away from home, or just hitting the gym after work. I was concerned that the pockets for water bottles wouldn't hold mine as it is a larger one. Not even an issue! The elastic at the pocket opening easily accommodates it. Overall, this is a wonderful backpack and I would definitely buy it again! (I don't think I will need to for some years though as this is very well constructed.)

I've been looking for a bag that can carry all my books with ease. I used a Dakine for years and always ended up carrying at least 2-3 books in my hand. This bag can hold 3 full text books with ease. Plus room for your water bottle.

This bookbag is amazing. I got it for college and have been quite satisfied with it. Holds my laptop great in its back separate pocket. Also has plenty of room!

This backpack has a lot of room for books, computer and all my school supplies. Plus, I can throw in my workout clothes. Really nice!

They have thought of everything when constructing this bag. It is very sturdy and holds everything. My daughter is very rough on backpacks and these you can't wear out!

I am absolutely in love with this backpack! I will be starting college in the fall and will be using it then as well as on any trips i may go on!! The material is durable and there are enough pockets to hold all of my specific needs! I bought it in the vaporous grey/ impact orange combo, and though it's white it doesn't seem to get very dirty! I do however feel indifferent about the rigid cardboard backing, but I'm hoping with more weight in the backpack I will be thankful for it! Overall a great product!!!

The laptop compartment is awesome, it holds and cushions my computer so securely I'm never worried about anything happening to it. It's also the most comfortable backpack I've ever worn, I never have any back pain or extra stress on my shoulders when wearing it. I would definitely give the women's surge backpack 5/5 stars and recommend it to all of my friends!

This bag is nicely built. I really like that it has a computer slot enough though it's a little snug for my computer.

If there is any complaint it should be because of its weight. There are more pockets that are fleece lined to keep things scratch free.

Can't wait to carry to school with all my supplies

I am starting nursing school in the fall 2015, and need a durable, trustworthy bag to commute my computer back and forth to school. This bag is not only very sleek and attractive to the eye; it is extremely functional and has a secure pocket for my 13" macbook. i feel confident it is secure and safe in this bag. The pockets are just the right size for all of my books and other necessities. Thanks North Face for making yet another quality product.

We are sending our daughter off to college and we looked at a lot of different backpacks. This one has it all! Great color and big enough to hold a 17" laptop along with textbooks. The design ensures her computer will have protection. This pack is made well and I'm sure she'll carry it beyond her years in college!

I use this pack for computer equipment. I like to carry parts and extra cables for on site computer repairs. This back was just what I was looking for to do that.

We bought this book bag for my son who is beginning his senior year in high school. He wanted one that was stylish & slimmer & a "little more young adult looking" than his Land's End that he's carried for the last 3 years. I was a little skeptical when ordering it but once we received it, it was way beyond my expectations! It is light weight, great looking & will be a good book bag for him to start college with as well!

I just recently switched from Patagonia to North Face packs and I'm so glad I made the switch. The quality of North Face products far exceeds those of Patagonia ... from the microfleece pockets that protect sunglasses and technology to the durable outer material. I also appreciate that this pack is designed specifically for women. I can fill my pack with my MacBook Pro (great clam opening in the back), several books, a notebook, a fleece jacket, water bottle, etc. and the pack still feels comfortable and easy to wear for hours. I've already used this pack for a couple hikes, daily commutes to work, and as a carry-on for weekend trips. I imagine this pack will be with me for many years to come.

I've had this pack for a few weeks now and it's great! It has taken some time to break in and really feel comfortable but it was worth it. It holds a ton of stuff while still looking slim on my back. I love the soft pockets for extra protection for my laptop and tablet and the large side pockets that easily fit my 1L water bottle. There really is a pocket for everything!
