They're.....okay. Not like Rockports used to be - they feel a little more like plastic and less like leather than when I first started wearing Rockports. Still pretty good, just noticeably cheapened. Unfortunately, that seems to be pretty common anymore - the pressure to keep the price down results in a lesser product. It's been a slow, gradual progression. Overall, they fit fine, feel fine, and look good. Have been wearing them on and off for a month or two, and they're starting to show a little wear. About what I expected. One thing I really like about Rockports is that they're comfortable for walking, not stiff like some dress shoes. Not quite as dressy, but the comfort is a good tradeoff.

These are great shoes - especially for trudging around Manhattan in the rain. The only design flaw is that there is a leather strap glued onto the back of the otherwise all-rubber heel (and sole). This got wet and began to stretch/fray on both shoes looking decidedly unprofessional and shoddy. Since the leather is just for aesthetics, and now blemishes an otherwise perfect shoe, it is a bit of a fail.

They were clearly used and had been worn outside but I didn’t have time to return and exchange. The color and material look cheap in person but some boot guard followed by brown polish do the trick.

These are great looking shoes, and didn't take long to break in. My problem is that after wearing them several months, the little leather strips that line the outside of the heel (to give the impression that it's a layered leather heel, which it isn't) started peeling off. This is an area that gets no wear, so all I can think is that getting the strips wet in the rain caused them to swell and pop out. Otherwise I'm happy with them, but this very visible flaw will make me consider alternatives before reordering them.

run larger than stated size, needed more arch support.

I have now returned this shoe twice. My previous Rockports were 9.5 M, so that is what I ordered. First purchase was so narrow I couldn't hardly get my foot into it. Second purchase was great on width but 9.5 was to long. I am waiting on third order, If this doesn't fit, I am done.

I loved these shoes so much. They were stylish, they were reasonably priced, and they were super comfortable for the long hours I spend on my feet. Finding a shoe that hits all these marks, and also comes in a wide width is incredibly difficult. So despite buying these on 3 separate occasions, they have all suffered the same fate: Whatever they use around the heel peels off every single time after about 6-12 months of wear. I purchased the wing tip as well as the cap toe versions at the same time, and would wear one pair then the other so they were not each being worn every single day. Those lasted almost a year before the heel started peeling. In attempt to try one more time, I bought my third pair, and only wore those everyday for about 6 months before the heel started to peel. I would buy this shoe again in a heartbeat if Rockport fixed this issue. Until then, the search continues.

The shoes look good, and were comfortable for the few minutes I walked around my house. However, the material that the upper is made out of is very thin and very stiff so it digs in around your ankles. I'm not sure if it was just the pair that I got, but the shoelaces that came with them were about a foot too short. After I had the shoe on and the laces tightened up, there were only about three inches of lace left on each side for me to attempt to tie. I ended up returning them

The shoe is extremely comfortable for all day wear. However, the shoe heel seems to come undone after a few months (another reviewer has a picture that you could see it). I too could not fix it. I will buy another Rockport pair but not this one.

The fit was in no way accurate. At least a size small. Ordered 2 pairs from Rockport and one was great and fit perfectly.

The colors do not match the photo, as the toe cap is a darker shade than the rest of the shoe; it fades from the tip back toward the stitching and perforations. The size (10W) is also significantly larger than my previous 10W Dressports.

Comfortable, decent looking shoe for the price.

These shoes do look great, but walking in Chicago vs Dallas makes a huge difference. The shoe sole wore down quite a bit even after the first few days.

I returned them. I like Rockports--they have been comfortable and durable in my experience, and available in widths. What the product pictures don't make very clear is that the Rockport logo is etched into the tip of the shoe's tongue. I don't expect people to read my shoes, but I wasn't interested in having my dress shoes serve as an advertisement in this way. OK for an athletic shoe. Not ok for a wing tip.

Well, I decided to keep these because I needed shoes for work purposes. The rear of the shoe is always rubbing against the ankle of the heel which may cause a blister. The side of the shoe is too narrow, meaning my feet look bulging and extruding outward. The beak is nice and roomy. Keeps my foot aligned with a normal composure or attire. That's the only good thing I can admit about Rockport....and as always so far so good...

I've had two pair of Rockports for over ten years, and I've loved them. That's why is was an easy choice to order a new pair. There is a clear distinction between the quality of the leather from 10 years ago. Today's version is much lower quality, stiffer leather. And a nice leather lining from before has been replaced by mostly poor quality synthetic materials. Too bad.

I purchased these shoes almost 3 months ago with the intention of wearing them to work (typical office job). The fit is good and they're relatively comfortable, i'm not sure about the inner sole that comes with the shoes, I think a standard leather inner sole would be better. The problems for me came with the quality of the shoe. I know that at $90 I shouldn't be expecting the best but the quality was better in the $75 shoes that these replaced. To be specific, there are rough cut edges on the leather, I've already had to replace the shoe laces since they broke, the sole of the shoe has already begun to slowly disintegrate, and worst of all, they squeak. I drive a manual transmission car and every time I change gears the shoe squeaks, they squeak at the grocery store and any hard polished surface.

Hard as a rock around the ankle. Hurts.

They are stiff. They are uncomfortable and they don’t break in at all. Walking in them is a chore. I would not buy these again

Overly priced for a "Dress Shoe" with a synthetic rubber sole and heal!

Do NOT confuse these shoes with the Rockport City Smart Wing Tip Oxford shoes. These are different and are NOT comfortable like the City Smart ones even though they look the same. I made a mistake buying these shoes. So returned them and thankfully they still have the one we had purchased before. I should have looked back on my account instead of assuming these were the ones.
