The fit and function of the 813 is the best of the 800 series to date. The finish of the black retains a low sheen but the brown is dead flat unlike the old 812 brown which had a shine to it and looked much nicer.

Gives excellent support and is easier to put on. Makes walking better!

My husband swears by this shoe. He has worn this style of shoe for a number of years. He loves them. They feel great, look great and hold up well. He wears this shoe daily. It is not a running shoe but for everyday walking.

Very comfortable and durable overall a good product

This is a fabulous shoe for a geezer and anybody else, but especially someone with problem feet. Like walking on air.

I bought these because I have other New Balance shoes. I had a stroke and need the loop & hock because I lost the use of my right hand. And they stabilize my feet when I walk! A really good shoe!

they fit well and are very comfortable and assist me with my balance, I am a stroke survivor!

This shoe was very comfortable and fit just right. There was no break in period, it felt like I had been wearing it forever. It has a nice feel to the leather and is just the right weight, not to heavy and not to light.

This is my first pair of 813's. I wear these shoes only during my daily 2.5 mile walk. Because I am prone to getting shin splints, l wear Dr. Scholl's active inserts in these shoes instead of the inserts provided with the shoes. This issue is due to my body, not a drawback of the shoes. These shoes provide good support and are very comfortable. I am impressed that I was able order these shoes on line and receive size 13 4E's that fit 1st time. I like them.

I am very pleased withe the New Balance 813s. They are comforably fitting, and good quality for a good price. The only minor issue is that because they use velcro straps instead of laces, the tonge of the shoe has a tendency to push down into the shoe over time, making it a bit uncomfortable. There could have been a simple fix to this problem by adding a small strip of velcro to the top of the tonge, thereby holding it in place with the same velcro strap.

I wear the NB shoes because I have to wear ankle and foot orthotics on both legs and the easy fastening of this model make them my only footwear.

The 813 shoes have great support and I use a 4E width. The width identified in your app were x and xx wide with no cross-reference so I ordered xx. That ended up being 6E. I missed a extra discount and am waiting for money back.

I wear everyday my problem is they're too narrow my fault not New Balances fault

Been wearing new balance almost exclusively since the late 70s. Great shoes! Wear size 10 6e width so my selection is usually maybe 8 pairs and very limited color options. Have been recommending new balance to friends and family and anyone else I ran across. Durability of stitching is a problem for me and all I do is walk in them. Have tried dozens of different styles through the years,sometimes sacrificing width for style. Thank you for your wonderful shoes.

I kept this although after a week the shoe gotten loose a bit. But great shoe nice feel all day in the shoe with no pain. Usually I buy running shoe for work but it is good to buy walking shoe if you work on your feet all day. Big difference for sure
