Purchased these for my husband. He's a contractor and woodworker, and he's often on his feel 8-10 hours/day but he needs something that doesn't look like a plain old sneaker. He LOVES these, and he's super picky.

Most comfortable shoe I've ever worn. I have two pairs and looking for a third, against the day they stop making them.

Out of many Ecco purchases over the years, these are the first pair that required a break-in period. They were comfortable out of the box, but slightly stiff and clunky. However, after about a month of on and off wear, and a few short hikes, they are supple yet protective. They're definitely my go-to shoes right now.

My husband loves Ecco and found these to be a perfect fit and loved the look. Great for work, he's an Architect, and walking a job site without being just a tennis shoe.

Great shoe. Only thing I wish I'd known was that the toe box is short. So, there isn't much room top to bottom in the forefoot area. Other than that, shoe fits well. Easy break-in. Very comfy. Genuine Yak leather. Highly recommend.

I got these as a gift for someone. He already had the shoes in another color and wanted a second pair. He loves these Eccos because they have pretty good arch support and he can walk or stand in them for long periods of time without his feet hurting. He also likes that they are sporty but with a streamlined, clean look which makes them functional with jeans, khakis and cords. They are good for a dressy casual look when he does not want to wear traditional multicolored sneakers.

These are very comfortable, provide excellent support and look good with casual attire. The laces also stay tied, which is a nice feature that is missing on many brands.

These provide amazing comfort! I wear carbon fiber leg braces and these are the most comfortable shoes that I own.

These shoes fit and look exactly as I expected. They are good with jeans or khakis - as I wanted something a little nicer than sneakers, but comfortable when walking a lot / touring a city. My wife likes the way they look (cool enough for a 43 year old dad). The sole is almost like a hiking shoe/boot (stiff and rugged) with lots of cushion in the heel. These are good weekend shoes.

I have worn these all of one day and I love them already. Even when I tried them on in the store, I could tell after the first few steps that I was going to suck it up and pay this price because they felt so good. One thing I like about them is the soles and leather have an ideal combination of flex and rigidity. Too much flex and a shoe feels like you are wearing slippers or espadrilles. Too much rigidity and it feels like you are wearing hiking boots. Ecco got this equation just right. Styling is spot-on, at least for the black version. There are no bright accents like the Gen 1 version of these shoes, subtle as they may have been. They are also versatile enough to wear with jeans and a polo shirt or dressed up a little more. For those with narrower feet like myself, there is noticeably more room in the forefoot than other shoes, but for me this is not a big deal. I just wanted to put it out there so those interested know ahead of time. Length is spot-on with my foot size, meaning my 10½ feet went perfectly into a European size 44.

When I first put these on you would have thought they where custom made for my feet. So comfortable, I felt like I could walk for miles in comfort. I a smaller right foot, pronate & plantar fasciitis; no problem with these shoes!

On the plus side this shoe has the width in the toe box I look for and more arch support than most and a nice stylish appearance. On the minus side, the shoe is somewhat stiff and the top-to-bottom height of the toe box is a little bit too low for my foot. Will try the next size up to see if that little bit of extra space does the trick.

Bought this shoe both for my mother (who absolute loves it, and she's difficult to find shoes for), and for myself. I find it a little tight for the size I bought (47), so I have to tie the laces pretty loosely to make sure it doesn't fit too tight. Definitely not the most fashionable shoe in the world, but that's not why I bought it. I bought it for comfort, and that's definitely where it shines!

I just returned from a two week trip to Italy where I wore them every day. I walked quite a bit with bad boys, so here's my thoughts. For walking in places like train stations or museums they are great. Anywhere with smooth even floors, they are very comfortable light and cushiony. They were nice on the long flights and trips in airports and after wearing them for hours on end they stayed nice and dry. BUT, on cobblestone roads and sidewalks they were not so great. This, sadly, made up the bulk of my walking. My feet ached each time I took them off after walking up and down Italy's many cobblestone and uneven roads and/or ruins. My trip to the ruins of Pompeii was not their best moment. So buy according to what you plan to wear them form

Initial shoe ordered was my size but too small. Exchanged shoe for one size larger but the fit was totally different and very uncomfortable. Need to move on to a different style.

Good support, fits well, toe box not roomy, sole somewhat inflexible (slight slap on tile when walking)-probably lack of a rocker design, brown color darker than illustrated.

The search to replace my Ecco Biom Lite's continues… These are just too thick and too stiff to be comfortable. I wish Ecco would make the Lite's for men again.

Ecco is not what they were 20 years ago when they were made in Denmark. Since they started to raise the prices and manufacture in China they are just another stiff feeling shoe and not form fitting. terrible.

Let me qualify my statements by stating I've purchased about a dozen pair of Ecco's over the last 15 years. This is the first pair ordered in a size 45 medium width that felt really snug. Also, the arch support was really high, too high for me. I ordered another pair along with these which fit just fine, as expected. I like the look of this shoe and really wanted to make it work but felt it needed to stretch too much to fit correctly. Also, the sole seemed really stiff and slapped our tile floor as I walked. That's not a good thing. I'll try to find something else similar in style and hope for a better fit.
