Lasted 8 years!! Brilliant boots. Worn all winter and for hikes all year round.. comfortable from day 1.. only just started to leak along the outside where the main crease happens where the sole adhesive has started to fail exposing the lining.. replacements ordered and expect to get the same wear out of them

Delighted with this purchase. The boots were exactly my usual size, immediately comfortable to wear (i.e no breaking in period) and can be used as foul weather daywear or as a mid-weight trekking/hiking boot. They also look handsome which is always an added bonus. The sole is as firm and twist-free as a vibram sole but with the added bonus of a perfectly designed Eva midsole for a softer comfort feel inside, making all-day wearing a joy. I wore them in the torrential rain of this year's February storms and the waterproofing was faultless. Highly recommended.

Fantastic service and lovely boots very comfortable

This is the second pair of these boots I've bought. Hard wearing and comfortable, Ariat products are not cheap but they are worth every penny!

I've worn this particular hiking shoe style for 20 years. Sad that they are no longer in production.

Just received yesterday in the mail and took them out for a quick break-in around the neighborhood. I don't know why because they're ready for Yosemite Falls right out of the box!! Incredible fit, comfort, and stability. I can't wait to take them out on the trail!!

I needed a pair of reliable work boots for my golf course maintenance job. I tried on the Ariats and the fit and feel were spot on; soft inside, yet supportive in design. I examined over the boots and could see the built-in quality compared to other boots. It is a superior product, hands down.

I put these boots to the test with a week-long adventure in the Eastern Sierras. From extreme heat to extreme cold, these boots kept my feet comfortable and dry. I trekked through broken branches, dirt, foliage, gravel, ice, rocks, sand, snow, and water. The boots were scratched, scuffed, and submerged in water on a number of occasions. Through all that, they held on strong and helped make for some great hiking experiences. The traction of the soles is perfect, and I walked through 10+ feet of snow with great confidence. The boots offer great support and don't cause any lace bite. They are lightweight enough to make jumping from rock to rock a fun activity when I feel adventurous. Trail running is hassle-free thanks to the flexibility of the boots. Western boots, work boots, and outdoor boots. Ariat does it all with perfection.

I've been wearing these for over a year, everyday almost. I bought them because I'm on my feet all day. I was having lower back pain, knee pain, and just fatigue in general. I work more then I should. I decided my shoes were largely to blame because they didn't fit just right and they were worn out. I shopped around and tried on many shoes. Ultimately I decided on this boot although I wasn't 100% fond of the styling, it just fit right and felt good. Over a year later, to heck and back, I never questioned the decision to buy them. One of the best purchases I ever made, well worth the price and will happily buy them again and again! Make sure you get the right fit and I promise you will not regret it.

I have two pairs of Ariat work boots that I wear daily and they fit better than any boot I have ever owned. So, this summer I am going hiking in the high Sierras and need good hiking boots and went to a number of stores. Nothing compared to my Ariat work boots. I would wear my work boots except that work boot soles are not intended for gripping on steep trails. I then looked on the Ariat site and found what seems to be a new model not available in stores. On reputation I ordered a pair and they fit even better than the work boots if that is possible. They also have a slight walking shape on the sole that give a little forward propulsion. The non-skid soles work great, the workmanship is superior, they are fully waterproof, have rugged lace loops and hooks that look like they are forged instead of sheet metal. I have been wearing them for over week now and no hot spots - nothing but super fit. I am a 10D with a high arch/instep and in the past have used Ecco Trek II boots but in my opinion they do not compare to the Mid GTX boots in fit or workmanship. Nick

I've now had two pairs of these, very comfortable but they are in no way waterproof. The first pair I returned when I had wet feet even walking in dewy grass. The replacement were exactly the same. I liked the boots so much I decided to use Meindal sport wax on them. It obviously changed the colour but the result is dry feet.

I really liked the look of these boots and was not disappointed. But I've been a 9 all my adult life and I can honestly say these are the smallest 9s I've ever worn. If you told me they were wrongly labelled I'd believe it! Unfortunately, I wore them straight away

Walking around in these feels extremely comfortable with all the sole padding. The only issue so far is rubbing on the side of my ankle.

I decided to renew my old trusted pair of Ariat with this one hoping for the same quality and comfort as my old pair. Boots were super comfortable and warm from the offset and felt very good on various grounds. I have had them for just over 18 months, washing and treating regularly and the waterproofing is non existent! My feet get completely soaked just walking on wet grass after a bit of rain. Leather has cracked in place and I can only wear them on dry days. I have given 2 stars for comfort but I am extremely disappointed with the quality of the leather and lack of waterproofing for this price. It's back to square one in finding a brand which makes good quality walking and waterproof boots!

Ive had these a couple of weeks now, have cleaned them and dubbin protected them, walking through damp grassy fields with the doggies I end up with wet feet, They're definitely not waterproof. Shame as they look great and are very comfy but only bought them because they are supposed to be waterproof.

I bought these for my husband on the back of my own arias boots being so good. However first wear in slushy conditions ( not even rain or sodden) and his toes were wet on return from dog walk

Lovely comfortable and warm boots and great fit, but one of the boots has already started to come apart, looks like quality of the gluing up was not good at all - meaning my left foot gets wet on the first sign of damp grass. My wife has used Ariat gear for horse riding for as long as we can remember, so we're pretty suprised by the lack of durability. These have lasted just over a year, I haven't binned them yet as I can still use them in dry conditions, but I bought these specifically for walking in the wetter weather.

my worst purchase ever,way too narrow shoes and unwearable,even at 2 sizes bigger than normal. after several mails,still no answer received,so service is also a big zero,also no proposal received

I'm on my second pair of these boots and neither have lasted six months (I am being generous) before they started leaking. Only used for dog walks during the summer months - not even every day - so not heavy usage. Given the cost of these and my expectations for an Ariat product I'm very disappointed.
