This might be one of the best feeling boots I’ve ever put on. I’ve owned Asolo’s, Kenetreks, and several other premium brands. These have been the best so far! Awesome boots Lowa!

I bought these boots primarily for elk hunting in Colorado. My hunts typically involve 10~15 miles of hiking in a day both on and off trails through some pretty steep and rugged terrain with a 25 lb pack. I knew I needed some serious boots but these far exceeded my expectations. They've got great arch support, great stability on uneven terrain, had great traction, and did well in 6 inches of snow. I haven't packed out meat wearing these yet but have not doubt they'll perform great. I put 10 miles on the first day and didn't have any hot spots. I was a little worried about the level of insulation but paired up with a good wool sock they did great hiking in the teens and 20s. I think they'll do fine in the 50s and 60s paired up with thin socks but have yet to test. tl;dr - Worth the price, would recommend to a friend.

Expensive boot so it needs to be great. It's well made, crafted with a high standards. Howevver it has uncomfortable pressure points. This boot sells for $400. Why is there not an option for a wider fit? I have ordered probably a dozen boots on Zappos the last couple of months and they're all too narrow and I don't even have a wide foot! Figure it out Zappos! Cabelas has a similar German made boot with a wider fit, comfortable and they cost less too.

Did a lot of research before I bought these and was not disappointed. Bought a pair of Zamberlands a few years ago and there was zero break-in. These were very close behind. Wore them for a day and they were good to go. I’ve bought a couple pair of Lowa boots for my daughter who does a lot of field work - including Alaska - as a field biologist. Lowa are awesome!
