Perfect fit!

This parka is super warm! It has a nice twill tape that runs the length of the snaps, inside the flap, good for wear on the snaps. I am 5'4" 155lb, sadly it is just too long for me, the waist is at the top of my hips and the length is below my knee. This is in a size large, if I was thinner and could wear a small size, maybe it wouldn't be so long. If you are 5'6" and up, it would probably be perfect. Must return and hoping a shorter style parka will work for me.

I love this coat. Warm. True to size. Perfect length. And the color is nice. I needed a longer coat to wear to the barn. My regular coat is light grey so that doesn't work around horses. This one stays looking cleaner.

Love this coat! As soon as I put it on I felt wrapped in warmth and coziness. It's longer than I expected, at the knee on me (5'5 medium), so it's extra cozy. Haven't had very cold weather yet, so can't attest to that. The blue heather has almost a denim-like feel to it. A nice change from all the black North Faces you see. Definitely recommend. Zippered pockets are nice. Not too bulky. Hoping it keeps me warm in Chicago winters!

This coat is a wonderful deep rich red color and very true to size. It is also lightweight and attractive on. I recommend it.

The coat is perfect! I am 5'6'', 130 pounds, and the medium fit beautifully. The service at Zappos was quick and easy! I will definitely order from Zappos again.

This fabric is stiff and noisy. Can't gamble on that going away

Great Coat just not a good fit on me. Plus the blue fabric was funky looked like denim. Not the look I was looking for .

This coat is much lighter (in weight) than expected! I haven't worn it out in New England bitter temps yet, so it may be very warm, I'll find out this week. For my build (5'3", petite, athletic/slim build, wide shoulders) this fits true to size, even with a heavy sweater or a few light layers, and the length is great. I wish the hood was a little deeper - that is the biggest failing I found with it.

This coat is a MUST for the Northeast winters! I live in New York State and this coat has helped me battle Jack Frost, Old Man winter, and look stylish while doing so! The coat is very warm and has a nice fitted waist. I am 5'4" and weigh 128 pounds, I ordered a size small. I have enough room to bundle up in this jacket if needed and the color looks sharp with a variety of scarves and mittens! I highly recommend NorthFace products if you live in a cold climate! (It has been in the teens and lower 20s here for 2 weeks!!)

I was looking for a longer winter coat that would keep me extra warm. The metropolis parka won the contest. The length is nice for keeping my upper legs warm (5'7", 125 lbs, size small fits nicely and hits just a few inches above the tops of my knees). It's amazing how just that bit of extra coverage helps to keep the whole body warm. Overall I give this coat 4 stars. It is warm, but with only 550 fill, additional layers are required at lower temps. I tried it out in a very dry 20 degrees with a silk base layer under a sweater and still wished I'd worn an extra wool base layer. Fortunately the coat is roomy enough to accommodate extra layers. The hood isn't big enough to be very useful, but at least it's removable. The sleeves could use some elastic or something at the ends to prevent drafts, but gloves help. On the whole I don't mind. The price is hefty. I got mine on sale on Zappos for $150. That felt about right for this coat. This coat wasn't a dream come true for me, but it's a nice coat that works well with other layers to get the job done.

Very warm and comfortable, but be warned that little feathers are constantly escaping through every seam throughout the coat. Other than that, I'm happy with it.

Sleeves are surprisingly long and coat is snug!. Disappointed.

The jacket seemed like it would be warm but I didn't test it out because I am returning it. The jacket was too constricting in the hips in a size small which I have always worn in North Face and I didn't care for the styling enough to order a bigger size.

I struggled to get the zipper to open so I could try this jacket on. I finally stepped into the jacket to try it on, and did eventually get the zipper open. Well made and nice looking, but I liked the North Face Far Northern style better and will keep that one.

Looking forward to this jacket - unfortunately Zappos sent the wrong one :(. I received a less expensive Northface Gotham parka instead. Zappos is assisting in processing the return and replacement, but I'm very disappointed I won't have a jacket to travel with over the holiday.

I found that quality of the Metropolis parka from The North Face is not the same as it used to be. I own the same style of The North Face parka from several years ago. I could compare side by side. A Metropolis parka, I’ve just received, is noticeably thinner! Buttons are small and cheap looking. No warm fleece cuffs lining! This is the future I like on my old Metropolis parka. Sleeves are wide at the cuffs, so wind will go up the sleeves easily. I was really disappointed. The quality of the North Face Metropolis parka noticeably went down, but the price is still the same. I’m returning it.

I am returning this coat,way to wimpy for a new England winter. It's no better than the $70 coat I got at old navy. And the hood is too short. Very disappointed
