The cooooolest cowboy boots and the first pair I’ve ever found that are just right for me. I DID have a slight fit issue, but it’s solvable. The front part is a bit too snug/narrow on me, while the back is rather wide, so that when I first put them on my heel kept rising up enough that I thought I’d have to return them. But I looked this issue up on the internet and learned that the soles of some boots are very stiff and when they loosen up and become more flexible, your heel will stay in place. This turns out to be true. If I decide I’ll usually wear them with socks, I’ll have the front part stretched. But I’ll probably decide instead to put in the little cushions pieces I found at the drugstore that are designed to wrap around inside the sides and back of the heel area, and the front will adjust enough with use. As for why these boots suit me, apparently in relation to the size of my foot, the upper part of my arch is so high that whenever I tried to try on cowboy boots in my size, I couldn’t even get my foot in. I have to give these a real pull using the leather loops, but my feet go in fine and come out again. Also, my calves are fairly slim, and most boot shafts are wider than I’d like. These have a small amount of room around my calf but are slim enough to give my leg a nice long line. The decoration is absolutely beautiful and the fact that they’re black means they work with a wider range of clothing styles, colors and social situation. p.s. I had to rate these as true to width, because either of the other options would have been inaccurate, but as explained above, on me they were a little narrow in front and wider in back.

I really liked the style of these boots, but unfortunately they were too tight on my somewhat-muscular calves. I've tried several pairs now and haven't had a problem with other styles. If you have small calves and want a sleek, form-fitting, flattering black cowboy boot for a reasonable price, definitely check these out.

Very surprised how much I liked these boots, considering the reasonable price. I returned the Old Gringo boots I had purchased from a different store (they fit identically) and liked these even better. The description says the circumference is 20 inches, but that's obviously a typo. My calves are 14" in circumference and these fit perfectly (just barely enough room to tuck in a pair of skinny jeans). Fitted in the ankle area so they look feminine. Definitely will be my go-to footwear for fall.

These were made for narrow feet and calves! I have VERY narrow "chicken legs" and this fit like a dream! Highly suggested for narrow leg, just know that they'll take a bit to break in, and are EXTREMELY tight around the ankle when pulling them on and for the first good while.

These boots were just what I was looking for - a tall, black, shaped cowboy boot. I like that it tapers in slightly at the ankles. The 9.5 I ordered (my usual size) just fit with thin socks, but were snug. The leather may have stretched, but as I plan to wear them with winter socks, I returned for a half size larger. They were really comfortable straight away and the pattern and leather were beautiful. The shaft was also snug at the widest part of my calf, but I was looking for a more fitted boot, so that is fine with me. I could still tuck jeans inside. I’m looking forward to many years of wear, once I get my upsized pair!

you warned me that these boots were a bit tighter and narrower than most, and you were right. They are great when you get them on, but for a medium width, they are tighter than my other boots. I am not sending them back, I think they will stretch a bit, and they are comfy once you get them on, but don't plan on heavy socks.

Great Boots! . I would have loved to keep them, but my high arch prevented my even getting them on. The quality look nice and the style was just what I wanted. I actually tried several different times to slip into them only to realize these boots are meant for someone besides me.

Great for if you have skinny calves! I struggle on many cowboy boot brands with floppy shafts that look dumb due to having skinny/unshapely calves. these fit like a dream and cover that part of my leg right up! :) Definitely a great value too- the leather is nice inside and out and leather soles too which are uncommon at this price point. I'm in between a 7.5 and 8 (most often 8) in regular shoes, a 7 to 7.5 in other cowboy boots, and got these in a 7.5 and they are perfect- hard to get in for first couple of months and definitely need a hand or a boot jack to get off but worth it for the sleek look and slim fit around the ankle. Was ready to pay 2-2.5X this for a pair of classic black boots and turns out these ones fit the best! FWIW, Lucchese ($$$) and these seem to be good for slim calves - Corral is one to def avoid.

I love these boots! They are a slimmer fit around the shaft, so it makes a nice, long silhouette when exposed, or can be easily worn under your jean legs, too. They also look great with skirts and dresses. Very comfortable right out of the box. And the stitching is decorative without over-the-top flourishes.

THE BEST! If they would have them in white I would buy them right away. So so extremely comfortable and amazing quality. For an epic price.

Very cute comfy and good quality leather. Absolutely happy with my purchase... these were my first ever cowgirl boots.... don’t get discouraged if u think your arch is too high just got them on and they will stretch pretty well and fast .

The boot are so cute fit to size just want to tell ppl who got discouraged that can’t get into the boots because of high arch try to get in first time or put some packed paper into it the leather is so nice and stretchy it will stretch pretty easily for your arch after couple wearings.

I thought I would have to buy Lucchese boots to get a good quality, good looking and comfortable boot but I found these old west boots and they looked just as good as the Lucchese so I thought I would give them a try. I was very pleased with the boot so I kept them.

These are not only really cool boots, but they are the first comfortable pair of cowboy boots I've ever had! Nice soft leather, can walk in them all day without them hurting. Painted maroon leather paint inside detailing to add a little color. Very unusual to get shoes that fit so well online. Very happy with my purchase.

Beautiful boot, but unfortunately way too narrow! Sadly, I'm sending them back. Awesome delivery by Zappos though! Literally overnight!

The boot itself fit nicely however the shaft / calf area is very wide. If you have a thicker calf then this could be the boot for you.

These boots are gorgeous! Unfortunately returning because they are super uncomfortable. There is hardly any fabric or padding inside, so you really feel each stitch and seam rubbing against your skin.

Old West boots recommend sizing up one half size larger, however I sized down one half size and fit very well. I purchased them because others said the calf size was smaller and fit my calves well. They would have been perfect but the medallion had a cut or burn mark on top and I have to return yet another pair of boots to Zappos. Must say boots were very well wrapped and not previously worn, I think, not like the other four pair of boots that I had to return. Ordered two sizes, and very disappointed that I have to return another two pair! Not sure if I will order again.

I ordered one half size smaller than my usual size even though Old West recommends one half size larger. fit very well, however, there is a cut in the leather on medallion. Have to return.

Unfortunately, I had to return them. It was my own fault. The part of the foot area fit great. My only reason to return them was that they were too tall. When I walked, they hit the back of my legs. So sad because they rock!

Such a weird fit! I ordered a size larger since that's all that was available. The boot was very loose around my ankle, but way too tight on my upper calf.
