I love the look of this top, but I have a couple of comments for anyone considering purchasing it. I am 5'6" and 135 lbs with an athletic figure and like a previous reviewer, I am relatively small chested (wear 34B VS or Calvin Klein bra) with broad, muscular shoulders. I have trouble with some "girlier" looking tops that are made for narrower figures with triangles or bandeaus, but this top has a nice athletic cut. I ordered the white in a size 6 (smaller than I'd normally purchase - gut feeling was to purchase an 8 but wanted to make sure the cups didn't flail about while scuba diving) and although there is no structure (padding, boning, etc.) in the cup area, it is not an unattractive top when wet, it just looks a little more natural than a padded/ push-up top. It is slightly tight around the rib cage but it is my personal preference to have that tightness- kind of like a sports bra. Usually I feel like my chest is not at all accentuated, but this top actually promotes a little cleavage even on my broader frame. My only real complaint - or maybe caution is a better word - is that sunscreen will absolutely discolor the straps so be careful with the white! Will definitely order a darker color as well.

Love the Contemporary style, and that it’s not so oversized in design, even if you are bodacious.
Silky smooth fabric and the suit stays in position! It’s of upmost importance to be able to perform in the suit, like running, swimming, or just being in the waves.

No tugging or adjusting here!
My favorite style and label in fact for swimsuits!

I agree with the first reviewer; the sizing does not match today's current norms. I would say that a 6 is like a Small, which is what I ordered, and it fit perfectly. I wear a 34B-C and have fairly broad yoga shoulders. I normally take a small in most tops, and the 6 fit me well. I would order the full bottom, as I found it to fit similarly.

It is a beautiful well made suit. The suits run small. I am normally a size 2 in most clothing and I need a size 6 in this suit. Even then, the band on the top is tight around my rib cage. I am small busted so this suit works for me but otherwise if would be a problem.

Vitamin A's designers baffle me. They make high-quality swimsuits with great fabrics, stitching, and generally what would seem to be clean, functional designs. But the functional part is lacking. This top seems to be their staple seller, yet I don't understand why. The space between the two cups is too far apart, where you are millimeters away from showing your nipples and would easily expose yourself if you did more than lay on your back at the pool. The model wearing the "Ice Green" colored top makes you think it will fit, but it absolutely doesn't and remains way too far apart. I'm speaking as a petite woman with a 34B chest. This top would be great if they brought the cups closer together. Also, the design of this top isn't too flattering on women with bigger/muscular shoulders, no matter how petite you are. Aim for a halter instead.
