Fit perfectly. Good (not great) torsional stiffness. Silky smooth footbed. Have worn then from the day they arrived and have to say they’re my favorite shoes now. Only my Salewa boots are better.

I give these 5 stars not because they are perfect for everyone, but because they do what they are intended to do very well. I tried on a ton of approach and hiking shoes. These were the most robust for the category, also the heaviest at 24oz per shoe for my size 13s. Thats a whopping 7-8 oz heavier than the average. These really are a boot that is cut low.
The construction quality is superb. These are made in Romania, like the Scarpa Zen, and a pair of Asolo approach shoes I had in the past. They all tend to be heavier and of higher quality than Asian made shoes. The sole is stiff the stiffest of all the shoes I tried) with a built in rocker. There are pros and cons to a stiff sole, but if that's what you are after, these have you covered. Comfort is up there too, with a foot hugging feel. No heel slip. I can see these becoming a foot's best friend as they break in.
Not appropriate for trail running or light day hiking, but could foot the bill for carrying loads or moving over some wild terrain. Check out the Scarpa Zen if you want a similar build quality in a slightly lighter and more flexible shoe. If you want something truly light, there are plenty of other options out there.

It’s true everyone has different shapes of feet, but these shoes seem like they would accommodate a wide variety of them. They come with extra foot beds to accommodate a narrow volume foot but right out of the box they are geared up for the typical medium foot which fits me personally. Switching the footbeds around utilizes Velcro so whichever route you go it’s sure to be stable. I have a relatively low arch and need plenty of room in the front and these fit like a glove but also feel roomy at the same time. These things feel like tanks despite their low weight and feeling confident they will take anything I can dish at them especially with the Vibram sole. Not sure about wet traction but they feel like they will perform awesome on rocky terrain. Since they don’t have Gore-Tex and instead use a wonderfully comfortable full grain leather lining I plan on only using them in dry conditions anyway. The soles have plenty of rubber and look like they will last many years! This is my first pair of Salewas and I couldn’t be more wonderfully surprised. The quality is much higher than I thought they would be and I’m not impressed easily. Fits pretty much like a low cut hiking boot, exactly what I was looking for.

Fits like a glove around my foot and that really helps to keep my heel from moving or my toes getting scrunched when going up and down inclines. Has a lot of support and protection underneath when hiking over rocky ground. Couldn't be more pleased. It's almost impossible for me to find hiking shoes that fit well and avoid blisters but these really do "fit like a glove".

These are super comfortable. They are well constructed. They are a little pricey but worth it.

i am returning these because they have a rocker bottom fit
i used to wear these with the walking company but i developed hip pain(after wearing them for several years)
i did not give them a chance to be worn because of this feeling.

The stitching in the Vamp to toe area caused friction with pinky toes on both sides. Blister! The sole offes good traction, both ascending and descending. The friction blister occurred on descent. The welt is rigid but comfortable and adds stability. I would return them if I could but I already used them on a 5 mi hike today.
