These are the best shoes ever!! I have had three surgeries on my right foot and have to choose my shoes carefully! I normally wear a 8.5-9 and I wear a 39 in these. They are elegant and the leather is so soft. You just cannot go wrong with these shoes. I have two pairs of these, and I hope they continue to keep making this style. Writing a review is premature, but having been asked to do so by Zappos, I will offer first impressions. I ordered black in size 7.5 M, which is my usual size. I find the shoe to be true to size and comfortable right out of the box. I love the style, including the pointy toe, for the very flattering look on my foot. I am amazed that my toes don't feel squeezed, because my feet and toes are not slender. I also like the black with brown trim color. I don't like the look of the perforations in the light color but they're subtle in black and fine with me. It's a bit of a nuisance to button the straps, but nonetheless the shoe so far rates 5 stars.

These shoes are comfortable right out of the box! No need to break in. They are a beautiful style - providing a mix of black and brown. Gorgeous and comfortable. It doesn't get any better than that!

I have these shoes in two colors! I love this brand. I always like to have a bit of a heel on and I travel and walk quiet a bit and work in a field where I stand all the time. I can wear these shoes all through the streets of NY very comfortably - I feel stylish and comfy, a great combo especially when in NYC (or anywhere). I highly recommend!

The all purpose dress heel. Enough of a heel to be dressy but comfortable enough to not kill your feet. Black and brown. What else would one want?

I've been wanting to buy a pair of Pikolinos for some time but haven't, instead buying shoes over and over again that hurt my feet, my feet with bunions, plantar fasciitis, high arches, you name it, adding heel pads, insoles, trips to the shoe doctor when all I had to do was buy this pretty little shoe and put it on and wear it day after day right out of the box. Beautiful!

Super cute shoe! As a teacher I'm on my feet all day, and these shoes were comfy all day. I have a bunion on one foot and my toes are fairly chubby. I think most would love this shoe.

Really beautiful and well made. I have very fussy feet and I find them very comfortable. I also love that they're airy and ventilated, but have a closed toe. I have worn these to the office, an exhibit opening and a concert. They work with skirts or pants. Very versatile and stylish.

As an administrator, I'm on my feet all day on a large campus. I'm usually on the search for dressy, comfortable, and low heel shoes; this pair is a winner. I love this pair of shoes so much, I ordered both available colors! I highly recommend them.

Such a classy, adorable shoe! The pointy toe elongates the leg and I don't feel like I"m falling off heels but the height gives enough lift to be dressy OR casual. Great with black. Very comfortable to be in all day. Love them. Unique and chic.

These are fabulous shoes. I walked continuously for 4 days in them - had no discomfort, no break-in period. They look great with dresses. Their style is pretty reminiscent of the old Pappagallo shoes from the late 70s/early 80s.

Very comfortable, but a sizing seems a bit small. I usually wear a 41. I ordered a 41 and 42 and the 41 was very tight. Happily keeping the 42.

This is a really good quality shoe and it doesn't have that funky comfy/Euro look to it. I ordered the 41 which was just right for my 10 to 10.5 foot. The only thing I didn't care for, and is the reason for my return, is the heel was a little too low for how I want to wear it with cropped pants. I would rather have the Pikolinos Samoa in the similar style, but Zappos doesn't have it yet. They do have the oxford but not the mary jane style. Very comfortable shoe.

beautiful shoes, perfect heel height. always get compliments. bit snug though in the front, even with time and wearing, so beware if your foot is a bit on the wider side (mine is not particularly so and still I find them a bit uncomfortable for all day wearing)

The shoe fits as expected. It works well with pants and skirts.

I saw a friend wearing these shoes and really liked the style. So I bought a pair for me! I have a small foot and wanted a simple, small heel. I also wanted a shoe that did not look like a "dress-up" heel. I wear these with jeans and skirts. Mostly casual. The thing I do not like about these shoes is the strap. I am over 65 and do a lot of walking/active/working/etc. I have had knee replacement and broken ankle repair. I find that buckling this strap on the outside of the foot is very difficult to do as the attachment is far behind my foot on the outside of the ankle. It is hard to twist and reach it since my foot/leg does not maneuver that easily anymore. Sad but true. That has not stopped me from wearing cute shoes..but this pair is difficult to fasten. I agree with another review that a velcro or larger strap buckle might have been easier to use.

Much more on the short end of the range than the lon1. Otherwise cute. Too short for me.

Beautiful shoes, but the size conversions are wrong. I am a size 11 and ordered the suggested size 41 against my better judgement since I know an 11 corresponds to a 43 in most shoes. I was right, they were way too small. I also tried a 42 and it fit more like a size 10. Please fix your size conversions, Zappos!

These are beautifully-crafted shoes that sadly didn't work for my ankles and feet. The ankle strap wasn't tight enough for my narrow ankles, while the toe box was too small for my forefoot. I considered going up a size, but I think the European sizing is just a half size off from fitting me. 37 is too small, but I think 38 would've been too big, especially since the ankle strap was already too loose. I was also a bit disappointed at the lack of arch support, or rather that the sole just didn't match up to my feet very well. But the leather was soft, the craftsmanship was gorgeous, and the leather was beautiful. Wonderful shoes, just sadly not for me!

These shoes are super cute and so so so so comfortable. The only thing I wish I could change is the strap. It would be great to have a loop/velcro strap instead. Otherwise, love the shoes!
