My son likes the low ankle on this boot.

I spent hours searching for the right boot, preferably with a matching left one. When I came across Pajar CANADA Guardo, it was as if a light shone down from Heaven on this lonely heathen. The angels sang, the celestial choir drowned in my high pitched tinnitus. They have now been received. The quality! The comfort! The casual style of the modern Canadian! Truly, the perfect boot for one such as myself. When I put them on, they became part of my person, indistinguishable from the cells of my body at the quantum level. As telomeres protect chromosomes, the long metal auglets protect the ends of the silky, durable bootlaces. My heels are cradled in springy support, my toes are contained yet free to wiggle and occasionally swell a bit, as they do. Below-average arches are fortified, and the sole seizes the earth as a giant's fingers close upon the mountains. Only time will tell the true durability of these boots, yet my heart tells me they will remain steadfast. Farewell, gentle shoe-seekers, may you discover that this boot is the answer to your noble Sole Quest, and let the words of the experienced be your guide.

Great boot. I ordered .5 size larger after reading other reviews. If you like a snug boot get normal size. If you want to wear boot socks or mid weight Smart Wool's go up a half. Looks good with casual or with dress. Great sticky sole without tracking mud in everywhere. Not too tall. Highly recommended. It's a great foul weather boot that is not too hot. Seems to breath ok and looks great.

I've had these boots for almost two weeks, and absolutely love them. In terms of looks, the leather's of high quality, and these are perfectly fine with anything you might wear in a business casual office. As for fit, I'm normally a 10.5 or 11, and the 11s feel perfect. There's room for me to wear thicker socks if/when needed, but definitely not so much room that I'd go down to a smaller size. Also, these were comfortable from the day I put them on, and have only softened up since. I get warm pretty easily, but these seem to strike the balance of keeping my feet feeling cozy but never hot. And I've already been through a few nasty winter walks to feel confident that they're delivering on their waterproof promise.

I earned many style points up in the snow this season with my Guards. Not meant for standing around in the snow for hours, but perfect when the boots come off and the fun begins.

Never tried this brand before. Decided to take a chance. Very pleased all around. I'm in sales and walk all over New York City daily. These boots have proven to be warm, waterproof, comfortable, and stylish enough to wear with business casual attire. I would definitely invest in this brand again.

Unfortunately the picture of the shoe is different from what you receive. The shoe in the picture is much better looking than the one you receive. It is a very high quality boot, I was just disappointed that Zappos couldn't get the picture correct.

I liked these boots because they were unlike other styles I normally see worn in the Midwest. They are fairly light-weight but still keep my feet warm and dry. I struggled with the sizing and had to order a full size down, but of course Zappos is always amazing about returns. What I don't like about them is comfort. My foot is average width I guess? Meaning I've never had a width issue with a shoe before... until now. This is a very narrow boot and if you have a wide foot then it's not for you. Actually I'd say that because I bet most people will need to order a half or full size down then that makes the narrow issue even more problematic because you can't order a large size because of width. Overall I still like the boot and kept them but I only wear them on my commute to work and they are fine for that. I don't think I could wear them for long periods of time.

I ordered the dark brown Pajar Guardo boots based on the pictures featured on the website. The colors of the boot that was shipped do not match those of that boot. It does, however, match the boot featured in the video. Please update the pictures to accurately reflect the boot. Luckily, returns with Zappos are easy. Still, I'm disappointed in the misrepresentation.

the boot is very warm as they say it will. the biggest problem is that after only 1.5 season and very light use the shoe upper cracked and started leaking and the tongue ripped. poor construction over all for a shoe that used to $180
