These are fakes. I bought the same thing g from planet shoes. I could tell immediately they were knockoffs. Pajar items are handmade, and this particular boot has been out of stock on their website for a at least a year now. You can still see the boot on their site, and if you look closely the colors, and detail on their site is far different than these on Zappos.

Made overseas. For half the price, I mighta kept these. That's about the quality level they felt. The boots didn't quite have the structure to hold themselves up in the shaft and one buckled on itself uncomfortably. No arch support at all. Cute and easy to walk in but not adorable. For this price range I'd rather get a pair of Sorels! Felt just a bit roomy.
I'd also recommend:
Sorel, Kamik

Great boot. I just don't want to lace it up every time I wear them. I'm exchanging them for the similar CANADA grip zip boot.

Oops! Sturdier, not steadier.
Update: I have decided to return the Pajar. Therefore, my search continues until I locate a comfortable boot like the Kamik Bordeaux with the shaft height of the Pajar Aventure. I like the look of the Pajar better, but comfort wins over looks every time when it comes to winter boots. Warmth, light weight, and waterproof are a must though!!!
Additionally, Zappos has corrected the temperature rating.

Love these boots! They are amazing on ice. I never worry about slipping. Of course, very very warm in cold (10 degrees fahrenheit) weather. They are a rugged snow boot and look great. However, they only get 4 stars for style - trade offs are part of life.

These boots are well constructed and give a lot of security. They are also very warm. I do not avoid puddles with these boot I walk through puddles in them.

These are great winter boots! They are high enough to provide ample waterproof coverage in the mounds of snow we have gotten in the Northeast so far this winter. They are warm, stylish, and comfortable. I disagree with the other reviewer regarding calf width - I have very thin calves and these boots are able to tighten snugly around my lower legs. They are also sturdy and sure-footed on the ice/snow. The narrow foot profile is a refreshing change from my old clunky boots. I am unsure why the other reviewer is so down on these boots - I was hesitant to buy them based on her review but am so glad I went ahead and got them. I really could not be happier.

Had to exchange for the next size. Runs very small. Also the picture does not look like the boot I received. I still like the boot but the picture looks like its all dark brown and in reality there is a significant contrast between the shades of brown.

I love them! My only complaint iso the lack of arch support. But, that is what a lot of the reviews warned, so I was prepared.

Be aware, the color of these boots is not as pictured. They are uniformly one brown color. No tan highlights except for the tongue and the laces themselves. They have no arch support, but luckily (unlike Sorels) they have removable insoles, so one can insert orthotics. I'm am still debating whether to keep them.

Overall, not a bad boot. Not as comfortable as the Kamik Nice or Bordeaux, but one can use an insert. The Pajar is obviously a bit steadier than the before mentioned Kamiks and will need a bit of break in time. As for the waterproof claim, I cannot confirm or deny, as the weather is not wet enough right now to test that. Warmth, there is a bit of a discrepancy, as the Zappos description lists the temperature rating as -40 F and -40 C and the boots packaging states -22 F and -30 C. I called to report this and was informed an email would be sent to correct, BUT in the world of business, this email may end up ignored. Sizing for me ran a 1/2 size larger, I normally order a US size 9 (or EU 40).

I'm returning these because of the laces. Takes way too long to comfortably lace up. I ordered the 8 and they were true to size with enough room for a light sock. The insoles are extremely rough/hard. The arch support could be better. Beyond these concerns, the boot was very comfortable.

These boots are very comfortable, but as another reviewer said, the shape is a little odd. If you look at the profile, you can see that there is a pronounced rounding to the calf, except that it falls several inches below the calf on my leg resulting in extra, gaping space, and I do not have long legs (5'4", long waisted). This is more pronounced in one boot than the other, and looks silly on that leg. On the other leg where it's not as obvious, it looks like the leather has broken in some, so it could get more floppy over time and my concern is that it would become uncomfortable. Out of the box, it is not noticeable when you wear them and they are very comfortable and warm. The foot is very comfortable and the boot is not overly heavy. This calf issue may not be a problem for someone else, so worth a try. If this rounded area were less pronounced, I would give these 5 stars across the board. I wear a 7.5/38 in normal shoes and ordered a 38 and they are snug. I would want to re-order these in a 39 to be able to comfortably wear a mid-weight sock. A boot that is too tight in the toes will not allow enough air circulation to keep your toes warm.

The boot was comfortable enough but if I kept them I would have purchased an insert. Why did I return them? Look at the profile picture of the boot. It is clearly shaped for a very large (and low) calf. I don't have the thinnest calves in the world but even I could grab a good two inches of "boot" in the calf area. It just looked sloppy (on me anyway).
