Sizing of Bernie Mev shoes is always a little hit or miss, and I've taken to ordering them a size larger than I usually wear, especially the newer styles. This is one of the older styles, which seem better made and more consistent. I'm happy with a pair in silver/gray that I've had for a long time, and these fit just the same. I'd love to see some of the other styles made as well as these.

The color is not a dark jeans blue, but it is a pretty color blue and not so shiny as some BM's. The heel slipped so I must return them.

Too tight in toe box. Otherwise pretty. Came with soles outside of shoe. Black pair I ordered came with no soles. Keeping black pair as slightly larger in toe. Inconsistent sizing and components.

I ordered these in the denim and the black shimmer for something different from the pewter Victoria shoes I've had for several years. The arch support in these shoes is minimal, at best. I have inserted arch support and metatarsal pads which I need in order to avoid neuromas. The new model seems smaller in the toe area than the ones I have -- it's hard to know if that's just because my older pair is stretched out and conforms well to my feet, or if the model has changed somewhat. But in any case, I have to return these because my toes are just too cramped. I wear an 8 1/2 and ordered the 40 -- maybe a 41 would be better, but this type of soft sided shoe has to fit well or it flops around in the heel area. Too bad Bernie Mevs are so good looking but so hard to find a good fit (at least for me). Oh, and IMO, the black shimmer is not nearly as pretty or practical as the pewter- -it is too shiny and silvery.

Saw these on another woman in her late 60's and asked about them, although I suspected they were Bernie Mev shoes. They had the look. So cute. Slip ons casuals that look like a tied walking shoe. I wear a 10-11 depending on the shoe. The 41, which is advertised as a 10-10.5, is either not quite long enough or the toe section is not wide enough. After wearing for a while my toes feel cramped. Shame because these have a nice comfortable sole, but alas, cannot do an all day wear in these. Wish they would extend their sizing to what Merrell or Clark shoe sizing has, a true 11 when needed.

I love this shoe! Unfortunately the shoe didn't love me. I bought these shoes specifically for the color, and they did not disappoint. I am an 8M and ordered a 39. After the second wear, my toes hurt from the front of the shoes. My mother is a size smaller than me, and ended up with them and they feel fine from her perspective. When I wore them, I got many compliments on the unique style! I purchased them as an alternative to sneakers to wear with a sports jersey and style wise, they were perfect.

Having purchased Bernie Mev previously I was already aware of their sizing problems. There is no consistency, not only among the different sizes but also within the same pair of shoes. One shoe can be larger than the other and different sizes can fit almost the same. The secret is to keep trying til you find a pair that is normal. But once you do that you will be walking on a cloud. The shoes are stretchy and incredibly soft and comfortable. The jeans color will be perfect with all of my blue jeans.

I like this shoe as I have other Bernie Mevs and like their specific woven look. the grey contrast on this shoe helps it stand out as special. The fit is on target, but the front of the shoe is not as wide as it would need to be for complete comfort. The rest of the shoe has a normal width.

Looks darling from the top and side, but once you stand on it, the sole offers no protection. The tiny bumps in the floor felt like bruises. Had to return.

Fascinating little product. The big attraction is: wonderful spongy footbed, and the upper is constructed of attractively woven elastic. I've only had mine for a month, and so far, the cushy soles have not broken down, but I don't wear them every day. I usually order a 40, but in this shoe my big toe was definitely meeting the end of the shoe. The 41 fits in lengthy, but the heel is a bit loose. My foot tends to be wide, although I don't often buy a wide...it's kind of a boxy foot. In the front of the shoe, my toes get a little pushed together from the sides, helping my almost hammer toe to hammer a bit! It's not intolerable, but I don't think I'd do Disneyland in them. The footbed itself is super comfy.

This shoe is a great shoe it fits like a glove. The sole provides a nice cushiony comfortable ride, but yet snug. I could work/walk all day in these shoes provided they don't stretch out too much.

I am a solid size 8, but this shoe appeared short on me. I really like it, but I believe if I went up a size it would be too big. The open toes Bernie Mev shoes work well on me.

I bought 3 pair to match3 outfits. They were beautiful but back of heels broke down the first time I wore them.

A size 41 is really a 10.5 Need to make this in 42 to fit size 11

Cute shoes but not enough support for me because I have a neuroma on my left foot. I could also feel the bumpy soles.

I ordered size37 and was sent size 36. They are a little tight but I am keeping them.

I have had two previous pairs of these. I have loved their versatility and comfort. But the most recent iteration is far narrower and with a pointier toe box than earlier versions.

Felt much too small.

Have many pair of Bernie men shoes. I normally wear size 11. This is the first pair I was able to get size 42. Most mev’s Stop at 41. These shoes fit ok for short time wearing. Wish they came wider.

Saw these shoes on many fellow travelers & decided to try. I did not find them comfortable at all. Did not seem that there was arch support for me. at all. It was wise to size up.

Yes, these are very comfortable and fit like slippers. They are very cute and the soles have a nice cushion. I really wanted to like them. But, like slippers, they have no support at all. They have no side to side stability. They have no arch support. When I put in my arch supports the back of the shoe did not fit properly and my heel would not stay in the shoe. The size was good. I normally wear a 10M, they suggested a 40 but I ordered a 41, which is the size I normally order in European sizes. The heel runs wide.

My heel kept slipping. Wanted to love this shoe. Bad fit.

I bought a size larger having read reviews about the fact that they ran small. They fit fine (bought a 39 where normally I'd buy a 38), but the top of the shoe comes to an annoying looking point that I think looks strange. You can't really see it in most of the photos, and now that I know what it looks like you can kind of see it in the side view where the front of the shoe faces left. As a result, I'm not keeping them.

Cute, but too flexible to be supportive shoes for all day wear.

The shoes are cute and would be comfy if they were not too short and too narrow in toe box.
