I love this bag. I have it in cognac and it’s beautiful. The one I received in the fern color was not as stunning. It had a large area in the front and back of the bag that was almost white. Like the leather didn’t soak in the dye. Sadly I returned.

the bag itself is great, the leather is not like the Frye boots but it's a bag - so, yes, it's different.. Note that the colors are nothing like the photos at all. I've had 2 of them - 1 from amazon via frye and 1 from frye - then I found them here - the colors are SO off. I know it's a natural hyde and pigments can vary, but we're talking VARY a LOT!

Really light grey- not at all the color in the pic. Returning this week :(

Purchased based on one review that it was a”neutral”. Not the case for the one I received. Definitely more or a pink hue. Returned. As expected other than the color

The Antique looks bronze-like online. It’s totally grey. I love this purse but the color is very disappointing

Bag came with pin size holes all over one side.

This bag is gorgeous but there's no zipper at the top, just a magnetic snap. My bags lead a rough and tumble life and I need to be able to close them completely. No zipper was a deal breaker.

This bag is a nice brown bag. The leather is high quality. But it lacks that rich supple leather quality I was looking for. I am returning.

While I love the look of this bag, I find that the shorter strap gets in the way when I go to access the interior...it will not lay flat against the side of the bag...frustrating and inconvenient !

Overall I'm disappointed. I should have returned the bag just based on the color, but I saw all the glowing reviews and I hoped it would grow on me. I ordered slate, which I envisioned to be in the grey family. The bag is brown. The leather is of great quality as you would expect at this price point. But the straps aren't great. The reason I purchase bags this large is because I fill them with stuff. Lots of stuff means a heavy bag. The short strap is hard and skinny and very uncomfortable. The long strap is also too thin for comfort. If I hadn't already cut off the tags and used this bag it would be going back.

I love Frye products but I think I got a bad apple on this one. The stiching is off on the top and it makes it difficult to close and it just looks cheap. I am very disappointed in this purchase. You will notice in the pictures one side is flat but the other side puffs up and doesn't line up with the magnet to close.
