It is a gorgeous bag! The leather and the size is perfect. I just wish the cross body strap was a little longer.

It's a birthday gift for my wife so I haven't unwrapped it but I'm sure it's a nice purse because she saw one in the window in Carmel just like it.

just got my Melissa hobo yesterday and i LOVE it! the leather is remarkable, and i love the size. the combination of the crossbody strap and over-the-shoulder handle makes it a super practical bag too. and, of course, i'll be happy to love this bag as it ages, and only gets better!

Bought this bag a few weeks ago and absolutely love it! It is comfortable to carry, has lots of room and is really adorable!

The leather and feel is nice but Im horrible at reading the description and didnt realize it was just a magnetic clasp. Additionally, the shoulder strap didnt provide enough room. Maybe because my arms are a bit bigger? If I hadnt bought it on clearance and had the option of returning it - I would have returned it.

I was so excited to actually get my hands on this bag. If looks and feels great. The quality is excellent. It wears nicely on my shoulder or as a crossbody. I was concerned it would be too heavy, but it's not. I also love that the crossbody strap is adjustable. I was not disappointed.

This is my second Melissa Hobo. I ordered the dark brown this time (Cognac previously). My first one is still in great shape 7 years later and the leather has gotten that vintage look over time. I get compliments constantly. The space is wonderful. I even fit a good sized purse organizer inside of it and still have room around all sides and top (so purse pockets are available). The zippers have held out beautifully over the years and I love the ease of magnetic closure. Beautiful purse and I havent found another I loved as much. My only complaint is that it isnt available in black.

Too big and too thick

I LOVE Frye purses. I have this bag in 4 different colors with wallets to match! The only problem is the leather above the magnetic closure is separating at the top crease of the purse on two of the purses! I a very disappointed. I faithfully keep the leather lotion on all my Frye bags. Hope it doesnt come apart on the remaining 2 beautiful hobos. Never had any problems with any of my fry products other than this with my bags!

The leather is so soft. Softest material Ive felt in a long time. The look is amazing and it holds its shape so well! Perfect chocolate color.

Love the color(cognac), the size , the smell and the way it fits under my arm. I like the key holder because the bag is big enough for keys to get lost and the cloth pockets inside are perfect for glasses. My daughters have already said they want it when youre done with it)

This leather bag is very beautiful. It does get scratched up but that kind of goes with the look. I think it will last.

Loved this bag at first, seemed all most perfect even without an outside pocket. However, after wearing it on my should maybe 30 minutes to shop it dug into my shoulder & really hurt. Has a rolled strap that does not lay flat… OUCH! Returned.

Although I have not used this handbag much yet, I love the style, color and feel of the leather. It is a very nice, large hobo bag if you're looking for one! Frye does not disappoint with this.

I love Frye! (Probably too much) I've had my eye on this for a few years. I wish I had gone with my gut and got this instead of other Frye handbags. I purchased the beige in hope's it would be golden/blond tones. It was very pink/blush toned. Not for me! With Zappos awesome service I returned it for the cognac. It goes with everything! Nice roomy handbag but isn't too overwhelming. It molds nicely to your body and the two strap options are a bonus. Holds my wallet, cosmetic bag, phone, gloves and a bunch of other random items with plenty of room for more random items! Ha! HAPPY HAPPY

Handbags are intensely personal. This bag is almost perfect, and here's why I love it: It's lightweight, roomy and soft, so it holds a lot while moulding to your body. It doesn't look like you're schlepping around a giant suitcase. This bag is especially great for winter, enabling you to throw gloves, scarf, and hat inside as well as a bottle of water, wallet, and all of your necessities. It has two different straps, so you can use the short shoulder strap, or you can clip on the longer crossbody strap and stuff the shoulder strap inside. I personally like the longer drop strap, but it's nice to have options. It also doesn't have a zipper. Zippers on handbags annoy me because they tend to scratch your hands and they add structure that limits the size and shape of whatever items you put inside your purse. What would make this bag perfect? I wish it had four metal studs on the bottom in case you need to set this bag on the ground. The color that I got (bronze foiled leather, a limited edition) has a dark brown interior, which is a bit annoying. I prefer a lighter interior because it's easier to find stuff against a brighter fabric. My particular bag also didn't come with a little strap inside for clipping your keys to. Some of the colors of this bag do have a key strap. I get around this by using a carabiner to clip my keys to the metal strap ring. This is a deep bag, and your keys do tend to get lost unless you do something about it. I'm considering getting a lighter color of this bag for spring/summer. I hope Frye puts metal studs on the bottom and makes sure all colors have key straps inside and light-colored contrasting interiors.
