A very comfortable shoe. I normally wear an 11.5 in a Salomon, had to go up a half size in the Salewa.

I normally wear a 7 or 7.5 shoe, but had to get a full size larger in this model of the Salewa, but it was worth the hassle of returning not one but two orders (first a 7 then a 7.5) before landing on the 8 which fits perfectly. For a very sturdy hiking shoe, this one is comfortable right out of the box. It looks and feels great and is a perfect shoe to go from city to country to trail. Very happy with this purchase now that I've gotten the correct size. Happily Zappos makes returns very easy!

I have had these shoes for a few months now. I wear them for daily work and hikes. They are extremely comfortable. I have the Gore-Tex version and they aren't hot at all. I am 10.5 true and I went with the 10.5 for the tight snug fit that an approach shoe should have. The 3f system has been great for keep my heel locked into the shoe, and reducing the chance of blisters. I tested the waterproofing multiple times and it was perfect. My feet felt wet, but it was just my sweat the cold water making my feet cold. (I pulled the shoes off to check). I am for sure going to be purchasing another pair!

These shoes are great daily drivers, around town, on the trail and everywhere in between. It's a sticky, aggressive sole that does well in any conditions, including solid grip on wet rock! Supportive enough for day trips or scrambling on easy climbs. As a Salewa employee, these are one of my go-to shoes!

Great shoe. Buy a half size larger. A small glitch with my order but Zappos makes it right!

9.5 was to true to fit but shoes are very narrow especially in the toe box my toes had no room for movement they were squashed together at the sides of my feet,my foot size is 9.5 D width,I even tried a size 10 it was a little big for me but my toes were still squashing together some.

Love the Salewa GTX! This is my second pair. Really great to find a hiking shoe that fits my narrow foot. I wore out my first pair. And no blisters!! Too bad they no longer supply the two different insoles I got with my first pair. I highly recommend the Salewa GTX for people trying to fit their narrow foot.

These are by far the best hiking shoes/sneakers I've owned. Comfortable right out of the box, the do what rare shoes can do -- they make walking more pleasurable and easier, combining light weight, foot support, and great traction with accurate sizing.

These shoes are awesome. I’m currently using them hiking around Norway and will be off to Iceland soon and am so happy with my purchase decision. They look great, keep my feet warm and dry in the wet weather, and are light weight and comfortable for the 8+ miles I’m covering each day. The bottom tread is very tacky so i feel sure-footed even on slippery surfaces. I highly recommend them to anyone who looking for a shoe that performs great on the trails as well as looks cool around town.

Size ten was true to size but the shoes are very narrow especially in the toe box there is no room for your toes if you are a true size ten I am a 9.5 shoe was a little big for me but still was squashing my toes together some.

This shoe fit length wise, but was way narrow. They hurt so bad I had to change shoes half way through the day.

Amazing

I noticed that these shoes have very few reviews. Almost no breakin period. Good for trail running, but a but hot if temp is about 70f (goretex version). Excellent for hiking, especially rocky and muddy terrain. Went through a Katahdin mountain, traverses the knife edge back and force and came down. Total was about 15 miles and about 13hr hike. Feet were tired but absolutelly no blisters or related pain (unlike my Vasque Juxt shoes that weren't so nice to my feet during a different but similar hike on Mount Washington).

Looks great! Feels great! Perfect all-around light hiking boots -- and fine for city walking too!

I bought this pair after buy the Navy pair due to great fit and style.

Loved the way the laces came up to the toe, which makes for great lacing for downhill. However, The shoe was too long like a whole size. I usually take a 7 1/2 but get an 8 due to feet swell, but this was huge!. Sad that they did not have the size I needed!

The length was good but they are too narrow for my feet. Wish they came in a D width. “

The fit was slightly tight. I would probably get a half size bigger. However I've only worn them a dozen times and on my last hike I stumbled and a branch ripped a hole in the top of the shoe. I'm very disappointed in the quality of the fabric.
