This shoe does not have a size that fits me! The 9 was way too large (both length and width), the 8 barely bumped my great toe walking on level surfaces, but on the downhills was quite painful. I originally thought that I could overcome the bump by lacing to secure my heel against the back of the shoe, but that did not work either. This maneuver put the shoestrings across the very thin portion of the tongue, which was also very uncomfortable. I have been using my old Brooks Ghost, which needs to be replaced, but was still better than the Altra.

I have another one of these shoes from earlier in the year and that shoe fits perfectly. Somehow, the same size is larger in the toe box and and longer. The shoe was snug. This one doesn't work. I am ordering a size 7.5 and returning the 8.
