I have a torn ankle tendon and overpronation so I need supportive shoes or everything from the ankle up to the hip gets messed up and in pain. Dansko is one of the few brands that never lets me down, so I was excited when they finally got rubber flipflops. Sounds so simple, but this is one of those things you really need for certain situations (beach, lake, washing car, etc) and it's impossible to find any that don't make my ankle hurt within a few minutes. These shoes are certainly not attractive or feminine, but beggars can't be choosers, so I bit the bullet and spent the price plus tax on rubber flip flops. The good: They are super comfortable in terms of support. No ankle or knee problems wearing these. The rubber bottom also looks quite sturdy. The bad: As others have mentioned, that damn toe-thong. I seriously checked mine to see if a bit of razor blade was embedded in it, that's how bad it hurt. But I was determined to make these work, so I wore them around the house for a full week. Finally, my toe toughened up and I'm now used to them. I certainly wouldn't risk wearing them, say, to a festival or walking around for an extended time, but they will work for going to the beach, etc. As others mentioned, these are quite loose, but to me this seems true to the "flip-flop" style. Most of my flip flops fly off my feet a bit...hence the name. If they were tight to the foot, I can only imagine the toe thong would be even more painful! Ouch! So, be forewarned. Anyway, I'm hopeful that this heralds Zappos coming out with some other durable, rubber, but more attractive flipflops...these have all the sex appeal of a pair of Tevas.

Most comfortable flip flop I have ever worn! I suffer from plantar fasciitis and I feel no pain when I wear these. Love them!

I have issues with arch support and really should NEVER wear a traditional flip-flop. These are very supportive and I can walk in them ALL DAY! The right one does rub just a little on my index toe but I am hoping that will go away the more I wear them; I've only been wearing them for about a week so far. Also, I usually take a 39 but with these I had to go a 1/2 size up to the 40, traditionally a size 9. I'm also curious as to how they do in the rain and on slippery surfaces, no input at the moment. Fine on dry ground. CONS: PRICE, really? That much for a flip flop? Yea, I bit the bullet and paid it but not happy about that.

A cute sporty sandal, however I am returning because I was concerned about my feet sweating on the footbed material. They were comfortable and cushy. I ordered the orange and it is a rusty orange, not bright orange. As with all Danskos, I thought there were a bit heavy, but if you are Dansko fan, these may just work for you.

I wish I could keep these. The footbed is supportive and comfortable, but the toe strap is so uncomfortable. I suspect it's the material. I can usually wear any thong, my toes are tough. With these my 2nd toe had a blister within an hour. Ouch.

I needed a flip flop for my PF that gives me good arch and heel support so I ordered this shoe in my size 9 based on reviews. Shoe fit great, felt great and thought we had a home run with them until I started walking...the shoe flies off forward while walking. The strap for the toe is too high and so the top strap is not snug on the top of your foot so that allows the whole shoe to slip forward and off. Sadly sending them back.

The thong between the toe is stiff and rubs sores on my feet. I love Dansko, but they need to go back to the design department on this sandal.

I wear the Danskos in the winter and these are perfect for summer! Perfect for the beach, pool, etc. Gives me all the support I'm used to from Danskos. I went a size lower than I wear with the regular shoes.

I love this shoes. I have them in white, black, gray and navy. They are so comfortable, give your foot excellent support and are stylish. I highly recommend them.

I love these flip-flops so much I bought 3 pair to get me through summer, fall and winter into next summer at the earliest. I have a very high in-step, ouchy heels and early arthritis: I wear these all the time indoors and outdoors when I can be super-casual. 3 cheers for dansko!

I have now worn these flip flops all Summer. Prior to buying I tried 12 different types from Zappos. These were the only ones that really felt good initially. Well, I can tell you they are awesome. The sole is firm and really helped with the foot problem I was having. It was a mix of plantar fasciitis and some other issue. Anyway, I have worn them every day for the last at least 2 months. If you're a Dansko person, as I am, I would especially highly recommend. All of my shoes are Dansko. They are entirely with heels, boots, sandals. This was a nice change for Dansko creating a casual but substantial flip flop.

These are very comfortable. They will take a few wearings a to soften up, as the top material is a little stiff. They provide good arch support. They flatter the feet, and are not too chunky.

Weight issues have made comfy shoes an issue. Discovered Dansko a couple years ago, and they really support my feet. But finding a summer flip flop for the beach was really hard! I have tried Fit Flop, but they dont provide the arch support that Dansko does. I am going online now to order some other more muted colors! Threw out all my other flip flop!

I had no idea Dansko made thong sandals. Now I know and I love them! I'd been searching for a comfortable pair for eons. I wore these for 8 hours of walking right out of the box which is sort of a miracle for me. They really do run short. I normally wear a 41, but after reading the reviews here, ordered a 42 and they fit perfectly. In fact, I like the fit so well that, in addition to my boring black pair, I'm ordering one of the bright colors. Recommend!

I purchased these in order to support my flat feet. They seem to do the trick for me. I wore them all day at home and had no painful feet. I received the shoes extremely fast and they were packaged nicely and in an eco-friendly way. They fit well and the color scheme is great.

My review is fairly dull. Everything went smoothly and on time. This was a gift for my wife who needs the arch support and you folks had the item I could not find locally. Nice work, Zappos.

I have not been able to wear flip flop for awhile. These were great right out of the box. Took me a bit of time to get used to the toe thong but I wear them a lot. Great summer shoe.

This thong sandal is the best sandal ever for my tired achy plantar fasciitis. That's why I've purchased three pairs of the Katy. I disagree that these are neither cute or feminine. I think the person who wrote that review had Birkenstocks in mind. Thong sandals are definitely feminine and they are cute as well. Please make this shoe in metallics such as silver, gold and bronze. Thank you Dansko for a great thong sandal.

Cute sandals. Feel good and they're adjustable. My problem is that my big toe on one foot insists on falling off the side. I don't have wide feet so maybe these run a bit narrow. The soles feel cushy and comfortable.

I really wanted to love these shoes. They are stylish, and very comfortable. Except for the thing between the toes. I had the shoes on inside the house, and after a lap around the living room, I noticed that it was bothering me. Sadly, these need to be returned. These would be 5 stars all the way if that toe thing was not a problem.

Love them! Great arch support with the usual fabulous Dansko feel but without the clunky chunky look of the winter shoes. I only wear Dansko. No thanks for a flip flop style!

Love these. I got the green color because it was different. They fit perfectly. I wear a 91/2 and the size and width were right on. Very comfortable with good arch support.

I love my Dansko Katy sandals. I have requested that my family buy me a couple more in different colors for my birthday. I also have many pairs in the shoe type. These are all that I wear.

I love this shoe! Toe strap not at all uncomfortable for me although it is a bit on the stiff side but I'm sure that will soften with wearing. Lots of support, good looking sandal, well crafted.
