Definitely true to size. Purchased 1/2 size down because of the reviews and my big toe hung out like a sore thumb! They are comfortable on the feet however so, I intend to reorder them.

I tried these in a couple of sizes. While I love the style of the shoe overall, I don't think it's the right shoe for a woman like me who is a 9 to 9.5 and here's why. My feet are toward the large end of the scale and it seemed that this style exaggerated the length of my foot. Slingbacks are my shoe of choice and these are a very comfortable slingback. The visual effect of the deep V created by the criss-crossed top laying exactly in line with the space between my large and second toes resulted in making my foot seem elongated. That's not for me. They would look cuter on someone with smaller feet or maybe someone who doesn't have really long toes like mine. So, don't be afraid to try them for yourself. They are both dressy and comfortable--a combination that's hard to beat.

Very stylish shoes. I bought them in Taupe Snake, and it looks amazing. I have high arches, so these shoes are perfect for me. They are, however, not as comfortable as I hoped they would be. The thick straps that go around the hill run too high and hit the bone on the side of my foot.

These are great looking sandals, but beware the footbed seems true to size, but the strap and holes placement create a loose, floppy fit. I ordered a 39, my usual size, and the strap did not fit snugly, even buckled on the first hole. I returned them for a 38 and was satisfied.

As always, Dansko has created a stylish, comfortable, quality shoe. I've had my eye on these for some time. They are very comfortable and look great on the foot and elongate the legs. However, my toes slid a little too far forward; this is nothing to do with the shoe, simply a problem I tend to have with other heeled sandals with wider toe openings than a peep-toe or without a toe-ring. Guess I have super skinny toes :) I felt a little like I was sliding in the shoe because of this, and fear that, as the leather softens, it would get worse. A smaller size would be too short for my foot, as these were the perfect length. Very sad to have to return.

I wanted a red sandal and this is a beautiful color and a very comfy shoe. Unfortunately I found that I don't like the fake wood look of the bottom, so I'm returning. If that type of thing doesn't bother you, then this is a fine shoe. I'm a size 8 and the 38 fit me perfectly.

I love the style of this Dansko...it is not as comfortable as I would like. The straps criss cross on my little toes and rub which is uncomfortable I have not broke them in yet so I am hoping they will get better with wear. Arch support is great and other than that it is very comfortable and the reason I kept them? Because I love this style, it looks very nice!

I think these sandals are really beautiful. Nice leather and nice size low heel with platform are a great style. Arch and footbed support are very important to me, and many people have told me that Danskos are great in that area. While the footbed was initially very comfortable, it felt like the arch support did not reach all the way to the edge of the shoe. So it felt like my arch was not properly supported. I tried Dansko clogs many years ago and had the same problem. I guess the brand just does not work with my feet. I am sad because I think they are great looking sandals.

Love these shoes except one thing. The left one "smacks" when I walk. I've tried everything -- powder, making sure my feet stay dry, wetting my arch a bit...nothing works. I guess I'll just live with the smacking. Other than that, they fit as they should. I fall between a 6 1/2 and a 7 and the 37 fits me fine. I don't have a problem with the straps being too loose or too tight. The back strap stays put going up and down stairs (when I usually have an issue). I get all kinds of compliments on them whenever I wear them, even with the smacking.

I ordered this in the red. My first impression was that it was a cute shoe and that the red was a nice medium shade of red, but when I put it on I discovered that the ankle strap was too long. Since the manufacturer only included a limited number of holes for this strap, it could not be adjusted properly to fit my feet. Some of the other reviewers noted that the shoe was too long -- I think the length of the shoe itself is about the same as the other Dansko shoes and that the problem lies with the ankle strap.

I have large feet so I don't have near the options to choose from. I ordered the 42 because I wear a 11.5-12. These were definitely too small. Plus, they looked more like orthopedic shoes rather than stylish wedges. Will be sending back.

Beautiful shoes, and very comfortable but I could feel the stretch in the leather and it will soon become too big. Unfortunately adjusting the strap to make it tighter only pushed my foot forward.

Cute shoe but strap was too lose. Had to give to my mother who wears a size larger.

too tight. I purchased this before in the next size up, but sometimes that size feels very loose.

I really liked this sandal, but I had to send it back. My feet are long and thin, with a low arch. In regular shoes and boots I can wear an 11 to 11.5, but in sandals I find that I need a 12 in some styles to have some room at the front and the back so my feet don't overhand the heel and the toe area. To give you an idea, I have to get a 43 in Birkenstocks so that they fit right. I usually wear a medium (not narrow) with no width issues. The front straps on this sandal were a bit too loose, and the leather is so smooth, that my feet kept sliding forward, and would hang out a bit over the front of the shoe, which I hate in sandals. I have lots of issues finding shoes, and I love Zappos because I can find the sizes I need without a lot of hassle. That said, please up your selection of size 12 women's sandals, both narrow and regular widths! Lots of big-footed gals out here need your help!

Lovely looking shoe, very lightweight unlike many previous dansko models. However the crossing in the front is strange and doesn't hold my foot in and when walking my toes slide out over the front of the shoe. also, not a flattering fit on the outer edge of the shoe either. I love the look and really wanted to keep them but for the money I need a better fit.

I always wear a 39 or 8.5 in Dansko. The style is nice but the heel strap is way too loose. the leather is thin and looks to be stretchy. Sadly, I am one of those long-term Dansko lovers who has found the styles, especially for those of us who can't wear the higher heels, have gone down hill along with the quality of the materials and construction.

These shoes are very comfortable. I could imagine walking all day in them without any issues. The length was correct, but they were extremely roomy at the front. Tightening the strap just pushed my toes forward, so that wasn't a fix. They're cute, they they will have to go back.

Very cute shoe. I'm a pretty solid size eight and ordered 38. The length was perfect. I am also a medium width, but found as I walked my foot slipped forward off the toe, meaning the front two straps were too wide to hold my foot in. Sadly, will be returning.

These are super cute shoes but too big even ordering a size down. The length was fine in a size smaller, but the back strap would not fit my narrow heels, so they are going back.

Too loose in the ankle, too wide in the toe box...sort of an unusual fit for Dansko and me.

Seems like a quality shoe, but the smallest size is too big. I typically fit into a 5 and they don't make a 4, so I'm out of luck. Back they go.

I really wanted to like these shoes. Unfortunately my foot pushed forward over the top of shoe as I walked, even though I went down a size. Great looking, but fit was not right for my on the narrow side feet.

I wear a size 13, and find that these are about 1/2 inch smaller than I need. So, the only reason I am sharing this is for the buyer who can't go up one half size...I will probably return these because they are a smidge too small. I say 'probably' because they are so comfortable that I am trying to convince myself that no one will notice that they are a tad too short. Super duper comfy.
