I bought this bag as my teacher bag to replace the typical tote. It protects my laptop and iPad in the back compartment. The inside is roomy enough and sturdy enough for my 2nd graders to slide in their folders for me to grade at home. I like that the two parts are separate. I can fit about 12 student folders in at a time, more if I don't have the laptop in. There is an inner zipper pocket and a few little slots to store pens and post-it's. I don't really use the side pocket like I thought I would. It's a little small for the travel mugs I usually use. The Velcro closure is awesome because I don it have the patience to deal with the clips on the front. I would only use the clips for extra security if I was traveling. I also like that the bag holds its shape. It doesn't slouch. The bag looks professional and gets the job done. I am very pleased with the purchase.

I bought a Command Messenger Bag in Medium for myself last year which I love, my husband noticed it and wanted to steal it, but I told him I would get him his own and he could pick out the colors of the bag, which he did and I ordered a Command Messenger Bag in Medium In Blue for Christmas. So then my son said he wanted a messenger bag for Christmas too, and I knew right where to go I ordered one for him the Command Messenger Bag in black and it is a Large size (the one I am reviewing now), my son is so happy with this bag - it fits his computer and all his stuff that he needs for college. I had also bought my daughter one too when she was in college in red - the command messenger. You guys make such an awesome product - I'm sure we will buy from you again!!

I've been abusing the same Timbuk2 messenger bag since 1994 so thought I'd give this laptop bag a chance and see if anything has changed. Time will ultimately tell, but it looks like business as usual...this bag seems to be as heavy duty as my first one so I'm looking forward to not buying another one ever.

I use this beautiful/comfortable/practical bag to carry my tablet/computer along with other references as I transition from a clinic setting to the operating room.

I bought this as a gift for my girlfriend. She loves it works great for carrying all her school materials

The hooks to close the cover are a Kittle cumbersome, but aotherwise it's a well made bag that still looks brand new. Highly recommended, would buy it again.

Ordered this for my boyfriend who is a civil engineer and he absolutely loves it. Durable but stylish bag to go between construction sites and the office. Pockets for everything.

Great traveling bag. Best one I have ever.

This was a gift for my husband and we are both very satisfied with the purchase. The colors (blue and grey) are more appealing in person rather than the pictures. I was worried it would be too blue-turquoise but in fact it is nice, muted shade of blue that is perfect for my not-too-flashy husband. He put it to use instantly at the airport and was thrilled over the lightweight and having no holdups through airport security. He's recently gone back to school and I foresee a lot of studious use in this bag's future. Add in that he is an avid bike-commuter and uses it for daily commutes and this bag is now officially what we refer to as "Winner Winner Chicken Dinner". I bought this for my husband for Christmas and he was like a little kid and immediately put his work laptop (which fit perfectly) in his new bag. He has taken it on his train commute a few times and is really pleased with the bag!

Firstly, it looks really cool and modern. Appropriate for business occasions or more casual events. I use it both for long-haul flights and work - I am a teacher - and I love the endless compartments it has; great for laptop, books, documents, little items, etc. I have used it for a short time, but it looks extremely durable.

the only thing is missing is a key holder inside the interior pocket

This bag is awesome!!! it exceeds my expectation in quality and functionality. The bag looks real cool and you will get deffenitly questions what brand bag it is and compliments on the looks. It's worth every penny spend.

I ordered the medium and it was the right size for my body 5'2", but too small for all the Items i need to carry so I exchanged for the large size and it is too big for my body. Nice for a computer and just a few flat items but not quite wide enough for all the extras like lunch and such. the water bottle holder is too small for the size bottle I carry however it is very stylish, I love the look and all the compartments are in just the right spot. I will be able to use this for other things so have not sent it back.

Plenty of room for computer and much more.

We ordered the medium size for our team and had our new company logo embroidered on them. These are great bags for commuting and travel. I have carried a standard LL Bean backpack for ages and love it, but the Timbuk2 Messenger has already improved my organization.

I use this bag for everything I do. It holds quite a bit in a well protected environment. I have both a 10" iPad Pro and a new 15" MacBook Pro that fit perfectly. Over the years I have had tons of bags of which only a few every really made me happy with functionality, looks and overall performance. One prior bag met my criteria years ago and I had that bag for 4 years before wearing it out. This will be my new long term bag and I don't see it wearing out in 4 years, rather much longer. My only complaint is the swivel clips on the straps. They work well and there is nothing wrong with it. I had just found over the years that a fixed strap doesn't flip around as easily. I am forever flipping both sides around individually. If it were fixed, it wouldn't flip around as much and be easier to unclip. The strap pad is awesome. A great bag that I would highly recommend.

Very flexible storage options without making one get lost trying to find something within. Compact and comfortable to carry.

Bag is almost perfect. Only thing I would change is add a interior strap/dongel for keys

In my line of work, I typically go through a bag about every 5 years. After 1 month of use, I know this bag is different because it has still maintained its sturdy shape despite the abuse it has endured so far. The spacious medium bag is very impressive - I can pack class folders loaded with compositions, two writing workbooks, classroom essentials stowed in the pockets (hand sanitizer, a bag of white board markers, breath mints, tissues, and assorted pens), a granola bar, my cell phone, and I was still able to open the bag wider for a dictionary and a stapler. Of course the dictionary and metal stapler added some weight, but the shoulder strap is wide enough to make it comfortable to carry. Recently, I even trekked across campus in a steady downpour, but the contents remained dry. I recommend this spacious messenger bag to anyone.

There's awesome hidden compartments in this bag! There's a YouTube video describing and demonstrating all the features of this particular bag. Viewing it helped make my decision to buy very easily.

Love this bag, plenty of room for my 15" MacBook 2016 model fits in the Small size back. I have the Rip Lite and the blue offsets the gray wonderfully. I'm really impressed with all the storage in this bag. And the strap is the most comfortable strap I've ever used.

Daily commute via metro rail. If I have to run with it that extra cross chest strap feature really comes in handy. Very comfortable.

Amazing build quality, and looks. I could not have asked for a better messenger bag. The only con I see is the size, it is not terribly large but enough that it is noticeable. I did check for the best fit for my laptop by putting in the dimensions on the website and ordered the the one it suggested. More room I guess.
