I use this bag to go to and from work everyday. I have no problems walking the whole way. I was worried that the small size would be too small, but the size is perfect. Fits my laptop well, and my tablet along side it.
Spectacular bag.

As stated, this is a great bag. The shoulder strap is very comfortable and easy to adjust with no slack left over thanks their system. The bag is more geared to taking your computer to work than beers to the beach. Plenty of separate storage options for organizing which is something that other brands don't seem to realize as important. I'm not sure how often the TSA friendly part will be useful but it is nice to be able to access your computer without opening the main compartment. On that that note, the option to do without the loud Velcro closure is a more of a blessing than you realize - really helps the bag "grow up" and fit better in a professional setting.

I wanted a smaller bag for commuting on bus & train. This is perfect. Looks great too. I like the "Napoleon" pockets to store/retrieve my phone and bus pass. Great strap length and adjustment. TSA Compliant bag makes it easier to travel by plane since I don't need to remove the laptop. Would prefer a built in key chain clip like my other Timbuk2 bag. I never hesitate buying from Timbuk2. They stand behind their products and make awesome bags.

Great bag, incredible amount of storage. Perfect for commuting to work. I am a huge fan of the gigantic Napoleon pocket, which runs the entire length and width of the bag...it can easily fit a memo pad, standard iPad, among other things (like my entire arm). The TSA-friendly laptop sleeve is a huge plus, and the water bottle holder is large enough for a standard sized bottle. So glad I went with the medium bag, even though initially I thought it would be too big.

Love the bag. I had a smaller timbuk2 bag to fit my 13" laptop but recently got a 15 inch laptop. Needed a bag to accommodate the laptop. I use this bag for work. There's plenty of room to fit a water bottle, lunch bag, laptop if needed and more (cables.", wallet, etc).
Timbuk2 has great reliable products. I see tons of other peers at the hospital carrying timbuk2 bags!

It's a perfect all-rounder. Easier to organise your belongings than the classic messenger and it's smart / casual enough to be suitable for most tasks. I'm not likely to use this on my bike, as it doesn't feel that it has the durability of the classics. Its versatility makes it perfect for a night away or a bag for day to day use. I love the protection it affords my MacBook Air and all the extra compartments. The buckles on the front are attractive but fiddly and mean that you can't totally overburden it in the way you can the classic.

I LOVE this bag. Really. The only thing I find myself wishing for is a front (or flap) compartment to throw my keys into without having to open the bag. I use the side flap zipper compartment for my phone (which is AWESOME!) It is comfortable, looks great. I love that the clasps are on the bag (and so don't hang down and bang around), it is stylish, comfortable and really holds a lot. I wish you had a smaller (XS) version of this for day use (or made a hybrid of this with your transitional messenger bag). I can't tell you how delirious it makes me to have found a messenger bag with a handle and a separate compartment for my laptop. Really, it is a fantastic bag.

I needed a new laptop bag that could hold a decent amount of things. I use my laptop bag to carry lots of things in my life that I might need. I wanted one that could hold some odd shaped things (like my Beats headphones case) and this fit the bill. It is high quality and even when it is loaded to the max, the strap pad makes it feel like it isn't even on my shoulder.
Only con is that it will take you some time to figure out the hooks on the front.

I love this bag and use it every day in my Real Estate business. It holds my Macbook Air, portfolio, pens, files, and lots of other useful stuff. Not too big and works just fine! Oh, and it looks stylish too...

It was everything I expected and more. Watching the demo video really helped me get the most out it's hidden and more obvious features. It replaced a much simpler, less purpose-oriented canvass messenger bag I've used for 10 years because I'm cheap (and it was a gift). I wish I'd have bought my new Timbuktu years ago.

I love this bag. I wore my old Timbuk2 bag out and needed a replacement. After a lot of searching I found this one. Had the luxury of going to the store to try it out and really liked it. A few things with the bag have taken some getting used to but that has happened and I'm very happy. My iPhone 6 Plus fits perfectly in the quick access front pocket and I love the separate compartment for the laptop and iPad. Also how The iPad also has its own spot near the front of the bag. The flap closures are tough to get into sometimes but I saw this as good and bad. Good to keep others out. Bad because it frustrates me sometimes. But I'm working on it. My bag also will not stand on its own without help. If I place the shoulder padded strap under the from it works better. The front corners of the bag are not made to stay in an I'm an outward position. I have to reach inside the bag to make the go outward. But not a big deal.

I'm a backpack guy that is used to everything having it's compartment/place/pocket. I was a little worried at first that slimming down my bag would force me to leave some things behind but that was not the case at all. I especially like that I can get to my laptop, folders, keys, notepad, cellphone, multi-tool, and more all without flipping the top open. So I have all of that easily accessible and then plenty of additional room inside. It's also slick looking enough for my yuppy office gig while being just the right amount of different and stylish. All around great bag.

Amazing bag. Build quality is outstanding. I do a lot of travel with tech stuff, so this makes airline travel easy-peasy!
Nice long strap, easy to access everything I need, and I feel very comfortable carrying it.
As a girl techie, having a professional nice looking bag is important. This fits the bill with lots of extras.

This is a great replacement for a boring old briefcase. Durable enough to withstand whatever I throw at it but highly comfortable with loads of compartments.

I use this bag whenever I need to bring my computer with me: work or personal travel. I like the new strap system and appreciate the option of the velcro and the covers so I don't have to use the velcro if I don't want to secure the closure in that way.
I would have liked an outside side mesh panel for a water carrier and maybe a front flap zipper to access a (currently non-existent) small pocket in that flap for a cell phone, passport or other small items.

I take this bag to school every day, and absolutely love it. I got a size small, and manage to fit my 13" Macbook Pro, a textbook, a binder, a notebook, sunglasses, phone, wallet, and some odds and ends with some careful arranging. I did not want the medium because I knew I'd just fill it with more stuff that I didn't really need.
The quality is great, and I love the gray tweed with red detail. I rely on this bag, and wouldn't part with it!

Tokyo's a city where everyone -- man, woman, and child -- carries a bag, and I've been no exception for the past decade that I've been living here. I got my first Command Messenger when they first came out for sale here, and I've been a fan ever since (this one is my third).
I really like the updates in this model. The extra side pocket in the top flap is useful, as is the "power brick pocket" in the side. The strap has been redesigned to slim down the bulky cinch that was on previous models, which is a pleasant change as the old one tended to sit in uncomfortable places across my admittedly over-ample chest.
The best change, though, is the resigned front clasps. Previous models had straps that would swing free, particularly if the bag wasn't particularly full. It happened more than once that I had to call into my office because the strap had got itself wedged in under my motorbike seat during the ride to work and I needed somebody to come downstairs and untie me. This clearly won't happen with the new design.
I do miss the keychain leash that was on old models; I guess maybe I'll take it out of my old bag and tie it into this one somewhere.
