I got a Timbuk2 command messenger bag for a while now and it is simply great. The medium bag is actually not too big, so if you have a larger laptop, you need to measure it more carefully. Even though you pay a little more for the commnand, it looks a bit more stylish. I used it for work everyday. It looked cool, stylish and still very presentable, if I do have to travel to important meetings with them.

Great messenger bag with all the features you need. Well made, warrantied, and at fair cost. Buy one for life, you won't be disappointed.

We use them daily for back and forth to the office. But, we also use them for travel with laptop and docs.

Use this as a teacher and love the size and all the zippers and pockets. Not huge but not too small. Really durable materials all around.

I need a sturdy bag for my work as a graduate student. The Command Messenger Bag holds my laptop, books, and notes, and looks good doing it.

We use it daily to transport everything necessary to work from home or office. It's really convenient when traveling and going through security...no need to remove laptop from bag, just a quick unzip and the bag lays flat for inspection. Easy-peasy!

I use this bag to carry my stuff to and from the high school where I work. Returning to school has been daunting but this bag makes my commute go smoothly. It's well made, roomy with just the right amount of compartments. I no longer have to be envious of my daughter's Timbuk2 bag.

I use this mainly as a regular briefcase (lunchbox), but it will be well-suited for use on the bike when my commute does not involve driving other people around - the reflective stripes are a welcome feature in that respect. I am very happy with the velcro-plus-metal-hook closure system, also the pad on the shoulder strap. The only thing I don't like are the zipper pulls that make noise whenever I carry the bag - that is something I am going to have to modify.

I was looking for a messenger bag that had space, looked professional, and was vesital. I found it! It is big enough to fit all things I need to carry to my clients, looks great, and can be carried on my shoulder or across my chest. Straps to hide velcro for cover is a great option too. Pockets upon pockets, great to secure items. Love the bag.

Got this on a sitewide discount deal, but I believe I would've saved up to get it otherwise. Great bag that holds everything i need and seems to be even good for a day trip, if you pack correctly.

Command Messenger bag fits my needs for use in the field, varied weather conditions, travel, and meetings that require big fat binders. All the while, looking polished and feeling secure. The bag is very well designed with travel in mind and so robust. Love the red interior as it helps to see items. I've had other Timbuktu bags over the years and this one is another favorite. Plus, I scored it on sale!

Daily use for medical professional who needs access to computer and notes on a regular basis. Compartments are perfect size. ~15 inch laptop actually fits in the medium size, I measured to make sure it would fit. Looks professional despite being a slightly more casual bag. This is the 2015 model, so I would love to see what improvements are made moving forward. Adjustable straps on the front are also great.

The functionality of this bag is second to none. Great pockets, easy access, they thought of nearly everything. I wish it was a bit smaller as the Small is still a fairly large bag.

This is a great product that looks great and is very durable. This is the second Timbuk2 bag that I have bought. My son is using my previous bag, it is 5 years old, but it still looks like new and I just wanted a change.

I had my first bag for about 7 years. I ordered a new one only because I wanted something fresh, not because it was falling apart or there was anything wrong with it; these bags are built to last. The Command Bag adds new pockets and clasps, plus a great updated design.

This is my 3rd Timbuk2 bag. I used my last one for 8 years!!! Being an NYC commuter, my standards on bags are super high. This bag is beautifully constructed! They Napoleon pockets provide quick access to those items you need most. I always recommend Timbuk2 whenever the topic of laptop bags comes up!

I love this bag. It obviously was designed by someone who read my mind. It has multiple zippered pockets for cell phones , cord ,keys etc.... The laptop and tablet are accessible without opening the bag. The Velcro strips have silencers, which is a godsend to my fellow sleepy commuters. All in all a amazing bag. This is my 3rd bag from Timbuk2. Very,very, pleased.

Really like the bag and all of its features- some where a surprise as they had not been mentioned in the description. One of the best features to me was color of interior of bag(red) which I only found from reading other reviews.Quality is impressive and I expect to get many years of use from it.

This is such a smart-looking and smartly-designed bag! All of the gadgets work as advertised. The Napoleon pocket on the "rear" edge could be a bit roomier (and with a larger opening), but perhaps I just need to rearrange my bits. IMHO, this strikes the perfect balance between relevant and professional for a doctorate-level professor (in her mid-50s) in So Cal. I'm a fan! I'd be a SUPER-fan if Timbuk2 would sell me some of those aluminum clip thingies so I can modify my fishing vest... :)

I was looking for a versatile bag that wouldn't cost me an arm and a leg to buy. I found that that in the Command Messenger Bag. I love the look, the feel, and it has more than enough pockets to carry all the things I need.

So I'm a bag guy, and having something that fits my needs and looks nice is important. I've been looking for the right bag for a long time and finally landed on this one. Good compartments, we'll made, big enough without being too big. It's a solid bag with all the accessories needed for a working human who also travels.

I am 53 years old and have been through all the phases of brief cases, backpacks, high-end Tumi leather bags - You name it! I previously had tried a Tumi messenger bag. The lack of accessible outside pockets and difficult buckles made it a pain to use, but I liked the form factor. I did a good deal of research and came across the Command Messenger. I commute and walk a good deal in the city and also travel quite a bit. This bag is deceptively big, holding lots of stuff (as much as my big Tumi Safe Case). Yet, it is super light (even carrying my Lenovo X1 Extreme with a big power block). I really like the styling. I got the black bag with red strap and accents, which helps me not forget it... I especially like the red interior liner, that helps me more clearly see my things. This is a great messenger and I am extremely pleased with the purchase!

This is my work bag. It is with me where ever I go. Durability and plenty of space are its main points. This is the second messenger bag from TIMBUK2 I've owned. I will not purchase any other bag.
