I love these shoes. I have wide feet and I though my feet measure an 8, I typically order a 9 (imperfect remedy, but 'wide' widths tend to be too large/sloppy in the heel). I read the reviews here (thank you to those who write reviews) and ordered both size 9 and size 8.5. I kept the 8.5. For those who have 'average' width feet, I imagine these run about one size large. Those with wide feet, maybe order 1/2 size down. These are going to be among my favorite summer sandals, very comfy while adding a bit of height, which I like.

Although I am returning these sandals, I'd still rate them 5 stars right out of the box. My skin tone is very pale and the color I ordered (taupe) was very blah against my skin. I thought they looked more pink and iridescent online so they would stand out more, but they were actually more on the grey scale, with three different shades of pale grey/taupe. They are lovely and so comfortable however, and the quality is topnotch. If you have a tan or darker skin, I think they would look great. I'd pair these with a flare jean and tank top for sort of a boho look, if that's a look you like wearing. The footbed seemed like it would be very comfortable to wear for long periods of time, for example a trip through a museum or a day of shopping.

These feel great right out of the box. I love the soft color, and the slight iridescence of part of the straps. I wear an 8½ usually in sandals, because I run narrow (9 in regular shoes) and I hope that my toes do not begin to push out at the front due to that! The fit, and support and perfect height are making me keep them anyway! I do not think that they will do that due to the support of the straps higher on the foot and ankle. They are sturdy and a bit stylish, and have a fabulous footbed.

Finally, sandals that are cute and comfortable! I love them! These sandals run large. You may need to size down half or even a full size.

My first pair of Ahnu and won't be my last. These are chic and super comfortable! Best feature is the raised toe-bar. Love the gladiator style and perfect wedge height. I'll be wearing these sandals vacationing around London for a week with casual shorts or cute maxi dresses. Runs about a half size larger (I usually wear 8 1/2 but purchased the 8 in Brandy). Not a deal breaker for me...but the back heel zipper clinkity-clanks with every step.

I usually wear 7.5/38 but these feel like 8 or 8.5 and the straps are very loose. So while the shoes are cute and comfy I might have to try 1/2 or a full size smaller.

These sandals are super comfortable and also cute. They are lightweight, has cushioning, and the footbed is contoured for support. I did need to order 1/2 size down to get the length and able area snug enough for comfort. Planning to take them on my next vacation!

Great shoe! I have narrow feet and have a hard time finding shoes. These are comfortable and not too "earthy" looking. Like others, I went down about 1/2 size.

I love these sandals! They are very comfortable and stylish! Unfortunately I have feet with bunions that are very hard to shop for. I really was hoping these shoes would work but my bunions poke thru and rub.

My new favorite shoe. I love them. I did pay attention to the other reviews and ordered a half size smaller and they fit perfect. I can wear them all day and be comfortable. Nothing hurts!! I am all about comfort and style.

I can't believe how comfortable these are, and I walk about 5 miles a day in NYC. I've had bad luck with sandals generally this year, each pair giving me blisters all over (Uggs, Birkenstocks, and Eileen Fisher brands). I bought these skeptically because of all the straps, but they are loose enough that they don't rub at all. And for me the sizing was perfect. I'm an AHNU fan generally, and these are great.

I bought these sandals for comfort and style. I have an issue with my left foot that often makes walking and fashion clash! These are great! Comfortable, well designed, and they are very stylish! the height and design of the shoe itself gives my foot room and support where needed! Will complement any casual summer outfit! Very happy with this purchase!

Stylish and gorgeous, and yet comfortable. Love the zipper in the back, and the color of the sole. Half size down is a good choice.

These sandals were so immediately comfortable, it was almost eerie. They are adorable and are perfect for work, yet I feel like I'm wearing slippers when I put them on. The only minor complaint - and this is a bit nit-picky - is that the zipper in the back hits the back of the shoe when I walk. I've gotten used to this, but at first it was slightly annoying.

Awesome!!! I'm usually an 8.5 and I ordered an 8 based on reviews and it fits great. A little tight, but after wearing for a little they felt great. Super comfortable!

I love these shoes. They are super comfortable and stylish. With the zip up back and strappy ankles, I thought I made a mistake when they were the only shoes I brought for a long walking tour. I envisioned terrible blisters, but these beautiful shoes were kind to my feet. I am glad I purchased them.

LOVE these shoes! Love Ainu! I have worn nothing but Dansko for about 5 years due to planters fasciitis and I have finally found a brand of shoes other than Dansko that I can wear. This is my second pair of Ahnus and I love them. The width and size is true to what I wear.

The shoe is very wide and runs large. There is a chemical smell that permeates from the the shoe bed and the back zipper comes up very high and made it uncomfortable when I walked, digging into my heel. Thank goodness for Zappos' return policy, because they are going back.

I wear a 10.5,have a wide foot, plantar fascia & metatarsaliga issues and I use a "half" orthotic.This shoe surprisingly works very well for me. Before this I stuck with flat shoes, but this shoe has a sort of rolling motion that takes the pressure off of my toes and my toes have plenty of room. I have this shoe in 3 colors now and love it! Very cute also with the zipper in the back.

I was looking for a neutral colored sandal that was comfortable and beautiful--this is the only sandal I've found that does it all, and it does it beautifully. If I could give six stars, I would (there should be a bonus star for doing it all). I hope Ahnu will begin to design a lot more than hiking boots--I'll certainly be watching for new designs.

These shoes are so comfortable! I bought them for an upcoming trip to Spain and I needed comfortable walking shoes with a little heal that also looked modern. I'm a little worried about the high back and that it will start to rub after a long day of walking; but it's hard to test that out ahead of time. I think if it starts bothering me I can unzip the back and I should be OK. I'm so glad I discovered this brand!

I don't think that I have ever commented on any purchase but I LOVE these shoes! I have a lot of foot/ankle issues so comfort is a big deal, the fact that these shoes are so cute is just a bonus!!

Love this shoe. Fits beautifully with room for my toes to spread and heel to be centered without being too wide in the arch area. The heel height is perfect for me. Taking this to Italy. An 11 in Born fits me well. I have a narrow heel and my toes like wiggle room.

Great looking, comfortable shoe. I have had a hard time finding a stylish shoe that I can walk in and go out at night in. This is it. It runs about a 1/2 size large, so go down. I never write reviews, but for all of us travelers who don't want to carry a suitcase of shoes, this is *the* shoe. Even my hubs likes it and he hates "comfort" shoes. :) Daytime hiking, rinse, go out at night. Looks great with anything. No rubbing or blistering.
