alright fam, I'm writing this review three years after my initial purchased bc these Docs have been THAT good to me. In the beginning it famously took about a week and half, plus two rubbed raw heels, to feel like the shoe fit my feet comfortably and snugly -- but they're truly worth the pain (& blood.) From then on these shoes have done snow, rain, sand, multiple music festivals, bar crawls and then some. They've kept INCREDIBLY well despite these natural and unnatural elements, and they're my absolute go-tos. I still get compliments from friends, and have recommended them to people in at least 5 states. Yes, they're a little chunky/make me heavy footed but the cushioned soles, and material's perseverance easily nullify the one qualm. If you're looking for a fully versatile combat boot that can kick it with friends on a night out, or make an office outfit feel more industrious I 11/10 recommend.

I'm quite pleased with these boots. Zappos did a good job of displaying them on the site and they arrived quickly, as is typical great Zappos service, exactly the way I had thought they would. No surprises whatsoever. I'm a longtime Docs wearer, so I was not surprised by the fit. Although, I will say that these fit just a little better than my previous Docs. I have a narrow foot and a narrower heel but have not had any trouble with blisters in the heel or footbed of the boots during the week I've had them. Some people say that they feel broken in after a couple of days. I disagree. I've had them a week and the uppers still feel quite stiff. In fact, I've got one blister just above my ankle where the top of the shoe rubs without giving. I expect some break in with any boot, so I'm not especially turned off by this. The boot is light good for summer weight. I'll be getting something more substantial for the winter, but these are well suited for warmer weather. They look good too. A very good purchase for he price.

My job requires me to wear slip resistant shoes. Were given a reimbursement every 6 months for shoes purchased outside the standard company catalog filled with ugly shoes as long there approved by human resources. Dr martens is one of the few brands I'm allowed to wear. I fell in love with these shoes and decided to give them a chance. The over style and the description if being slip resistant lead me to make the purchase. These shoes are light, flexible and cushion my feet during a long 8 hour shift. Everything is great expect the sole. In the beginning they wear amazing. I could walk on oil and be safe. Sadly after a couple months I noticed the threads and grips have worn down on the sole and now I find myself slipping sometimes. It hasn't eve been 6 months yet for me to buy another pair snd get reimbursed!

I like wearing these. Compliments everywhere I go. They do need time to break in. Wear thick socks. I ordered a full size smaller than my normal shoe size and I'm glad I did. They're very comfortable now and are well made. I like them a lot!

Anybody who is looking to buy these should definitely size down. I am a size 10 in nike and 9.5 in converse. I originally bought a size 10 but had to exchange for a size 9.

Best pair of docs I've ever owned. Highly recommend Only note is they are not water resistant, your feet will get wet.

I enjoy these boots so much I'm contemplating buying another pair already. They fit my slightly wide feet really well and are very comfortable. I was looking for an all synthetic boot for personal reasons and these are great. They feel very sturdy and have kept my feet warm so far. I would recommend a boot sock or thicker athletic sock for comfort.

I love these boots. I ordered a size down from what I usually order my Doc's in. They are so light and comfortable. I get the classic Doc look but with a lot more versatility and agility.

These are very comfortable shoes. I use them as dress shoes at work (business casual), and these are the most comfortable dress up (not as comfortable as my hunting boots, but I cant wear those to work) shoes ever! Sizing runs closer to athletic shoes than to dress shoes. I wear a size 12 dress shoe and the 12 Docs are to small. 13 fits perfect (athletic shoe size). The arch is not to large that it gets in the way of my orthotics. Break in is quick, 3 days and was wearing standard thickness socks.

Super stylish and comfy shoe with great support. Can wear all year round, and looks nicer than high top sneakers. It’s become my go to!

Love these dr martens! I like that they are a more breathable material. I am a womens 8 and ordered an 8 and these were way too big for me! Had to return and exchange for a 7. Exchange process was super easy.

Love these docs! They are more giving they regular leather docs. I am normally woman 8 and I bought a woman’s 8 and they are too big! Bummed cause they don’t have anything smaller!

So I originally ordered a size 9 because that’s what I wear but, when I got them they were to big. So I exchanged them for and 8 and they are waaayyy better. I advise to get one size smaller that what you normally wear. I promise!!!

I wear a 9 and at first I ordered a 9 and they were waaaayyy to big. Glad Zappos offers free exchange. I ordered and 8 and they are perfect. So make sure to size down one size than what you normally wear…. Trust me!!

These boots are super cute.! I love the style and they are comfy. I wear a 9 in any other shoe… so I ordered a 9… should have got an 8. So my review to you is size down… seriously!!! Unless you will wear thicker socks????. But overall would buy again!

I am in between size 7 and 8. I decided on 7s and they fit perfectly. Highly recommend.

My son says At first shoes were very stiff but after wearing them for a couple of days the shoes start to form to his foot, saw him a couple of weeks after purchase and I asked him how shoes fit now, he says they are now comfortable to wear

Just perfect!

I did have to order one size smaller than my normal sneaker size. First time I stuck my foot in the boots I said no way and almost sent them back. The fit felt a little weird at first. But I liked them so much that I decided to give them a chance and by day two they started breaking in nicely and taking shape to my foot. So glad I gave them a chance!

Bought these for my husband as a gift and he loved them. They go with casual clothes and can be dressed up as well. I love how these look on him!

Very comfortable and may turn out to be a good work shoe but I’m still on the fence about keeping these because they just aren’t feminine enough for me. If the color was lighter I could tolerate the manly look of the boot a little better. We will see! The sole is outstanding . I prefer more of a platform, but not as much as the stylish Dr Marten’s. Overall a very worthy boot.

These are ridiculously comfortable, and fit perfectly. I'm not experiencing the painful break in period with these - love them! The charcoal color is dark enough to appear black. Awesome purchase!

I saw these Docs in the Men's department at a local shoe store, and had the store order them in my size (about a women's 7). These shoes are the bomb. They are incredibly comfortable, and slightly chunky in a stylish sort of way. I wore these all through the fall and winter, and are comfortable enough to wear all day. Great traction on the bottom for walking through snow and rain. They are also roomy enough to wear some wool socks under in the winter. These are absolutely my go-to shoe right now and I highly recommend!
