I was really looking forward to trying the Gizeh style in the platform format. I'm short and was hoping to gain that extra inch without sacrificing comfort. Unfortunately it is just not the same comfort level as the traditional Gizeh. The platform turns a comfortable shoe into a clunk to drag around. It felt heavy and clunky on my feet. So sad to be sending back...

These are terrible. I bought them in December for my trip to Mexico with the family over New Years Eve and they were the only sandals I brought besides heels. I’ve owned two pairs of Birks that have always been super comfortable and no prob wearing right away, not this pair. They were stiff and gave me terrible blisters near my first two toes on both feet. I covered them up with band aids and hoped they would get better but nope, worse. Had to walk barefoot to the pool and beach most days. Not sure where the brand Papillion fits into Birkenstock but I’d say don’t buy them.

Have worn Birkenstocks and Papillio for years and was very excited to receive the metallic, platform Gizeh. Size was just a bit smaller than my others but shoe (metallic part) had several dings, scuffs, and pin pricks on both. Sole was clean, so I assume the Birkenstock quality reviewer was asleep at the wheel as surfaces in that condition should never be sent out. Zappos was great about the return and the expediated shipping I paid to receive.

Not a good fit for my arch- it had me rocking back and forth to find a comfortable fit. I don’t think that wearing them would have ever broken them in unfortunately.

Didn't like the fit. Stiff and bulky. Was looking forward to a new look but the platform make it uncomfortable.

I LOVE these shoes! Best Birkenstock’s I’ve ever had! The platform soles provide more rigid support than my regular Birks. They’re a little more narrow, and I was worried about that, but it’s more snug, and I like that. I have flare-ups with plantar fasciitis and I’m recovering from a broken toe. The firmer footbed and more snug fit of these birks as compared to my 3-strap Florida birks is so great! I want the firm platform sole on all my Birks now!

These shoes are so classy. Dress up or down. I saw some reviews that complained about fit They are stiffer than the traditional Gizeh (I’m attributing that to the platform??) but I think I just need to break them in. Love that I can be taller I’m comfortable sandals.

I wanted to love these shoes. They are very cute and stylish. Unfortunately the sole is too stiff and the toe piece is a hard thick plastic that hurts. I wear flip flops daily but these are ridiculously thick and hard between the toes.

these shoes were incredibly comfortable- I just couldn't deal with all that white. I found a black pair online- unfortunately Zappos no longer carried the black color.

I love Birkenstock classic sandals. I was hoping the white platform on these would be cushioning and shock absorbing. Instead, the sole is more rigid and less comfortable.

This shoe could have been great! The platform for extra height and the style are a plus. However, the fit and comfort is another thing. This show is too narrow and the thong piece fits weird around the big toe. It’s like the strap has been positioned toward the side of the outer foot instead of in the middle. Just a weird fit but is cute on, just too tight and bad fitting. ?

Love the style and color. Unfortunately, they were heavy and caused blistering at the arch for feet with low to no arch after 2 uses.

Loved these online ordered a 36 for my size 6 foot - same size I wear in Birkenstock Papillio different style and the Birkenstock Arizona sandals and these were quite long. Toe bar hit between toes properly but way too much from there - like they're made for someone with really long toes.

These are NOT Birkenstock but Papillio. The platform is too high and way too heavy. I am returning them!
