Customer Reviews J-41 Milan - Barefoot

Temptation yields to better sense than to make the same mistake three times! I love J-41 shoes but the uppers always wear out before the soles, which continue to look brand new! This is most vexing and I wish there was a way to convey to your designers to use a sturdier material that can withstand the upper wear and tear as well, if not better than the soles. I cried when I threw away a pair that wore out upper part in one year while the soles were barely worn. This is a waste of money and overall,a very poor choice, to have experienced this twice. I appreciate more than I can express, minimizing my carbon footprint, but this is ridiculous and I know you can do better. Work on this, OK?

Beautiful, lightweight, packable, versatile-- but too roomy for my narrow foot. Even with the adjustable band, my long, narrow feet were swimming. I wish comfortable didn't always have to mean wide! This shoe would work well for someone with a wider foot, especially a wider forefoot. Great cushioning and sole would make this perfect for sight-seeing and a working-on-your-feet shoe if the width suited.

I am very pleased with my purchase of the J-41 Milan! Comfort and adequate support are very important for me in a shoe, but I still want something cute and stylish! These shoes definitely fit both of those needs. I have a wider foot and hereditary bunions and the shoe fits nicely and is not too tight across the top of my foot. I also adore the color, perfect for fall!

This is a great shoe, I really loved them or so I thought 8 hours ago. I really believed I found a close second to my champion brand biker type mary janes, but after wearing them for 8 hours today, they made my heel tendons hurt. I'm sad to say I will need to return these also.

These little shoes are adorable. I wish they had not dug in at my heel, though, and I am sending back for that reason. The toe and middle fit well and the foot bed is very comfortable, albeit with little arch support to speak of. They are dainty and cute, and they fit my support socks that I wear at work. The little pop of color is fun and unexpected, but not enough to cause them not to coordinate. The heel digging in to my Achilles tendon was the deal breaker.

want to second the comments of the first reviewer. J-41 has really figured out how to make a comfortable shoe, the most comfortable I have ever owned. The look is cute and stylish. However, just like the other reviewer, I noticed the tops wear out way too fast, especially with the mesh styles. Zappos won my permanently loyalty by allowing me to return a pair of j-41's that had the mesh pull out in about a month. But will I buy more j-41's? Probably yes because the footbed is incredibly comfortable AND it is removable and can be thrown in the wash. I hope this message somehow gets to them because they have a great product that just needs a little work on the upper.
