The shoes skated and maintained their original form really well. My feet are wide, so the shape of my skate shoes torque and become mis shaped after a week. The fact that these shoes maintained their form is really important to me. I am extremely satisfied with the Ellington, which are as timeless, tough, rad and as stylish as Erik himself.

One of my favorite pairs of shoes I've ever bought! Owned almost a year now and wear them almost daily and they still look and feel like new.

Awesome shoe if you're looking to skate a shoe with a little more padding and heel cushioning. Grip is awesome too.

Great shoe. Good looks, good fit, comfortable. Wanted to get two pair but these sold out fast every where---even the overseas markets sold out of these fast.

I picked these up because I love gum soles and it was just a nice clean shoe. Took some getting used to when skating like any pair would.. I have weird archs but I experienced some pain in my right arch (front foot).. the pair lasted about 90 days before there was a hole to my sock on the ball of my right foot. Push toe is gone too. And if I skated flats more often I bet the flip toe would have been gone a minute ago... over all these have style and small amounts of padding for comfort but when it comes to durability its weak!

The sun makes the leather super hot and the shoes do not breathe, so I could not skate in them. I would not recommend these shoes as the leather is extremely stiff and after a few weeks of wearing them, not skating in them, the heel is coming apart. For $85+ the shoe should not be this poorly made. I don't know what the suede ones feel like just these pure leather ones, based on the feel of the shoe I would say it is comfy and if they were more easy to break in I bet they would be great skate shoes. Opt for suede not leather, I chose to be stylish and it bit me in the rear. Happy skateboarding!
