I have about 15 pairs of Naots, shoes, boots and sandals. I wear a 41 in Naots, and usually the Koru line is too wide for me (these are in the Koru line). These are not - they are just right on my narrow to medium feet. Also, there is no extra length anymore in the size 41. I think they are getting gradually shorter, tho these still fit my 9½ size feet. I always wear a 9½ in other shoes, never larger! So beware that if your feet are on the wide side of medium or the long side of 9½, these may be too snug. I have plenty of width for my wideish toes and can pull the Velcro closure shut to custom fit each foot (one's longer than the other). So there is a lot of flexibility in the fit of these shoe/sandals. I also like the pewter color because it's not as dark as black and good for all four seasons. A bit dressy, a bit casual. I will wear these a lot. I love them! I would really love more colors to wear them all year round as shoe/sandals - red, denim blue, navy blue, purple, coral, tan, bronze, gold, white, you name it, I would consider buying them. There is very good arch support, as always in Naots. These are as attractive and all-purpose as shoes as Kayla are as sandals! That is a good thing!

Having many foot issues, bunions, arthritis and planta fasciitis, I ordered this Naot Arataki sandal in the grey, also ink color. They're very soft leather and so comfortable. The other colors, black, Arizona tan and green didn't feel as comfortable,the leather was stiff, so they were returned. I wear a 9-9.5, I ordered a 10 (41). I hope Naot will offer summer colors in this shoe.

This is the first review I've written. I feel moved to write about this shoe in particular and the Naot brand in general. I LOVE shoes. Naot is my favorite brand. They're high quality, fit well, and have style. The Arataki is very comfortable, has good arch support and is practical. Surprisingly, the sea green goes with many things and is a bit sassy. They're my new go-to shoe. These shoes are good on days when your toes don't look quite good enough for public display.

I love these shoes and they are probably the most comfortable pair I own. Here are my helpful comments: they are a bit narrow and seem to run a little small BUT THEY STRETCH! I typically take a size 5 or Euro 35. Size 36 is always too big even though they are supposed to be the equivalent of 5 or 5 1/2. I originally got the 36 because surprisingly the 35 felt a bit small, but they stretched! After a while (and it was a while- maybe a year) they were flopping around on my feet. I loved them so much I gave the still-in-great-shape 36s to my mom (typically a 6 1/2 and they fit perfectly on her) and ordered a 35. So glad I did! They look a little bit small but now I know they will stretch and they are SO comfortable! I also love that they came in navy- hard to find!

I ordered the shoes, then went back and carefully read the review by MfromCO (wrong order, I know...), then quickly ordered the only pair available a size larger. Like M, I've been happily wearing Naot sandals and shoes for several years. I've always been favorable impressed by their comfort, their longevity, and their style. Every pair of Naots that I've worn has had very good to excellent arch support -- a quality that I now truly appreciate: supports almost as well as Birkenstocks, with a far more fashionable range of styles. I consistently wear a 10M in US shoes, and have worn a 41 in Naot. These shoes, in 41, were just too snug. The 42s fit comfortably, but seemed to be cut slightly narrower than other pairs of Naots that I've owned in the past. The pewter/grey shimmer color is beautiful -- and will make a welcome change from the pile of black shoes in my closet. It's subtle -- not flashy -- and will go nicely with pretty much every thing: from casual dresses to summer slacks to jeans. These shoes are expensive -- but their quality,comfort, style, and versatility will make them well worth the money if they last as long as my other shoes from Naot have. I highly recommend these shoes -- but agree with MfromCO that you should size up if you are on the larger and/or wider end of the range for your size.

Comfortable to wear right out of the bag. Yes, I said bag! Great look for those wanting a closed toe sandal. Just the moderate arch support that I expect from NAOT shoes. Light weight and can be dressed up or down. While I like these shoes very much, I am not happy with how the shoes were packaged. Paying full price for shoes, I do not expect them to be shipped in a plastic bag. See attached photo for the way I received the package.

I love these shoes. They are referred to as sandals in the description but they are good three season shoes in the southeast USA. I bought the gray shimmer color. The shimmer is minimal and is not overdone/ unattractive.

I love this shoe. Its so comfortable, I bought it for my trip to Spain as a walking shoe. I own several pairs of Naots, I;m not sure why I bother buying any other brand. I highly recommend this brand and this style.

I bought these to wear to Rome on a vacation. They were perfect! They conformed immediately to my feet. Looked great, and were amazingly comfortable. I walked all over the place, up and down the Colosseum, over cobblestones, rocks, all over the Vatican, and so forth. They couldn't have been better. Pricy, but no regrets.

Very comfortable sandals. Agree with other reviewers that you should order one size larger than your normal. The removable insole is just as comfortable as my orthotic. It has good arch support and a firm heel. The seafoam green color is exactly as pictured. Wear with dresses jeans or capris.

I’ve decided that Naot is the only brand I need. The workmanship and styling of this brand is just great. However, I must admit this shoe was a bit disappointing. I found the outsole too flexible and the arch support rather soft for city street walking. Although otherwise well constructed, I donated them in hopes that someone else will be able to enjoy them.

I have worn these before and it used be very comfortable . This new pair felt cheap, the top front was too loose, and my felt feet had no cushion or padding . I have tie neuroma and this new version of this shoe made it really bad .. I could barely walk after using for a short time . Not worth the price

These shoes feel wonderful, can wear them for hours. I’m 82 and have some of the distortions of old women’s feet, but not ready to give up all levels of attractiveness. These shoes are pretty good looking and don’t make me feel as if I’m in Old Woman Comfort Shoes.

Recently my foot size has changed and my long time go-to brands and styles no longer work. My toes are average width but my heels are very narrow. I tried several brands and styles, sometimes ordering two different lengths and widths in the same shoe. Nothing worked. I decided to buy this shoe because it is adjustable without really looking like it is. They fit perfectly. Plenty of toe room and I can adjust the back strap to fit my narrow heels. They are very comfortable. I wore them for a 10 hour work day right away with no problem. I even walked an extra mile that day for exercise! I loved them so much, I immediately ordered another pair in the ink color. Note: I thought the ink color would be a dark navy, but it really looks black to me. Anyway, I think these shoes are attractive enough to wear for any casual environment. I wear them with skirts, too.

These Naot sandals are super comfy and I purchased them for my upcoming trip to Europe. They will be used for lots of walking and are cute enough to wear with a dress or skirt.

These are nice shoes, I'd call them a narrowish medium. Ok for me, but might not work for others. What I'm not so thrilled with, is the soles are thin, and as such, aren't good for lots of standing or walking.

I was excited to get these shoes as I thought that I could wear them with shorts or even dressed up... I found the well-made, but they didn't have enough arch support we without my custom insoles. However these shoes are wonderful that you can take there in so that put yours in. But when I did, is it enough cushion and the shoes. These are very expensive and I wish that they made them with more shock absorbency properties so that you could just put your custom install in and be able to wear them comfortably. I did try to put my custom insoles are there insoles, but then the shoe was too tight as there wasn't enough depth to do this. So here's the bottom line. The shoes are very lovely and well-made if you don't have extremely fussy feet....but if you need a lot of cushion and your own insoles...these might not be comfortable enough...sorry to have to send these lovely shoes back!

Loved the shoe....almost!. The fit was good. The insole is so soft, like butter. Arch support is moderate, good enough. The shoe is stylish, the sage green is that grayish green that would go with a lot of different colors. I really wanted to keep these, but for me there just wasn't enough cushion under the metatarsal heads, the ball of the foot. I don't think I would be able to walk in these for several hours without pain in the distal foot.

My shoe size is 81/2/. I always struggle with whether to order a 40 or 39. In this case I'm returning the 40 as it is just too long. I've reordered the shoe in 39 and am very happy with it.

Same fit as Matai. I wear 11.5 and these are perfect! Keep making size 43. Only a few Naot come that large.

I wanted a shoe to wear when walking all day in a city - something that would look nice with any outfit. I also wanted a shoe with a removable footbed. These fit the bill. With the footbed that comes with the shoe, my foot is just the tiniest bit too long for a 39. But when I substituted the VIONIC Oh Relief Full Length Orthotic in a Small, the fit was perfect. No rubbing, no discomfort - just a perfect shoe for walking all day. I tried a larger size because the Naot website says to order up a size if you wear a half size. Since I wear a 8.5, I tried the green in a 40 - they were out of stock in the 39 green. The color green is gorgeous but the shoe was too long. I'm sticking with the lighter beige color which comes in a 39.

These are very attractive, comfortable shoes, inside and out. I thought from the reviews that I needed to order a larger size and width, but think that my actual shoe size would have been the best choice for my feet..

I love these sandals. Very comfortable and versatile... can wear with shorts, jeans, casual skirts and pants. The moderate arch support and cushioned footbed make this a sandal to wear all day. The outsole is rubber; it flexes where it needs to and is very stable on tiled surfaces, so I don't worry about slipping. They fit me perfectly- I usually wear 8.5 dress shoe and an 8 medium in sandals (I have a more narrow-ish medium width foot). I bought the caramel leather and they look as pictured. A quality shoe I can see wearing a lot during these looong Arizona summers and lasting for a long time. I also have the Pixie and the Dorith and love them as well.

These shoes are so comfortable! I’m on my feet all day for work and have a bunion on one of my feet. The toe box is wide enough to not bother it though. The shoes were a bit price but it has felt worth it for the comfort.

Beautiful rich brown leather in these elegant closed-toe sandals (which aren't easy to find). A refined version of fisherman's sandals. The foot bed, like all Naots, is incredible--soft, sculpted to the foot, and supportive. While it nicely accommodated my wider toebox, I did feel a little slipping at the heel, but that's on me and my skinny heels. Ultimately, I returned them because of the price, keeping a less expensive, though still comfortable (not as comfortable as Naot, but fine) pair of similar sandals by another maker (Earth).
