New Balance has always been my favorite athletic shoe, whether for walking or running. I first started wearing them because they seemed to be the only athletic
shoe that offered 4E widths! But then I started reading about them and how they started out making orthopedic shoes, I've never bought another brand since, they always fit right, always comfortable

I like a wide and rounded toe box. Too many shoes are now made to look "cool", but don't conform to the natural shape of ones forefoot. These are one of the few models that I could find that give the front of the foot plenty of room, especially when on your feet for long hours. Great shoes !!

I bought these shoes to let me work on my feet for up to my 12 hour days at the liquor store. They're comfortable and supportive enough to make that feasible. Sized properly to fit my narrow width feet. Lace up snugly for good support and lack of movement in the shoe. Very comfortable and supportive for long days on my feet. I'll probably buy another in a different color.

I started with the older model of these, the 811 back in the dark ages. I was so disappointed when you retired those and went to the 813. The toe box was originally narrower than the 811 but you listened to the surveys and they are more comfortable again! The sneakers built on the SL-2 last are so wonderful and keep me on my feet longer. Thank you New Balance!

As a longtime buyer of the model 812, I am very impressed with the improved version #813.
The longer padded tongue keeps it up and straight. The overall shape prevents excess heel movement without pressing on my ankle bones.
Good lateral support and ample toe box will make me repeat customer.

I've used New Balance's walking shoes for quite a few years. I "upgraded" to this one not quite a year ago, and like it even better. It is an excellent, comfortable shoe. The only drawback (not a rating detraction) is that the shoe laces often come untied. If I had any recommendation, it would be for New Balance to use a different material on their laces that grips better when tied. Again, an excellent walking shoe and definitely recommended.

I wear New Balance Model 813 hook and Loop shoes every day. I have three pairs which I rotate. They are very comfortable and give me great support. The Hook and Loop closures are great for a person with arthritis.

My son has Down syndrome, which causes him to have flat feet. His physical therapist suggested these shoes with 'roll bar' technology. She said that they would help his feet and be more economical than orthotics. We have been using them for years and they work great. The 'roll bar' shoes are the only ones we buy for him. They come in a couple of styles so can be dressier, casual, or walking/running. I highly recommend roll bar shoes.

I bought these for my husband, and he' s very happy with them. He last pair he bought were at the New Balance store, where they sized his foot, and he says these fit exactly the same, very comfortable. We'll have to wait to see if the quality is the same; he wore the first pair for 2 years before giving them up!
