I was hoping that these shoes would be the daily casuals that I have been looking for. They are cute, have a nice fit, and provide good support. However, the place where the thin bands on top of the shoe are connected to the sole irritates the side of my foot. The sides of the shoes are so thin that those bands can be felt on the inside of the shoes. It is quite annoying and I do not think I can ignore it. The pressure from it actually hurts. I hate to, but I have to send them back.

Rubbed against my heel painfully the first long walk I took. Now they are too dirty to exchange for possibly a smaller size (may've been slightly too big). Money wasted.

These shoes are just the cutest....but NOT comfortable....the 7.5 was too small and the 8 was too big. The back of shoe is too high and and rubs behind the ankle. Sad to say not a keeper.

Had a odd feeling lift in the heel. That was very uncomfortable. I was disappointed because the style was exactly what I was looking for.

I just love these shoes but can no longer wear them due to the change in sizing. A few years ago when I began wearing them, the 8 1/2 I ordered was a perfect 8 1/2. Now the 8 1/2 is extremely tight and the 9 is huge and falling off my feet. At first I thought my feet had changed but I'm still an 8 1/2 in every other brand I buy. Sorry but I have to return both.

Got these looking for arch support for plantar fasciitis. The appearance was great, but felt like the footbed was all weird and positioning my foot into a totally unnatural position. Returning in fear of making PF worse.

I was really excited about these shoes when I first put them on, but then I wore them for a whole day. Not comfortable.

Wow! When they say "barefoot", they aren't kidding! I usually love this brand, but this pair just didn't have the squishy, comfortable support that I'm used to. It felt almost like a flip-flop and I need something for all-day walking! Super cute, but going back!

These are sold as Barefoot BUT they aren't for bare feet. They are comfortable with socks, but without socks, I got blisters on the baby toes of both feet and at the heels. The heels have a very rough fabric that is joined together at the heel. It is a rough bump and wore the skin off my heel in 20 minutes of walking to the market. The toe sides of the shoes have hard bumps inside from where the cords join the shoe. I tried moleskin, but the damage to my feet was too great. I'm very disappointed as I have them with me now in Colombia and I can't use them at all. I had to buy new shoes here. Bad design or defective?

This is what I get for trying something new. I should've stayed with my same brand that I always buy but I wanted to try something different and I thought these were cute. These shoes rubbed almost immediately but i wore them to work anyway. I had band-aids on my feet before lunch - the skin was gone. There was also some hard glue-like stuff on the inside rubbing my feet. I will not continue to wear them to "break them in" - shouldn't have to. I can't bear my feet hurting like that again. Lesson learned.

These shoes are totally adorable and were extremely comfortable when I wore them around my house (up and down stairs, pacing, etc). When I decided that they were comfortable enough to keep, I wore them to walk to a class 5 blocks from my house. By the middle of the 3rd block, I was in pain because the heels of the shoes tore the skin right off the back of my ankles. These shoes bypassed giving me blisters and moved right into flaying me. I was confused; I have never had a very comfy pair of shoes literally strip my skin off. When I looked at the construction more closely, however, I noticed that there is a little overlapping seam on the inside of the heel. Once home, I inspected all my other shoes, and absolutely all of them have smooth surfaces on the inside heel. That textured seam creates enough friction to take skin right off. So beware. I'm not sure what I can do with these shoes now. They are not returnable, as I have worn them outside. I may take a pair of scissors to the heels and snip off everything above the mesh to see if that solves the problem. (I just hope that other parts of the show don't unravel/fray.) If you have really calloused heels or you plan to wear these with socks (?), you may avoid pain. It's too bad that this minor construction flaw is depriving me of an absolutely adorable and practical pair of shoes. :-(

I love the look of these shoes and I love how comfy the sole is and if those were the only considerations I would rate them 5 stars. However, something about the heel construction is off. For the first time in at least a decade I have blisters and raw spots all over my heels. I cannot wear these shoes because no matter how many times I try I end up with raw bloody feet. Such a disappointment.

So here's the deal. I wanted to love these shoes. I did. They're adorable and, until I started walking, they were very comfortable. That said, if you're the kind of person who gets scabs on the back of your ankles from flats, these are the absolute worst. I wore mine for a day with an average amount of walking and the backs of my ankles were literally bleeding. (Gross, huh?) What this leaves me with is a pair of shoes that I can't break in without a fair amount of pain/blood (eew) and that I can't sell or return. It's kind of a huge bummer. Once the backs of my ankles heal, I'll give it another shot, this time with bandages on the backs of my ankles from the beginning, but honestly, I don't have high hopes.
