These are super cute and appear to be well made. However, mine had to be sent back because they don't fit. I usually wear a size 12, but these were unflatteringly tight. And there is no size 14. I hope Carve will consider how the range of athletic women are really shaped and increase their size range. Surely the women's world cup soccer players and Serena Williams should get a chance to wear cute shorts too.

I don't usually wear shorts - mostly because shorts these days are made for girls or their long bermuda shorts. These, for me, are perfect. Not too tight, somewhat baggy so I can move in them, and cute. They are not typical sizing. I am a size 6 in most things, but in these I am an 8. However, the 6 fits and the 8 is slightly bigger than I would normally wear. I kept them (and bought more) because the bagginess is great in the heat. For reference, I am 34-27-39 measurements.

I tried these shorts on at a local store and realized right away the sizing was not consistent after trying on an 8 and 10 in different colors. So when I ordered from Zappos the black, which they didn’t have in the store, I was already weary that the size might be off. Well, the size 10 I ordered fit snug like the 8 had so I returned it. I did finally find a color and size that fit like a true size 10 and was on sale. I really love the style of these shorts but wish the sizing was consistent. That said, I wouldn’t pay full price for these shorts.

Fit was true to size. I ordered the size 4 in color cloud. The color is a soft white, not a true white. The shorts are opaque. Unfortunately they do not work for me. The style is cuter in the online photo. I think these shorts are meant for younger ladies. I'm almost 40. Also, I'm 5' 8.5" and 132 lbs, size 4 or 27 in almost every brand. They fit, but they are too short. I could use an extra inch. Unless you have amazing legs or you are a shorter or more average height, I do not recommend.

Terrible fit, way too small. This must be the updated fit everyone hates. I was hoping for the loose, big, comfy fit everyone loves. Too bad, was hoping I'd found some good shorts, too good to be true I guess.

perfect style!

These shorts are the best shorts I've ever purchased! The fit is perfect, and the style is awesome. I also love that they come in a variety of colors. After ordering a pair of the quarry-colored shorts, I went back and ordered a pair of the olive-colored shorts. I still feel like I should have one more color in these shorts so most likely after I finish this review, I'll be going back to order a third pair. Yeah, I love these shorts! <3

Fit as expected and high quality material. I love Carve's shorts and have several in various colors.

I’m obsessed with these! They are soooo comfy! Ordered a size smaller than what I normally fit into and it was perfect.

Great fit and rise

These shorts are super comfortable and the fabric has just the right about of stretch.

These run true to size and are super soft! Originally ordered a size 6 because you can never be sure, but the size 4 is great. I’m 5’3” and 122lbs.

Very Comfortable, Mid rise with the ease of slight stretch, Perfect length not too long...not too short... Only negative is the fringe edge, just not my thing.

I am usually a size 2-4, and I bought these in a 4. They are great looking, but seem much bigger than a 4. I would size down. Too bad Zappos no longer carries these. I do love them.

Loved the way these fit! The description and size were spot on. I'm going to order more in other colors now that I know. Also, shipment came with their catalog which was great to see the whole product line. Had no idea they offered other things. Good quality and experience = return customer.
