These are the worst lightweight hikers that I have ever purchased. I work in retail and am on my feet most of the day besides walking about two miles to and from five days a week. The material around the toe bumpers of these shoes started to peel away almost immediately, after a month and a half of almost daily wear, the toes like like a man with a severe case of psoriasis. This kind of wear and tear after only a few days of use is unconscionable. It seems as if the insoles of these boots have no cushioning to speak of and they become extremely uncomfortable for me to wear after about four hours or so. I have never worn such a terrible pair of Hi-Tecs and I have been buying them on and off for about 30 years. I think I will stick to timberland and Adidas Day Lightweight Hikers; I have never been more eager to rip a pair of shoes off of my feet following an eight hour day than I have been with the Altitude Lite I Shields. Spend a few dollars more on something better - especially shoes with a more durable toe bumper.

boots were a little slow to break in, but they are fine now, use them daily, walk at least 15 mile a day mowing and trimming lawns, only 2 weeks but seem to be holding up . Size is small, wear 12's got 13's
